Marvel Superheroes 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
legoSDR replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'd usually agree with this but this time around I have a feeling that they'll put some effort in. I'm sure there will still be a lack of leg or arm printing in some cases, but I'm fairly optimistic we'll get scale cap, fat thor, and ronin, and possibly black widow. Because then we'd have a QR and normal version of the original 6 -

I get why you'd go for that piece but I personally think it's a bit too cartoon for the MCU. I'd much rather a new mould of the hair and beard together, or the Aquaman hair in dark tan/medium dark flesh and a printed beard, or instead of a printed beard, a new mould beard that fits with the hair -

SDCC Spidey is nice, but could've done with arm printing and a darker blue. I want it obviously but don't really care that I'll never have it -

The Hulk set as allegedly the biggest set, also I don't see why they'd bother with a small scale Leviathan if they were going to release a bigger version in the same wave Hulk came in 2 of the 4 cheapest AoU sets, don't see why we couldn't get another Thanos. I'd love him to be bald but I won't hold my breath I agree I love this set, I'm more of a fig guy than a set guy anyway I doubt it would be a jet based on the fact that it would just be the same as the SDCC set. Maybe a playset based on the fight in the ship near the end? Could be a way of giving us some of the Kree characters (can't remember any of their names) or Yon Rogg -

This would have been a solid 10/10 set for me. It wouldn't have been as low as £60 but it wouldn't have mattered Designs like this show that there are a lot of talented people out there who deserve a job from LEGO -

I don't disagree at all, I'm just thinking from LEGO's perspective. They probably wanted to go for a vehicle because for some reason they love vehicles. I think the best way to do a satisfying leviathan would've taken up much more space than a £60 set -

Rexy is targeted at 16+ plus though, anything around that age range is often more about display than play. A leviathan would definitely have some playability but not enough I don't think -

Would have been a much better choice, but you still have the playability issue. A random helicopter has much more play value than the Leviathan... which is sad -

I'm not sure they'd ever do an extension based on the fact that the set is almost designed with repeat pruchasing in mind (in my opinion). The fact that you can move and change the set and add to it I think is a conscious effort in the hopes that people will buy multiple to make an accurate HOA. All they'd then have to do is release the other figs in other sets although i do like the idea -

I'd also love to see a bricktober pack with the following Captain America First Avenger suit OR Stealth suit Iron Man Mark 2, that way we'd have all the main versions of his suit (the suits we get in the first avengers sets are basically identical to the Iron Man 1&2 suits) Black & Red Spider-Man from FFH Stan Lee tribute figure -

if the four other sets are Endgame (which seems likely) and the Hulk copter is apparently the most expensive, then I can imagine them being something like this £20-£30 Giant Man with Rocket and the new Iron Patriot suit £35ish set with perhaps a buildable portal and wakandan vehicle with a scale suit Cap and other figs (perhaps an new Captain Marvel and some soldiers) £50ish set which is mostly battle scenery with playability, or a bigger dropship, with fat Thor and other figs (possibly Korg and Valkyrie with her Pegasus) Possibly a small £12-£20 set similar to the IW dropship with Ronin and an updated Nebula I'd also LOVE to see bald Thanos (and will never stop saying so until we get one) in one of these sets. I don't think it's too unreasonable considering they've made a whole new mould for the Stark gauntlet. I know it's just the Infinity Gauntlet flipped but it is surprisingly hard work for LEGO to create a new mould as complex as that and obviously in those sets we'd get more outriders and chitauri than we need -

Has everyone seen the latest Endgame leak? Thoughts? -
Looks like the trees can be removed and the two halves of the build separated... very cool does the set say coming June 1st for anyone else? I'm a VIP so it should be available for me to buy...

A Hellboy LEGO theme based on the comics or the Guillermo Del Toro movies would be incredible I love this idea -
they've probably already got plans for a second set or wave of smaller sets depending on how well this does Unlike Simpsons and Ghostbusters this has potential for a lot of smaller sets, so if the reception is good enough I wouldn't be surprised if we see something this time next year. So that could include the pool scene with Barb, or the Lab building with plenty of figures like Bob, or the portal, or steve and the kids vs the demodogs in the junkyard etc

we can always dream of the day we get an MCU CMF -
I love that idea but I don't think those characters are marketable for a CMF a CMF is massively unlikely because it will have to be for kids as well. They can get away with doing a D2C because they can put an age "limit" on it
-
that's what I was thinking. Only draw back is that it would be pretty expensive another options is that they give us the four characters in a bricktober pack
-
exactly, then put Fleur and Cedric in their 2nd task gear in a CMF maybe

All very good points. Excuse my ignorance when it comes to USA TV ratings but I thought PG-13 was mature lol. Stranger things is definitely older than PG-13 though so in that way I'd say it's fairly groundbreaking. from what I can guess by your list of PG-13 content it's equivalent to a UK 12/12A, Stranger Things is Rated 15 in the UK (same rating as the Marvel shows, as well as Deadpool, Logan etc) -
could even make a small attachment to the ship which depicts the underwater task? could fit quite nicely even if it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's totally unlikely though
