  1. The way I read the question, it was about why 1 stud specifically. It would seem this should depend on some combination of the unsprung weight and the force&count of the springs.
  2. ... or another version of brick-built turntable à-la RTC. The cited reason then was because of the model's size and weight, the usual turntables didn't make it. Can't make out anything from the video though.
  3. Sooo, did we learn what's the colour of the SUV? The only two pieces of information that I saw so far was "can't remember" (which does tell you something) and... uhm... the "flamingo" codename. Any confirmed info?
  4. Is it? It offers working steering wheel in exchange for the bombastic trunk opening. Or did I get it wrong?
  5. Coming back to the pullbacks: I'm wondering if the absurdly f1 shape of the police car can be explained by it acting as a ramp for the getaway car?
  6. I'm almost certain it's not the goal there. It's rather to appeal to kids looking for any RC toy and introduce them to Lego technic. I'd expect this will become a standard base to cover in future too, similarly to "cheap, impulse buy" like the hook loader, "pair of pullbacks" and the flagships.
  7. My guess: the previous racer was successful and this is an attempt to repeat that (also: it enables racing between the two different models which I'm personally looking forward to). I guess you know it but for explicitness: the tracked RC cars are easier to steer with only vertical levers (the left-right meaning doesn't change when the car is going towards you).
  8. Anything more specific? All that I could find just scrolled through text in one way or another.
  9. I see that there are some rules about sending PMs. I'm also not allowed to do that ("you have 0 PMs left"). I couldn't find any info on this in pinned threads. Can I get the pointer to some instructions on what these rules are?
  10. Thank you Doug, Jim and Allan: this worked beautifully!
  11. Here's a picture of the wheel (+peg+axle) detached and a video of this happening: https://photos.app.goo.gl/hQKIexAs3oYHzmhg2 Thanks! :)
  12. I have a question: I just built the model and all the functions are working fine. The problem I have is that the... wheels fall off after driving for a while. The "axle 4 with end stop (87083)" are pulled from the gears (I think it's the "lego gear with 24 teeth (3648 / 24505)") that hold them in their "Beam Frame with Wheel Bearing Assembly (92908)". I checked the instructions few times but there is nothing to provide additional friction. I'm wondering if it's my floor, a mistake when building or an actual problem in the set. Anyone experienced this?
