Thanks, I am not planning on making it in LDD although I am considering trying to make it in miniloop form, if it works I will make that one in LDD. I do have video instructions for it here although they are not the easiest to follow.

Thanks! hope it will work well for you :) I also have no idea how to properly make instructions from LDD.

This lego great ball contraption miniloop uses a spinning wheel to lift the balls up onto a set of ramps. Then the balls role down the ramps and back to the start again. I have remade this in lego digital designer but can't find any good way of making PDF instructions from it, any suggestions on how to do this? Exporting the instructions as a HTML building guide does not seem to work very well (it does not show a parts list for each step) the instructions are on reabrickable here.

I am also a massive fan of Akiyuki's GBC modules (especially his invisible lift) but it is a very big module with lots of unusual and expensive pieces. I know that their are lots of people who want to build it but don't have the pieces to build it (I am one of those people) my solution was to build a shorter, smaller version of it using less pieces. I tried to use the least amount of pieces possible while still keeping it reliable. If you want the instructions they are here. They are not the easiest to follow but you can defiantly build it from them.

It is ok if the 14/24 tooth gear moves a little bit, the edge of it should hit the top of the 1x2 brick beside it. I use rechargeable batteries for mine which is probably why your one is running to fast. I would recommend loosening all the parts of the loading mechanism so there is the least amount of friction possible.

Yes, they are here: Sorry they are so hard to follow, I have never been very good at making instructions. I think it depends on who you ask, I personally find coming up with new ideas the hardest part.

Thank you! Unfortunately I don't have enough of the pieces used to offset the 12 tooth gear by half a stud to build more of them.

This lego great ball contraption miniloop uses a Cardan mechanism to lift the marbles up, after that they role down the strings and back to the start again. It is very reliable and can be powered by a motor or a hand crank. If you want the free video instructions they are here.

Thanks! The Archimedes screw is timed so that it never happens, as it rotates exactly 4 times for every time that the gray part opens. If one does get stuck somehow then the arm attached to the grey part slides along the axle and avoids any serious damage. (This happened quite a lot during the building process)
