I'm so in love with this set. It's nice to see other designers tackle a modular building, and I love it's open-plannedness (there's a better word I could use, but it escapes me..). For her first large scale model especially, Astrid's down a stand-up job, clearly training as an architect can help with Lego designing.

REVIEW: 40019 Brickley the Sea Serpent
Roger Rabbit replied to SilentMode's topic in Special LEGO Themes
While I never made it to Milton Keynes, I picked one of these up at the New York Lego Store in Times Square and am very happy with this little set. Can't beat a little bit of harmless fun and a throwback to childhood with a Lego set. -
"Just another modular..." pfffft, as if!! It's brilliant. I particularly love the interior, the details are outstanding. Well done.

4. Dix - 2 points 1. tatertots - 1 point 5. SilentMode - 1 point 19. Farrant - 1 point I must say, I found it really hard to limit my voting. There are so many amazing models here, I'm genuinely in awe of everyone's ability. Well done guys, you should all be proud. Here's to a third Winter Village contest!!

Simply amazing - I want it. I want it now. I love everything about, I just wish that we had some high-res pictures and images of the interior, but these will do fine for now!! 237 people are reading this, says it all really.

VIP Exclusive 850458 LEGO® Minifigures set
Roger Rabbit replied to Thego's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Or "Which ones are pretty cheap to produce"... Personally, I'd quite have liked a new VIP exclusive minifigure, in the vein of Lego Club's Max, even if it was just the little red man holding the sign. -
VIP Exclusive 850458 LEGO® Minifigures set
Roger Rabbit replied to Thego's topic in Special LEGO Themes
From the email: Not gonna lie, I'm pretty gutted - all from series 3!! Not at all impressed. Yes, it's the set the VIP members voted for a while back, no information on availibility yet, only: -
Just saying, I want both of these - right now!!

Lego Christmas Crackers?
Roger Rabbit replied to TheKingOfBuilding's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Genuinely shocked that our American cousins don't have Christmas crackers. You're missing out. But Lego versions would be awesome. -
Just out of curiosity, how much are the Town Folk and Temple of Gloom??

REVIEW: 8827 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6
Roger Rabbit replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well done on yet another brilliant review mate. Although, it feels so weird to read this just hours after it's been posted and have some of the figures right here!! Although I just noticed, on the poll it says "How do you rate this entire Series 5?" -
Hmm.. I'm both intrigued and bemused..

Not sure if I'm allowed to post a link to a voucher, but someone one Bricklink posted this: WHSmith Vouchers And use the toy one to get a discount, as far as I know you can print out as many as you want.. If I wasn't meant to post this, feel free to delete it and I apologise in advance. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
Roger Rabbit replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Picked up seven from WHS today for only £8.93, although they were behind the counter, so I didn't get to find specific ones.. despite only coming out of one box, I managed to get all three surgeons.. plus an additional Lady Liberty (which I've used as a fancy dress costume) plus a Celtic Warrior, Bandit and Skater Girl. Only seven more to go now.. -
Five Series 6 minifigures.. must fight urge to hunt the rest down immediately..

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
Roger Rabbit replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Got my first five here: Flamenco Dancer, Minotaur, Leprachrun, Space Girl (aka Barbarella/Blonde chick from Abba) and Lady Liberty. Couldn't find them in Smith's near work, but trotted along to Toy R Us and couldn't resist grabbing five.. although there wasn't that many left to be honest. Can't wait to complete my collection. At the moment, the Statue of Liberty has to be my favourite (and the only one I'm buying more than one of, I want to use one as a minifigure fancy dress costume). although I have a soft spot for the Genie and Sleepyhead, so it could change once I get them. The Roman would rank higher if he wasn't wearing a thong.. -
2012 LEGO Architecture News & Discussion
Roger Rabbit replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'd been hoping for Sydney Opera House to be made as a Taj Mahal/Tower Bridge scale model.. will see what this one is like. -
Love it - so simple, but so effective. Well done mate.

Thanks for pointing this out, I never would've noticed this otherwise. I gave one vote each to the Colosseum (purely because I was there during the summer and thought to myself, I wonder if Lego could pull this off? But I'd prefer a model of this on an Eiffel Tower/Tower Bridge scale), Habitat 67 (just to see what they could do) and the Gherkin (just to finally see a London landmark and to see how they would do the window pattern).

Limited Edition Lego Christmas Vignette 1/2 2/2
Roger Rabbit replied to GRogall's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I know the feeling, I missed out again this time around and am gutted. If any lovely Eurobrickers is willing to sell a part two to accompany my lonely part one for a reasonable price, feel free to PM me (I just realised how much that sounds like a lonely hearts ad...).- 53 replies
