Walking Dead has a very young fanbase, maybe even younger than ST, it's also very tame when it comes to sex and language, it's just a bit gory. I honestly despise the show myself but I know there are loads of fans all around the world. It's of course not in it's prime anymore like ST but neither is OW and that got a whole wave with tons of new molds and a second wave set to hit store shelves this summer
-
That is certainly true, but then again other shows like the Walking Dead are also extremely popular with kids that age, while Game of Thrones is watched more by adults and older teens
-
Let's hope that's true and Lego won't pull a sneaky on us and release 4 series in one year, I really don't like CMF series myself
-
Someone is claiming that they heard a rumour about "71049" being a CMF Series for ST, with 20 figures. This is really just a post from a complete stranger, who's not associated with the leaking community but it's still interesting to hear

While I certainly agree that Stranger Things is a far more adult license than any that came before, I think we can all agree that GoT is another level entirely. While pretty much all of the deaths in ST are quite gory and disturbing, there aren't too many of them. In addition to that, the only real on-screen sex scene was still very softcore. Game of Thrones, on the other hand, has sex scenes that show pretty much the entire body of both the male and female stars. The deaths in the show are also excessively gory. Stranger Things is rated TV-14, which is why I think other shows with that rating have a good chance to maybe one day get an official set (LOST, Supernatural, Rick and Morty etc.) but I doubt that Game of Thrones would ever happen myself.

"• Netflix and Build - take part in a special building experience" What does that mean? I hope it's not one of those exclusive bags with instructions like what they used to do with Toys R Us back in the day with movie releases (the Jurassic World gate for instance) - those had exclusive stickers and sometimes even prints

Lego just revealed the car and Hopper in a little teaser video on Facebook

Is it the image that has been spreading for quite a while now? The one where Lucas is holding the purple wizard hat to the right?

Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

Oh my That looks absolutely amazing! What an incredible MOC - Let's hope the real set is as close as possible to that. May I ask how many pieces roughly went into your model? -
Yeah, I also thought it might be a regular minifigure head with printing (or knowing Lego lately, probably an Invincible Iron Man helmet with printing ) And I agree, this is still such a mindblowing thing to happen, I hope it'll open the door to other mature licenses in the future (of course not too mature but this is already going pretty far)

Okay, I think I'm going completely insane now. Look at the back of the box - to the right, you'll see two pictures: Eleven standing next to Hopper, who's sitting in a chair. Beneath that you can see the Demogorgon standing next to the upside down version of that very chair but... it looks like it has another head mold?? I don't see any petals in that image. I'm almost sure this is just my mind seeing something that isn't there but I just can't see where else the petals would be
-
It doesn't, he uses the same hat mold as McCree in light tan We already have three new molds for this D2C, that's a new record
-
Yeah, you can create a VIP account for free in a matter of 5 minutes, then you'll be able to buy it om shop@home like usual

May 15th is the reveal and release of the set. It's a midnight reveal in the UK though, so you'll probably see it on the afternoon of May 14th if you live in America

Way too thick, puffy and tall, imo the new Sirius Black hair would be perfect

Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion

Where did you get that number from? I agree that a huge "park tour" set wouldn't work without at least 5.000 - 6.000 pieces but we know for a fact the D2C we're getting is 3120 pieces. Multiple sites have confirmed that. My best guess on why the price to part ratio is as good as it is is because the Rex will be brick built, thus increasing the part count of the set more than a molded one will. That's just speculation on my part though. -
Yeah, you're right - it's actually black in the show. Weird
-
Not sure if it's black. It looks more dark green to me. And if we're back to talking about accuracy, Will's bike is red in the show - one of the posters for S1 shows this very clearly
-
Yep, the axe is just the same old red axe piece that was first introduced with a CMF figure. You might be right about there being a second poster too, it could also be a window though. When it comes to the accuracy, I noticed a few things too, I guess it's still a Lego set at the end of the day, not a replica of the house. I mean, the whole upside down version of the house is also mirrored from left to right, it wouldn't have looked nearly as good if it wasn't though, it wouldn't have looked like a "mirror" of the real house that's on top of it

First up, THANK YOU I'm honestly really tired of everyone only talking about the leak fiasco. I'm also glad I'm not the only one who's been looking at the low-res pictures of the box for hours on end, trying to spot new stuff Regarding some of the things you mentioned: The poster looks like the Thing to me, you can see some white orb in the top part of it - but I'm guessing it will just be a figure with a white head on it, I doubt Lego got the licensing for that. I also believe there is a baseball bat in the corner. The bed also seems to have a fabric piece that spans across it to represent the blanket. The camcorder on the attic is an easter egg, just like the purple wizard hat (which you can see better in the leaked figure picture) - both are references to Seasons 2 and 3. The camcorder is obviously Bob's he gives Will in Season 2 and the purple wizard hat seems to be from "Will the Wise", a costume Will will wear in Season 3, looking at a leaked Funko Pop picture. I also instantly recognized the fact the alphabet and Christmas lights are in the upside down version of the house. It honestly makes more logical sense, how else would Will communicate with his mother if he doesn't see the letters on the wall, but it's inaccurate nonetheless. I do also agree that there should've been more lights all around the house, but I think it could've been too much to pose figures around the interior. The reason I think there might be a mesh piece in front of the light brick is because the picture that shows Joyce on the couch also shows the light brick function - the light doesn't seem to just illuminate the sticker of the alphabet though, it looks like it illuminates many little dots on it, hence my theory Actually, small little edit like this since the edit function seems to be broken for me The poster actually looks to be from Jaws, I looked at one of the windows instead of the poster in the beginning I believe. If you look to the left of Dustin sitting on Will's bed, you can clearly see it's Jaws

I agree, this whole leaking fiasco has no place in this thread, but I don't think that should be a reason to close the thread - let's just focus back on talking about the set itself For instance, I've been looking at the pictures of the back of the box for a few days now. I might be wrong but it almost looks like there's some sort of mesh piece in front on the light brick that breaks the light up into smaller dots when projecting onto the alphabet sticker. In addition to that, I believe Joyce will also have her axe - one of the pictures looks as though it replicates the scene where she's sitting on the couch with the axe in her hand while Joy Divison is playing in the background
-
I'm almost certain it's dark blue, comparing it to some of the black pieces near it
-
Welp, for normal consumers, this set will be an even bigger surprise than the 007 set. At least Lego teased that one for weeks on their social media accounts... We only have one single teaser for Stranger Things and even that was only sent via email to VIP members, not posted on any social media and even then it's cryptic as hell
-
I do agree with you on this. I don't see a single reason why Lego couldn't just reveal the set on May 1st, one day before they ship it out to all Lego stores across the world. The "reveal and release on the same day" tactic failed completely with the James Bond car too
