  1. Love seeing mini-modulars, and this is a great and very detailed edition.
  2. Wow - both buildings are stunning, especially the magnificent curvature on the cinema. I love all the extra details, such as the film posters and that the cinema is showing 'Some Like It Hot' - great movie for a great MOC. Well done.
  3. Hello and welcome back!
  4. BLIMEY!! BEST. BARGAIN. EVER. Thanks so much for posting this, I'm know gonna have my own Tower Bridge!! For only £124!! Can't thank you paul-merton (haha) on Hot UK Deals enough.
  5. Hello and Welcome to Eurobricks. And a belated congratulations to you and your wife. And hope you make it to Brickworld in Chicago soon!!
  6. Nice to see some pictures. I have to admit though, I'm on the fence on the new batch, some make me grin because they're so brilliant, while others seem like they were phoned in and are poor rehashes. Trader: Had no idea what to expect from this one, but a nice figure. Not exactly a highlight, but a nice one to add to the collection and great to have a black bowler hat. Ameican footballer: Always happy to get a sports minifigure and knew that this one would eventually be part of the line. Like the colours, but would have liked a ball (the same goes for the Series 4 Soccer Player) Cheerleader: Shocking rehash, not at all different from the Series 1 figure except for the colouring. Female alien: Space and aliens in Lego form is not something I'm particularly interested in, but I love the detail and work that has gone into this one and have no doubt that it be popular and sought after. Conquistador: Very detailed and looks great, will be the Spartan of this series. Robot: Clearly the love child of the Robot from the first wave and the Space Warrior, it's a disappointment because of how closely it resembles the Series 1 figure (which I sadly do not own). Bavarian boy: This one has a pretzel, that's me sold. Lovely hat and great detailing. Fairy: Not really a fan, like the wings but am not keen on the hair colour. Really dislike the skirt and would have much preferred a sloped piece instead. Cowgirl: Ye-Haw! A great figure and brilliant to see more hats with hair being made, love the detailing and her lasso. DJ: Better than expected and fortunately not a carbon copy of the Series 2 Disco Dude. Love his headphones. Winged Monster: Won't be buying much or any of the Monster Fighters series so it's a nice one to add to the collection. Like the DJ, I'm pleased it's not just a series 2 repeat. Old style diver: Great headpiece and details. Looks like it has some bits attached to it's feet, adding height, an interesting concept. Pirate: A stereotypical pirate, slightly overwhelmed with gold, but a decent enough figure. Female skier: Better than expected, looks much more serious than the series 2 skier, which is a good thing. Santa: Would've liked a new bulging stomach piece, but will settle for new 'proper' hat and sack. Shakespearian: My favourite figure, finally bringing together by love for theatre and love for Lego. Brilliant detailing and one of my favourites of all the past figures already. Being a bit of a completist, I'll undoubtedly buy all of them, but it feel like some popportunities were missed and I feel this series reveals that future series (which I'm sure there will be several of) will merely recycle earlier figures. EDIT: nearly 100 people are reading this, blimey these things are popular!!
  7. +1 to legomaniac83 +1 to marvinblue Pleasure to deal with them both.
  8. Wow - that is lovely, and what a great thing to keep!! Great work. And congratulations on the recent arrival.
  9. Nice one!!
  10. A belated hello and welcome, hope you enjoy your time here.
  11. Hello there and welcome to Eurobricks. I have to agree, the quality of the sets being released at the moment is truly outstanding, particularly the modular sets in my opinion.
  12. Hello and welcome. I look forward to seeing your MOCs.
  13. I figured I'd update my list to include favourites from each series: Series 1: Cheerleader (I only own three, but she's the favourite of the ones I've got) Series 2: Pharaoh Series 3: Tribal Chief Series 4: Artist (with Sailor a very close second) Series 5: Royal Guard Series 6: Lady Liberty Series 7: Hippie Team GB Minifigures: Archer Overall, my favourite figure is the Royal Guard and my favourite series is the Olympic figures (although that probably doesn't count, so my favourite of the numbered series is 7, I think.. it will probably change again tomorrow).
  14. This is truly fantastic and all the little details are just fantastic. Now I want one of these on my modular street!! What makes it even more outstanding is that it's your first modular MOC, it's unbelievably good.
  15. That is a really terrific MOD and looks far superior to the original to me.
  16. Welcome from a fellow UK AFOL. Glad to hear you're getting back into Lego.
  17. Hello and welcome Kaze, I'm sure you'll enjoy your time here.
  18. Very true. If you're going to lose to anyone it might as well be Federer as there's no shame in it whatsoever. I look forward to seeing it. Lego + Tennis = Big win for me.
  19. Great work, shame about the result though.
  20. I've done some hunting and have sorted out a complete set, PM me if interested. EDIT: Now sold!! Will see if I can find anymore sets.
  21. That's brilliant and a great idea. Good luck with all the future builds and hope you don't have to spend too many more nights sleeping on the floor.
  22. Great review. When this reaches the UK it may have to be my first Friends buy!!
  23. Sorry to bump up an old topic, but that appears to be what happens all the time with this thread.. Had a go at this with some (very) small sets and really enjoyed the challenge!!
  24. I thought I'd give this a go and alter my Royal Guard avatar, and look what happened!!
  25. There's Lego Stores in both of the London Westfield shopping centres. Westfield London is in Shepherd's Bush (nearest station is unsurprisingly Shepherd's Bush) and Westfield Stratford is near the Olympic Park (nearest station Stratford).
