OoC: Not sure who else is nearby Johon or Leofwein, so hinting at who else he's talking to would be nice. Johon extends his arm to shake. "Name is Johon, apparently the champion of Darkness now." He says, pulling out his Decamon deck briefly. "So what brings you to Eubric?" Only now does the Raider realize that he's speaking with a tribal member rather than a knight.
-
Johon decides to make conversation with Leofwein, whom he had not met. As the knight walks from the questboard, having signed up, Johon nods to the knight, and signals him that he is welcome at his table.
-
Johon enters the hall, relieved the Regret was gone, but saddened at the losses incurred on the quest. He slashes his name across the new quest, signing up for quest 128. He sits back at a table, trying to deal with the issues confronting him.

Heroica RPG - Quest #105: Eternal Reaper

OoC: I think it's in our best interest to just finish this quest. If there is something important that happens, Endgame can probably sum it up when he gets back. -

OoC: Sorry for my absence . Been having internet issues primarily, but should hopefully be online again soon. Also, before we forget, add the scroll of anti-magic and the luminous bow to my inventory from the tourney. Johon remains silent through most of the events. His thoughts are filled with the memories of Erdathcath, and his bouts with the regret before. It seemed impossible that it was finally over. He looks over his shoulder down to Punii. "I..." he begins. "It's over..." A tear falls from his hooded face. He turns to Erdathcath, an remains silent for a few seconds. "Your sacrifice will never be forgotten." He says as the flames engulf the body. -

OoC: Is everything all right? -
By game logic, I don't think it could be consumed. It's use is specifically on an item, not an entity. For example, you can't use a venom directly on an opponent. Now the question is can you stab yourself with a poisoned weapon???

OoC: I hope things work themselves out -
The same way PvP matches have been taken care of. The host of the match, who knows both decks, would random-generate a number to find which card the player used. Realistically, I don't know how this'd work in real life, although these cards are supposed to have at least some actual magic power, based on the decamon drafter and decamodifier, so... I guess it works out.

Assuming this becomes a thing, there are still many unanswered questions and card ideas to be had. * What is the max number of boosters per hand? * Can you use multiple, different boosters, in conjunction with a card? If so, what is the max? * Must you choose the boosters before the match starts or can you choose to use them mid-play? If so, can you use boosters you get mid-play from your opponent? * What is the ruling for how you lose boosters? Some ideas for boosters: Standoff: Wins a play if it ties. If both players use the card, the play remains a tie. Scrambler: Causes you to automatically lose the play, but forces the opponent's next card to be chosen at random. (just realized that this card would be automatically lost if played with Lind's current idea...)

My thoughts: 1. Instead of becoming the "opposite" element - which doesn't really make any sense and is impossible, considering there are 9 non-etheral types - I'd recommend that it's strengths become weaknesses and weaknesses become strengths. 2. Since you only play 5 cards, how would this really work? Realistically, your opponent should at least know how many flip cards you're using. My recommendation is that - assuming flip cards are added - you can have some maximum number of special cards and that other special cards are added. As an example, a luck card which gives the associated card a 50% chance of tying in the case that it'd normally lose. As an example: Dark 4: Trumps: Flying, Plant Trumped by: Fiery, Luminous Dark 4 (inverted): Trumps: Fiery, Luminous Trumped by: Flying, Plant

Johon trades in cards for a scroll of anti-magic and luminous bow.

OoC: I should attack Apex tail from the FR first because it's hexed, and then Claw A/heal from BR -
Ok.

But the same would be true with the immunities... Unless I read it wrong, all the Sage's attacks are still elementally based. So the question is, are there any magic attacks that are not specified to an element?
-
Is there literally any difference, other than how the item got the effect, between *Immune to Magic* and *Immune to elemental-Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Ice, Light, Darkness, Electric, Wood* ? I'd assume so. And I'd assume so.

Definitely predicted Pie would, and had an idea I would as well. Speaking of the tournament, I'm not sure what I should do: keep my level 9s or trade them in? Any thoughts? I definitely felt the same way. Pretty much every other battle, at least for me, I could make sure I won and sometimes won all 5 cards. With some luck, I didn't lose any cards until the championship. However, when you're facing someone with 3 dang lines of cards, it's pretty difficult to find out what was most likely... A large portion of this last round was probably just chance.

Heroica RPG - Quest #105: Eternal Reaper

Johon rushes forward, slashing at the foe, before getting whacked suddenly, knocking him to the ground. Getting up, he manages to land a hit, before retreating a few steps. "Keep at it! He's going down, one way or another bloody other!" Johon shouts, somewhat wondering if they would actually win. OoC: I need a heal, so for Johon, I'd recommend: FR Apex Tail BR grand potion or enemy (Apex tail preferably) if already healed -

Johon sighs with relief, glad he made gains from the round, but slightly disappointed he'd lost. "Well, this was good fun." Johon replies, shaking Atramor's hand. "Was sure there for a second I'd lost Cerberus. Good game, and good luck in the final round!" -
