  1. Hmmm never thought of it like that but I do find that line of thinking intriguing. On one hand it would be pretty odd in a Chamber of Secrets centric East Wing that the Slytherin Common Room would be left out, especially with its prominence in the Chamber of Secrets book/movie. On the other hand, it would mean that the most detailed Hogwarts line would continue another year which is ultimately what I’m personally rooting for, I want this to be as close to complete of Hogwarts we can possibly get. So I hope you are indeed correct.
  2. All I’m going to say while being incredibly, incredibly, incredibly, biased, Pink Lockhart variant or bust. The Lockhart in the 2021 Chamber set with that orange/gold outfit I can understand cause the DADA classroom with the Cornish Pixies were included. But in a set where the only scene that Lockhart is present in is the whole climax of the movie, pink feels the most appropriate and would be a cool remake of the 2002 one.
  3. Clocktower to me is the least likely building due to its positioning behind the Great Hall and Main Tower which would make it have an exposed back in essence ruining the silhouette of Hogwarts Lego is trying to achieve.
  4. With the updated list, the only thing I see myself getting is the East Wing. And I’m sure it will be a great set and has the potential to be the best Hogwarts set yet but honestly I was really expecting a bit more from this wave. No individual classroom like Divination which felt like a shoehorn to complete all the PoA scenes is especially disappointing. Fingers crossed for the Astronomy Tower and Inferi Cave next year.
  5. My one hope though I’m not necessarily expecting it is that the Central Tower is included in the East Wing set. Would be a nice compromise if we end up not getting the Astronomy Tower and would be a good way to add more variety to the tower heights without The Main Tower dwarfing everything.
  6. You know what now that you bring up GoF Courtyard, I want a Moody’s Transfiguration Lesson set with ferret Malfoy.
  7. Yea that makes sense, it’s not a very plausible idea in hindsight. I personally have displayed a condensed version of the most essential parts of the castle and not the complete layout. I skipped the standalone parts like the Owlery and the Flying Lesson since they don’t connect anywhere and the Boathouse cause it takes up more depth than I have available. As much as I love the Hospital Wing, I might have to skip it due to a lack of depth that I have at my disposal. I’m trying to find ways to fit it but it would likely hang off my drawer that I currently have the layout displayed on. So the sets I have displayed presently are the Great Hall, Main Tower, Potions replacing Hufflepuff Common Room, Charms in the place of that Portrait Room, and the Dueling Club in the Great Hall. The Viaduct Entrance will be a welcome inclusion cause I have more than enough room for it length wise.
  8. I was thinking about this the other day, what if we get let’s say the summer flag ship set is the Viaduct Entrance and then the D2C could be an Astronomy Tower? The options for D2C Harry Potter sets are getting rather slim at this point that I see Lego actually feasibly attempting to do, so maybe with the Astronomy Tower being the largest portion of the castle it deserves the D2C title and budget?
  9. That’s actually a really great point, I completely forgot about the micro scale having both. And both the DADA classroom and DADA office are right next to each other even if they represent two different teachers’ use of them. And with how closely this current layout is following the D2C with some additions, maybe there is some hope afterall. While yea it’s not the most necessary room, I just really want to see a more modern take on it and it’s got a fun color palette with the pink to help break up the tan and the grey.
  10. I agree that it’s a bit of a long shot as I said so in my initial comment but I don’t think it’s because it’s been too long since the last one for people to remember or because duplicates. We just got the Dueling Club this year and we hadn’t seen one since the original 2002 classroom, well over 23 years ago. We still got till 2030 for Umbridge’s Office to surpass that record. As for duplicates, just look at the Great Hall and how many sets they’ve made for it to be swapped in and out of. The 2024 Advent Calender, Dueling Club, the Sorting Hat next year. Never mind the two potions classrooms that happened in the 2018 Hogwarts line. And the DADA classroom is just the classroom and not the office which is a separate room entirely. The only reason why I don’t see an Umbridge’s Office not happening is simply because this line is going in chronological order with the Philosopher’s Stone being maxed out in the first two years, Chamber of Secrets being maxed out this year with the odd set being thrown in here and there. If the Most Detailed Hogwarts ends this year with Chamber of Secrets complete with Prisoner of Azkaban sets being sprinkled in, they just simply had to stop before they got to making Order of The Phoenix themed sets rather than them thinking it’s too obscure or a duplicate. We got a Deathly Hallows ROR before Umbridge’s Office obscurity is def not the issue.
