  1. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm betting on midnight eastern standard time as on sale start for entire US, pretty much just as always.
  2. When it comes to the more expensive sets, I hold out for a GWP that I am happy with as most of the more desirable GWPs require a higher expenditure.
  3. Seems like you may be guilty of trying to revise history a little bit. Last week when I posted that the designer went to a great deal of trouble to design the set for either display in linear fashion or in back to back fashion for those with display space limitations or those who just prefer closed structures you posted the first quote above. As to why one might display the set back to back I can only speak for myself but once again for emphasis: I don't have a three foot x six inch display cabinet but I do have a 28 inch x 13 inch one which will accommodate the thing nicely. Additionally, I prefer the look of enclosed structures and think Diagon Alley back to back will show nicely along with my modular collection. As they say, different strokes for different strokes but in my humble opinion saying putting the buildings back to back converts a great looking set into an awful looking one is more than a little hyperbolic.
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if it anchors a follow-up set of similar size and price or for it to be a standalone modular size set in the $200 range, both of which would be compatible with the connection pins of this years set in a variety of ways.
  5. I quoted most of them a few pages back. Frustrating to have something so obvious dismissed as ridiculous.
  6. Incorrect Blazej. If you display all four in line, you can connect one additional potential future addition to either side and so on. If you display back to back, you can actually potentially connect four additional modules and so on ; same as if display two on one side and two on the other.
  7. It is in the instruction manual so expect will be in entire production run.
  8. Just bag 21 I believe.
  9. It will fit in my display cabinet back to back but not side to side. I also like enclosed builds....
  10. Boone Builds review briefly shows Diagon Alley back to back, for those interested (or previously in doubt). It looks better when assembled in that fashion that I expected.
  11. Per BrickFanatics.com: "Once completed, the four separate builds can be locked together with Technic pins to make for an incredibly long and sizable section of Diagon Alley (they can also be placed two by two and back to back)."
  12. In my opinion, you severely underestimate your interpretation by calling it a guess. All the evidence points to this being a fact, one that seems pretty obvious to me. It won't be all that pretty (IMHO) but it will be easily done. I'll bet a million theoretical bricks on it....
  13. Options for what? Not only are they similar in size, the shapes of the backs match up pretty much perfectly. This is most obvious with Olivander's and Flourish and Blotts sections. Imagine reversing one and backing it up to the other and I believe they will link up without difficulty. So in short I think you will be proven wrong. We will all presumably know for sure in few days. I'm not sure why this concept seems to offend people. If the set can be displayed back to back, this just increases options and possibilities. One can display the set as one likes and I imagine second expansion set for this is already designed and will match up nicely as well.
  14. As I said, I didn't save the picture so my mind may be playing tricks on me. However, the pins on the back of each building and fact that the backs of the first and third buildings and second and fourth buildings match each other pretty closely in shape and height make me pretty sure that the designer went to a great deal of trouble to design the set for either display in linear fashion or in back to back fashion; for those with display space limitations or those who just prefer closed structures.
  15. Limited display space.
  16. I didn't save any of the leaked image, but I believe I remember at least one picture showing the different modules sitting back to back as if being prepared to be connected to each other.
  17. Without knowing your friend, hard to say Kelli.
  18. Link posted back on page 601.....

  25. As far as I am concerned, the more the better. Lots of projects reaching 10k is a sign of a thriving program and it is better for the consumer to have those in charge have too many projects to pick from from rather than too few.
