  1. The Wound FR The Wound FR
  2. "This wasn't about-" Johon starts, before calming himself. "We discuss this later! Fighting amongst ourselves is all the Regret wants!"
  3. "We will fight if that's the only way you see out of this. I only hope to resolve this with minimal casualties... To us and to you."
  4. OoC: Wait, I'm confused. The Regret is forcing us to kill the Gladius unit (again) in order for the Regret to spare their families?
  5. "If that means saving some lives, and therefore aid, yes. I hope to be able to convince the Gladius we aren't the problem, but I have little hope of that currently. Fighting the horde will hopefully save some of those mercenaries, and that's good enough for me!" Johon says, standing his ground.
  6. "I acted out of care! Maybe your ideas sparked the realization, but I acted out of care! I couldn't live with myself if I'd given her sadness!" Johon retorts. "We need to go fight the Oculoids, and fast." Johon says to the party. "The Regret is just buying for time." Johon looks to Mortimer. "You can't be serious... Why would we fight the Gladius unit?! They aren't the issue!" Johon growls. "Look, I'm fighting the Oculoids, like it or not. The Gladius aren't the problem! Choose now. Come with me or cower in this fight!"
  7. "How much of what I did was my choice?? You forced us into your sick game and blame me for the choices. You deceive us into your bidding and then you turn around and blame us for it! What I did doesn't make me proud. But I had more in mind than you act and you know it! You control our minds, however slightly or greatly, and then blame us for the faults of your logic! How can you possibly claim to be perfect, in any sense!? You won't even give your army free thought! The few that have realized this have been crushed in your little game! You can try to fight us and the world, but don't claim it's for a moral megablocking cause!"
  8. "You act as though their acts qualified death as a fitting punishment. Are there people in this world that don't deserve to live? Of course! And you are one of them, filthy worm!"
  9. Johon stands still, allowing Karie to punch him, knowing he probably deserved it. After she screams at him, he looks back sorrowfully. "It was a better option and you know it! You'd have hated me and everyone else her had you taken the other! How could I even know you wouldn't have thrown yourself off this fu-" Johon rants, realizing it wasn't helping. "Hate me all you want. Right now we have bigger issues." Johon finishes, using a nostrum and smelling salts (assuming he hadn't already). "I'm not going to let the Regret have any more say in this." Johon says, preparing his sword. "I'm going to do my best to end this massacre, with you lot or without."
  10. "Wait, I need to check something." Johon says, quickly making his way back to the original bulb and hacking a chunk of brick out nearby with his pick-axe. He then returns, ready to proceed.
  11. Oh the plot-holes
  12. Can't help but think of the plot holes thus far.

  13. Johon quickly grabs Em's shoulder, afraid the platform was weak. "Whoa, slow down. That thing breaks you'll fall down, down, down..." He says, checking the strength of the platform with an extended leg.
  14. "There was sadness, hysteria, rage, love, depression, nervousness, despair, and regret. The Regret held the suffering's kin hostage, and we were forced to play his game. It's leverage. Karie opted for sadness, but..." Johon says, trailing off. "I gave her love. I thought, and still think, it's the least harmful. Sure, she might not even be fully functional, but had she used any of the others... ...She's been through enough." "I'm going to go fetch Karie and Masson. Hopefully they aren't already surrounded... or worse..." Johon says, rushing out the door.
  15. Johon stops in his tracks, looking back. "It was the least detrimental choice. I didn't realize just how potent it would be, but if It's that potenet, how do you know she wouldn't have committed megablocking suicide!? I'm not proud of myself for that decision, but someone please explain how it would have been any better than what we are in now?" Johon says, agitated. "I did this for her own good. Hate me for the deicison, but at least tell me what a better alternative would have been."
  16. EDIT "Look, she would have been in a break-down. At least she is functional. Blame me, but there was no right choice. The Regret wants to tear us apart." Johon, still lingering by the door, decides to go back, checking the couple wasn't followed or surrounded. "Should be back in a minute." Johon says, exitting the room.
  17. OoC: I was using the magniscope to check for traps or anything of the sort, not for the soul glass "Is it just me, or is the Regret's plan to try and change history? And if that's the case, he must have doubts about fighting us, or at least he world..."
  18. Johon explores the bookshelves and proceeds to inspect the glowing device with his magniscope.
  19. Johon carefully pockets the paints and paint-brushes. "Who knows, these could be of use."
  20. Johon flips the document over to see if anything was on the back.
  21. OoC: Aww come on, he's better than that... Johon picks up the journal and glosses over its contents.
  22. Johon picks up some of the paint brushes, and begins painting a crude image of Seerus. "Try and find out what that glowing rod is, and what's its function could be." Johon commands to the party.
  23. Johon uses a nostrum and smelling salts. "Let's go then, I suppose..."
  24. "It was that or sadness. I didn't realize how... seductive the potion was. 'love' is not the right term." Johon says, regretfully. "I thought it would be best for her and the party."
