  1. Very nice.
  2. Nice review of a reasonably decent set. I'm in New York in February and will probably pick one up over there (as it's about £12.50 compared to £20) and I can say it's actually from New York, which is pretty cool. I might be tempted to get a Rockefeller Centre as well, as the Lego store is actually there.
  3. I believe it was this guy and his lady friend (although I always assumed she was his daughter), who are buried in my original shoebox of lego. Sadly, her hair went missing years ago...
  4. This set just jumped up to number one on my must-have list (tied with Grand Emporium), and with my birthday three weeks after this is released, it's straight on that list too.
  5. I know these pictures have probably been posted before (I didn't have the energy to trawl the 20+ pages of this thread..) but here's a link to ten of the new figures. I'm going to New York next year, so I'm gonna have to get a Statue of Liberty. Series 6 Minifigures Pictures Leaked
  6. Only one more to go (the little clown), but the guy at my local Argos promised to call me when one comes in stock, as he's a fellow AFOL. I've only got duplicates of the royal guard (which was intentional, as the guards are always stationed in pairs and it's my personal favourite) and Ice Fisherman and Evil Dwarf (which was entirely accidental as someone else picked them up for me). I really like this set, it's the first I've completed (I wasn't into Lego for years and only picked up the occasional series 3 and 4 figure) and am not disappointed with any of the minifigs.
  7. Great review of a pretty great set, will get myself on eventually (need to get the GE first..). I would love two townhouses though, that looks awesome..
  8. One word: Amazing. It's brilliant, I want one!! If I were a minifigure, I'd move there in a heartbeat.
  9. Awesome, as a Londoner (well, just outside), I desperately want a grenadier guard..
  10. Can someone please explain to me how Jayne Torvill fits onto the black bit..??
  11. Grand Emporium or Fire Brigade??
  12. Awesome MOC!! I would like to see a hotel added to the official modular line one day. The sordid little basement bar make me laugh.
  13. As the saying goes, less is more, and your great little church proves that!!
  14. Wow, that is awesome, can't believe you actually went!! Great review. Perhaps you could review the tour, it would be great to read (even if it would make me super jealous ).
  15. Great review of a lovely set, I'm too young to have had these sets, but have searched eBay and have my eye on a few, they seem really nice and have a certain charm about them..
  16. I have to admit, I've been looking at eBay for these great little sets. Nice article, we need more of these great little houses. I was also wondering if someone could tell me what the selling price of the 2010 City House was when it was out, cos I've seen it online for £40 and was unsure whether it was a good deal or not?? Many thanks.
  17. Good improvements, I just noticed that if the fire brigade need to leave out the back door, they'll be hit by a train though!! And I was just wondering, where did you get that awesome wind turbine..??
  18. The White House (£39.99), Sears (Willis) Tower (£17.99) and Rockefeller Centre (£34.99) are now availible in the UK. The John Hancock Tower was not so lucky..
  19. What's gonna happen when they release more modular sets then??
  20. Nice review, will get this set after I've got the Apple Tree House, cos I'd hate to miss out on that.. I like the original build best, looks like a perfectly normal Lego home. Will wait til it appears on Amazon though, they are normally so much cheaper when it comes to these houses.
  21. I'm very much enjoying seeing your city growing and improving. Looking forward to seeing the harbour improve and seeing the speedboat (which I purchased today, it's great and a bargain) zipping around the ocean. Very jealous.
  22. The Burj Khalifa is now availible at S@H: Build a LEGO® replica of the world’s tallest man-made structure! Burj Khalifa is the tallest man-made structure ever built, at 2,716.5 ft. This steel, glass and reinforced concrete tower was constructed between 2004 and 2010, led by architect Adrian D. Smith. Burj Khalifa was commissioned to help Dubai diversify from an oil-based economy to one that is service and tourism focused. Currently the world’s tallest freestanding structure, at over one half-mile tall, Burj Khalifa sways a total of 4.9 feet in Dubai’s fierce desert wind. Burj Khalifa has 58 elevators with the world’s longest travel distance. The assembled Burj Khalifa model is over 16” (40cm) tall and 4” (10cm) wide on a base with a printed name label. Includes a booklet with facts about the building, its construction and history. •Architectural replica of the real-world Burj Khalifa •Booklet included with details on design and history. 23. That includes the White House, right?? I sure hope so, and I hope it;s less that £39.99 so instead of importing it from Amazon I can pick it up when I have to take my little cousins to Legoland. I still think it's disgusting that the likes of the Space Needle and Empire State Building cost £20 in the UK, and cost the same amount in dollars across the pond, the equivalent of £12.50. Will the Burj Khalifa be included?? Not that I particularly think I'm gonna buy it, was just wondering..
  24. Any idea when the Grand Emporium will be discontinued..??
  25. Sorry, didn't see this thread. I'll use the fact that I'm a newbie as my excuse, if that's okay.