  11. Im genuinely curious, why can’t we have Umbridge’s Office if we have Dumbledore’s Office? I’m trying to think of a canon explanation but I’m struggling here because isn’t her office just next to the DADA Classroom like all the other DADA teachers? I also don’t think people are expecting multiple versions of DADA or ROR, it’s just they see it as a possibility or something Lego could do, not necessarily will do. Or at least I don’t. And while we didn’t get Boggart Snape, at least we didn’t get Umbridge’s DADA classroom where they just study for their OWLS. My current expectation is that this will be the last year with 3 more Hogwarts sets and if it’s a Chamber of Secrets themed Viaduct Entrance, I will be more than happy cause it will in essence be a modern remake of the OG 2001-2002 castle just a lot more detailed and some extra flavorings from the other movies. Ideally, I would love the line to continue cause I have enjoyed it so much and there’s still plenty of material to cover like a $300 Astronomy Tower would be really cool but if this year is it, I’m more than fine with what we got.
  12. The Ravenclaw Common Room not coming in a flagship set like the Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and very likely coming this Summer Slytherin, has me leaning towards this year being the last, otherwise they would of saved it for then. And it’s especially out of place in a Prisoner of Azkaban set where they could have easily put a Divination Class instead so it feels like they are trying to wrap it up. So my guess if following the framework of the last couple years of one big Hogwarts set and 1 or 2 classrooms, we will likely get the Viaduct Entrance as the big boy set, completing the Hogwarts D2C exterior but at minifig scale and another classroom most likely Divinations or Care of Magic Creatures or both. Personally still praying for an Umbridge Office set but I’m not seeing it likely. And even with a viaduct entrance, I’m still having a hard time seeing just how the Flying Lesson and Hospital Wing connect without just seeming tacked on. We’ll see I guess but Option 2 seems most likely to me.
  13. The more I look at the Hospital Wing sketch, the more I get confused of where it attaches if this isn’t flipped or something else. The rock face still wraps around underneath the arch which means it likely won’t connect behind say the Main Tower attaching to the Devil’s Snare or Room of Winged Keys. I’m just really puzzled unless it’s just a standalone like the Flying Lesson.
  14. THAT LOVEGOOD HOUSE AHHHHHHHH. It’s everything I dreamed of it being and has such a great use of colors and angles. Light up Deathy Hallows symbol is so great and Hermione reading the Tale of The Three Brothers, this so cool. Xenophilius looks phenomenal. Only wished Ron was here but oh well… Really impressed by the motorcycle build from 4 Privet Drive set, surprisingly super clean having Hagrid. And more Death Eaters can’t say no that. Two must haves. While I won’t buy the Sorting Hat I really dig the new face they gave Harry with the closed eyes saying “Not Slytherin”.
  15. I really don’t like that DADA will not be its own standalone set because it’s one of the most iconic classrooms and deserves to have the fleshed out treatment Herbology and Potions have gotten with this line. There’s all types of details they could have included in such a set. Seeing it go the way of Transfiguration would break my heart.
  16. My guess is that it could be the Fiendfyre or an out of the box pick, the firework dragon that chases Umbridge.
  17. Yea I get clone fatigue but ngl I’m rooting for a new Wolfpack Trooper and P2 Commander Wolffe for the $44.99 spot, it’s the last legion I really want. It’s also really the only thing I want from Lego Star Wars that feels somewhat realistic, I own all the OT stuff I want and all the PT stuff I want will probably not get made (Theed Palace, Geonosis Droid Factory, Geonosis Arena, Bounty Hunter pursuit remake, yada yada) Zero interest in Disney era Star Wars besides Andor.
  18. Sick, this is a great way to keep track of everything, thanks for setting it up! Man I would love to see a fully detailed Whomping Willow given the success with the Botanicals of late. This is a neat list as well! For me with the release of the Lovegood House the only thing I really have left on my list is the Inferi Cave and the Univorn scene tho I know the later is def not happening anytime soon.
