Aaaaaaa you are right! Amazing :D On the video I see that the green is the usual problem, but in a darker place it should be fine. Sold :D! -

I really wished for that set to have a steering :( Lego has so many new parts in that are that I am pretty sure that with a minor compromises they could do it. Let's see how bad the colour is, 50 shades of green are guaranteed. -

42228 McLaren F1

Well. If you buy the 3rd party tires, model is ok. Maybe for 50-60% of initial price. Otherwise, nothing interesting unfortunately. Speed Champions every 2-3 years with the whole squad in a proper livery for one season is still better choice. -
Lego smart brick applications?
blondasek replied to bruh's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Is it a great idea for kids? It is. Will it be affordable in the current economy by many kids? Not at all. This product can succeed only if the price will not be too high. Otherwise it is just a simpler and more expensive mindstorm for 4-5 years old kids who want to swoosh things around and play some scenarios. Although I see one interesting opportunity - it would be amazing to include them in some kind of bigger chess. It will be expensive as hell (32 bricks, hehe xd) but hey! At least it could be a bit interesting :) With the final judgment I will wait for the release of more sets but I do not see it anytime soon in Technics or any other adult set. -

Kinda cute. A bit of nice look with a bit of detailing. Nothing exciting but not too bad. -
Soo. I am a bit dissapointed and happy at the same time for the new CaDa AMG GT3. First, dissapointed because of the lack of pneumatic suspension - it is just a jack-stand. Second, happy because Lego is not that far behind. CaDa is gettin more and more pricey, specially that they are inflating sets with pieces (like an engine jack-stand which does not reach to the engine). I think we are getting closer and closer to the sunset of bigger sets. I really do wish for a proper, remotely controller backhoe with pneumatics from CaDa, before they will shift towards smaller but good looking models.

So it happened much faster than anticipated, this set's price will be on pair with Lego 1:8 Technic cars. Sure, it has more pieces, motors, pneumatics, etc. - but the price leverage is gone. COBI has also very big and heavy models (Tiger I and upcoming Tiger II, over 8k and 11k pieces, 6.5 and over 8 kilo respectively) and it is nice to see CaDa is pushing the boundaries, but I doubt that model after a year on the shelve if nothing is supporting the chassis from the bottom, will work :D Crazy times.

@R0Sch it seems that Lotus is ~25 studs wide. So unfortunately not 1:8. @Bartybum yes and no. Cada still has massive issues with quality (like I wrote, replacing so many parts in Military Crane is a big deal) or their parts and they are closing the gap in price difference. I would say I am more "concern" about new Mattel Hot Wheels cars as they are not only gorgeous but also the quality is very good. I know that as I did buy Mercedes 300 SL. Let's see what future brings us :)
