Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
Puresh replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in LEGO Licensed
I agree, that looks terrible (no offense to who made that but it doesn't look like a 3120 piece Lego D2C, more like a MOC of Lockwood Manor) -

I think it's highly unlikely we'll ever get more than one or two of those - and even then, probably only in a third our fourth wave. You really shouldn't get your expectations up over the D2C, it's about the figures and build, not new dinosaur molds. Don't expect anything more than a recolour or two -

This set is not focused on the dinosaurs as much as the regular playsets, this is going to be a collector's item for fans of the original movie. The Visitors Center is probably going to be a huge structure and the exclusive figures like sexy Ian also add collectability to it. I'm almost certain the baby Dilophosaurus mold was created for this set alone, but we just saw pictures of the smaller sets earlier. Other than that, the first movie mainly featured the T.Rex and Raptors, which we already have molds of. I personally care the most about finally getting all of these characters in Lego form, in addition to a huge build from the original movie. The dinosaurs are just a bonus for me, since we already have the original Raptor and three different variants of Roberta -

And the Visitors Center, otherwise they would've most likely skipped Ray -

I honestly didn't expect Lego to do this for us... I was 100% expecting this to be yet another set from the animated series but it's from Jurassic Park... ahh You can't even imagine how happy I am to see these. It's almost surreal -

I think late May is when we can expect a reveal. We sadly still don't know whether these sets release in June, July or August I'm really late to this, but I think you might be onto something here. The Baryonyx design was the exact same too. I also think this looks like a figure that fits with Lego's budget for D2C's - dual molded arms but no new mold for the hat seems fitting. The face is also incredible for Hammond, such a perfect expression -
Damnit, I also fell for it I think the Duffer brothers have indeed mentioned that they want to end the show after 4 or 5 seasons though, as they don't want to needlessly milk it to death like other shows (looking at you, Walking Dead)
-
That is certainly true, but then again there's only so many characters you can include in a D2C that scale. If we include the main kids, Hopper, Joyce, the three teenagers and the Demogorgon, we're already at 12 minifigures. This would give us very little wiggle room to get other popular characters like Bob, Barb or Brenner.

Same here! That's an amazing mold that could be perfect for this theme, it would be a shame if it was only for the Silent Mary
-
That reminds me of something! If Lego's smart, they could just reuse that corpse shark mold from the Silent Mary in a boat set for this theme! Make some parts of it grey, some trans-neon and you have yourself a great monster

The torso is good, but what is really amazing is the hairpiece! It's exactly what a Hammond figure needs! It'll definitely be a solution in case the D2C isn't based on the first movie -
Huh that's odd - it has only been a few days since my rewatch and I vividly remember those two bully friends of Steve drooping a f-bomb two or three times. Maybe that's just how they translated it in German
-
Given how long BrickFanatics took to report on it, I think we can safely say they heard it from a source of their own, the same goes for BrickWars
-
Neither can I to be honest, there's a reason I said I'd eat Winona Ryder if we got the set I'm not saying StoneWars, BrickFanatics etc. don't know what they're talking about since they've been very reliable in the past but rumors just sometimes turn out to be false - even if they come from very trusted sources. (It wouldn't be the first time this happened) I just recently rewatched the show too which is probably also why I have such a hard time believing this - the show is far darker than I remember, there is loads of swearing in it (even the occasional f-bomb) and the gore is almost on an R-rated movie level in the later episodes of Season 2. If this does however turn out to be true, I think it will be the absolute limit of what Lego would be willing to do looking at licenses. I'm not entirely sure what rating the show has in the US, but here in Germany it has the same rating as shows like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad. That being said, if it does happen, I can only pray it's the lab and not the Byers house, my throat would thank me for it

Haha, yup that was me I never said anything about two figures though, only one

Thanks for the review. I love the set but what I really need is a high quality version of this image - I've looked on your Flickr but didn't find anything. It looks incredible

Hey everyone! I know it's been a really long time since anything has been posted on here but it seems like there is a chance we'll see (some incarnation) of the Doctor in TLM2. We'll have to see what Doctor it is though and if the role is big enough to justify a minifigure in one of the sets / the CMF like. I'm still hyped - maybe we'll get that 10th Doctor figure so many people have been wanting for so long now :D (I'm not entirely sure if Jodie has too big of a chance to be in one of these sets or the movie because of how long animating / writing and stuff like that takes so I'm not convinced that they had the time to include her in the movie or if she already found the way she wanted to play her role in those 16 months since the announcement)

Yeah this was a bit too vague for me though which is why I got in contact with them again :P Dear Mr. **********, It's nice to hear from you again. As my colleague told you, the data for the Overwatch sets is slightly different for the US and European countries. But you do not have to worry, the sets will also be available in Germany. The text on the shop website has also changed ever since and the set is available from 01.01.2019 and you can then order this as normal. Have a nice Sunday. Strangely enough the text on the website is still there (for me at least) but I think this is a good confirmation we'll get it here too
-
Okay Lego replied. Here's the text I recieved. Interpret it any way you like: Dear Mr. *****, nice to hear from you. It's true, the Overwatch Sets are not yet available in all countries and the pre-order settings are not available on our website yet. Since set 75975 will first be available in the US, you can pre-order it there, unfortunately you still have to be patient. Unfortunately, I can not give you an exact date. I wish you a nice weekend.
-
Looking at the shop@home page for different countries, every single set is available everywhere Jan 1st except Watchpoint: Gibraltar (75975) which reads "Not available in your country" in the following countries: Germany, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Denmark and Spain. This strikes me as odd since there is no real reason or explanation on why this is. I've already sent a mail to Lego about this. I will keep everyone up to date with this and share the information as soon as I can. Here's a screenshot of the text for everyone to think about

As a fellow Tracer main let me just say that this figure is just incredible. I would have never expected a new hairmold since the Ninjago one we have is close enough to Tracer's but Lego blew it out of the water as usual. The only thing that could have been improved on is maybe her arm which could have benefited from a UK flag print. Other than that I'm pleasantly surprised and can't wait to see more! Cheers Love, the Cavalry's here!

I think it's perfect for Hammond. I'm not sure if the picture you posted was a real figure or you using a face that looks a bit like Hammond but I think it fits him quite nicely

I'm sorry but are we talking about the same John Hammond here? That hair/hat combo doesn't fit at all. The hair is too long and the hat looks more like a witch hat rather than the one Hammond had.

I just received my copy of the set a few hours ago and finished building it about two hours ago. As someone who complained about the set when the first picture leaked I must apologize. The shape looks almost perfect from every angle and the designing process that went into the play features is just breathtaking. Comparing it to my other creator expert cars (I have all of them) I have to say it looks the most appealing by far. I especially love the ejector seat - as expected - but the way it was pulled off blew my mind. (I didn't look at those GIFs because I didn't want to ruin it for myself) All in all this might be in the top ten list of my favorite sets of all time and I almost feel bad for criticizing it so much at first