  19. Imo I don’t see any wasted spots yet in this new modular Hogwarts line. Yea there are some repeats like the Great Hall, Dumbledore’s Office, and Potions but for the Most Complete and Detailed Hogwarts, they are absolutely essential and iconic, you can’t have a Hogwarts without them. This is why you have to have a Room of Requirements, it shows up in 3 different films, missing it would be wild. And it’s a new version we never received before and having another variant would be great for people who miss the GWP and gives those who did get it the really cool option of literally having it change. And yet there’s still so much new or haven’t seen in more than two decades two stuff like Troll on The Loose, Dueling Club, all the Philosoper’s Stone tasks in one Hogwarts system for the first time since the OG Hogwarts. Charms Class finally bring integrated into the system. The only one I kinda see as wasted is the Owlery as it’s own separate thing but it’s still a location that has never really got its own dedicated set. I think they can get most of if not all the iconic locations done in two years, one year if really ambitious but they don’t need to be with the HP show being pushed back in 2027 when I imagine they would reboot the system. Viaduct Entrance with Chamber of Secrets, Slytherin Common Room, Library, Girls Bathroom. A solo DADA classroom with the Bogart and Lupin. An Astronomy Tower with Umbridge’s Office, Divination Classroom where Umbridge was doing her teacher inspections, Ravenclaw Common Room, something Slughorn related either his Club or Office. A solo RoR set. And the Viaduct itself basically a remake of the 2023 Battle of Hogwarts but more detailed and fleshed out, maybe with a Soldier Statue or something. And you pretty much have most of the scenes in about 5 sets while completing the Hogwarts silhouette.
  20. They can make it a part of a larger set like the Astronomy Tower so they can completely avoid naming it or they can do a different name like Fiendfyre Escape or Dumbledore’s Army Training or Room of Hidden Things for the Half Blood Prince Vanishing Cabinet. It’s so easy to do and having multiple variations of the same room which is known for changing would be a cool play feature. After the Prisoner of Azkaban, new rooms become much more scarce so I could definitely see them redoing it in some form.
  21. Ohhhhh it’s the other meaning of instrument, today I learned, thank you for letting me know. I also love the picture of Diagon Alley next to Hogsmeade it looks really cool.
  22. I think for this GWP the minifigure will probably be DH Neville with the sweater since he’s the one who greets them and guides them back to Hogwarts when they return. Would love a DH Seamus or Ginny too
  23. The Room of Requirements as a GWP is fine with me. Given it’s now confirmed to be the Deathly Hallows version that connects to the Hog’s Head, we can still have the Order of The Phoenix or Half Blood Prince with Vanishing Cabinet version (preferably the later) later on as a solo set or a part of a bigger set.
  24. I actually like 2/3rds of the set. The Three Broomsticks is a huge improvement on the exterior in comparison to the last one and Hog’s Head/Zonko’s Gift Shop Baseplates look great. But the Honeydukes/Owl Post/Dervish & Banges sends me through the roof. Honeydukes looks practically the same as the old one besides the angling of the roof. Owl Post/Banges are way too small and remind me of the Magical Menagries which I think was the only blemish to the absolute perfection of the Gringott’s set. They should have picked one of the two shops, preferably Banges because we have never gotten a music store in Lego Harry Potter and given us some instrument molds like a Violin or something. Set is a skip for me.
  25. Mixed feelings on this Arkham Asylum. There’s a part of me that feels like there’s not enough Gothic architecture used in the facade of the building, none of the stained glass or the such. Also idk if it was just me but I felt like the Minecraft leak felt a bit taller than the actual set, so this set actually being shorter and more compact also disappointed and it’s didn’t feel as imposing as I thought it would. But after living with it a couple days and letting my expectations subside, it’s starting to grow on me and I’m sure the interior will be killer as well. Just wish we got Nightwing and Gordon instead of Batwing and Batwoman. I do really dig The Riddler, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman, my favorite iterations of each respective character. And I dig the minifig forms of Croc and Bane, never liked the Big Fig versions maybe because I grew up with them in the 2006 Batman line and got accustomed with them as minifigs.
