Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Puresh replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I know where you're coming from but I'm almost 100% sure that 75932 will NOT connect to the D2C. If you're paying $250 for a Jurassic Park set, you can't be expected to buy another $40 set to complete the interior of the build. In addition to that, it would be very challenging to connect the existing set with the new one, leaving a weird looking gap in the build if you don't have it installed. Just look at the walls and how hard it would be to build something around it -
Minecraft came out in 2009, the ideas set in 2012 Overwatch came out in 2016, the theme in 2018 - so it's shorter than ST And when it comes to Angry Birds, that was already an established game franchise long before the movie
-
That's fan made

I've met multiple people in the Lego community that are just now getting into the show because of the set release. I don't want to ruin the experience of watching the first season for anyone

Jurassic Park isn't gory at all, the only scene with actual gore is the death of Ray Arnold. SPOILERS FOR SEASON 1 OF STRANGER THINGS: Stranger Things, however, shows a man with a bloody bullet wound on his head, the decayed body of a child and at least 7 soldiers with exploded brains, blood all over the floor - and that's only three examples TV-14 is completely different to PG-13. Look at other shows like Lost, Gotham, Supernatural or even some episodes of Breaking Bad - all of these are also rated TV-14. Especially in terms of language and gore, the rating allows for much, much more than anything even close to PG-13.

I guess that sort of makes sense, they did the same for James Bond. It still baffles me that they would do it though, the Bond car sold terribly the day it was released because no one was expecting to be able to buy it instantly and even those few who did had to save up for a product they didn't even know what it looked like

Don't even give Lego any ideas If there's no Joyce, I'm going to film a video of me burning the house instead
-
I would definitely do that if they leave her out
-
Or Joyce... they left out the owner of his own mansion, Lockwood, in the Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom set
-
It's a surprise to be sure with the adult nature of the show but trust us when we say it's happening
-
Yeah I agree. Especially since the Finn hairpiece is absolutely perfect for Lucas, you really don't need a new mold for him
-
Not really, the Duffer brothers have said multiple times in the past that they don't want to unnecessarily stretch the show out longer than it has to be. They want to tell a story. They've said that 4 Seasons is where they want to end it, with a really small chance at a 5th
-
I... don't even remember the original quote, I think @Vonsek still has a screenshot of it
-
My throat hurts just thinking about that
-
Uhhhh.... Not sure how that would be "awesome" Lego would never include a corpse in a set that isn't a skeleton anyways - especially not if it's as gruesome as Barb's
-
Yeah, that really sucks, that was one of the main reasons why a lot of people doubted the set was actually real when the first rumours started to surface. I really don't know if they declined your project because they were already working on it or if the people at ideas just have different opinions on how appropriate the theme is (it's probably the most borderline license to date) What an amazing project this is though, I hope the real set looks just as good as your rejected submission does, it's truly beautiful

Just repeating it on here for everyone who doesn't know, if a Winona Ryder figure is included in this rumored set, I'm eating it on camera

Oh, please don't consider it as a rumor, I'm just guessing what could lead to the low price / part ratio -

Am I the only one who thinks a brick built Rex might have a pretty good chance to be in the D2C? It's aimed more at adults anyways, and AFOLs have been asking for less specific molds and more brick build dinosaurs for years now. Heck, two Ideas projects of a brick built dino have achieved 10.000 supporters already. Of course it would be much smaller than those, but it could also explain the extremely low price / part ratio the set has in addition to the bigger appeal to adults -

Oh yeah, you're right. I should've made the legs dark tan. That was a little oversight by me! I am, however, almost certain Nedry will use the Finn hairpiece. The "Danny Nedermeyer" figure from the new wave also used it. The piece they used in the game sadly doesn't exist as far as I know -

I took the leaked images of Nedry and Ian and sketched their torsos and face prints onto a figure template and added the hairpieces. I was trying to see how they would look assembled. I'm pretty sure that would also count as a leak on here so you'll have to look for it on Instagram. Just search for #legoleaks and scroll down a bit. I hope this doesn't count as some sort of self-advertising, I honestly have never posted anything else beforehand and I really couldn't care less about subscribers or likes on my stuff. I made this for you guys
