  1. I would definitely buy a set that included Merida and her mother (human or bear). It really seems a shame that a few of the princesses (Ariel, Cinderella) have so many sets and the rest of them get only one or two. :/
  2. I'm disappointed that they're sticking with the light purple and dark red for Belle's castle. I think it would be so much more attractive (and film accurate) in tan and dark red. Ugh.
  3. Oh I love the Elvenstar treehouse. Having missed out on the Treetop Hideaway, this is a must-buy. Looks fantastic, too.
  4. Pet peeve: Lego elements not coming in certain colors that seem obvious. The 1x1 round cones, for example, come in many shades of translucent... but not trans-clear. I have a whole row of cones with the corresponding color faceted jewel on top, but clear has to have the 1x1 round (not cone) and the inconsistency bugs me. I'm also irritated that the trans-orange (not neon) jewel is rare, too. I want the full spectrum! :)
  5. I love the play set aspect inside her head! Great concept and very true to character.
  6. If the Elves series ends after 2018, I may need to borrow your idea and invent new Elves of my own! I'm starting to amass a collection of Naida and Azari...
  7. I do hope it's not ending. Elves has really caught the interest of my 4 year old son (especially through the Netflix show) and we love playing with the sets together. Ive been collecting what I can, but I'd love to see more Elf characters introduced. Like the original Five Sisters! Since getting into Elves, I have little interest in the Disney princess Lego sets that caught my attention before. I love the secret play features that the Elves line includes. The sets aren't just static buildings.
  8. I missed out on the original tree house, so I'm really excited about the new one. No need to keep looking for one of the original sets anymore. Do we know when it's due to come out?
  9. That's a great suggestion, thanks! The inside does need a little more detail.
  10. Beautiful! The only customization I've done is to paint the underside of Nadia's hair to match the dark gradient, but I would love to make more Elves as you have done. Hope to see more!
  11. Thank you. I've really fallen in love with the Elves style!
  12. After building some Elves sets, I decided to put my own little shop together from bulk pieces I purchased secondhand. There's not a lot for the interior, so I'm thinking this is more like a little roadside shop than a full building. Shop is run by Naida and a friendly little fox.
  13. I would like. To see a collectible Disney Princess mini doll theme as a way to showcase alternate costumes for the characters, and fill in some of the gaps in the pantheon (and maybe add some more villains and supporting cast). Suggested characters (long list, but I love the Disney princess films): 1. Peasant dress ("Wishing Well" scene) Snow White 2. Cinderella rags dress 3. Cinderella pink "mouse-made" dress (include mouse friends) 4. Sleeping Beauty peasant "Briar Rose" dress 5. Sleeping Beauty blue dress 6. Ariel blue "Kiss the Girl" dress 7. Belle blue village dress 8. Belle pink dress and cape from "Something There" 9. Aladdin in mini doll form 10. Jasmine purple "engagement" dress 11. Pocahontas 12. Mulan in matchmaker clothes 13. Tiana green ballgown 14. Tiana blue evening dress with frog 15. Tiana waitress dress 16. Merida aqua "tournament" dress 17. Rapunzel with cut hair 18. Sleeping Beauty's three good fairies 19. Lady Tremaine (Cinderella) 20. Anastasia and Drizella Tremaine (Cinderella) 21. Vanessa (Ursula's human form) 22. Lottie (Tiana's best friend) 23. Queen Elinor (Merida's mother)
  14. I love the texture of the waterfall in particular.
  15. I bought the Beauty and the Beast castle mainly for the minidolls and brick-built characters, but I was unimpressed with the castle itself, as it was a hodge-podge of tan, light purple, and dark red. I'd like to see a better castle (or at least one with a more consistent color palette), and maybe a village scene from that film (the animated one) as well - maybe Belle in her blue village dress at the bookshop. Or Gaston's tavern with antlers everywhere. I'd also like to see a better Aladdin set - maybe Aladdin and Jasmine together on the magic carpet with mini builds of various landmarks. Or the Agrabah marketplace.
  16. I created this for Classic-Castle's Video Game Castle MOC category. This is a scene from one of my favorite games, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Here, Link places the three Spiritual Stones and the Door of Time slides away to reveal the Master Sword! (Larger image here: https://flic.kr/s/aHskznGbEk)
  17. Beautiful work! I love the star in particular.
  18. Not sure if I'm allowed to bump topics this old, but in the remake of Stephen King's IT, Bill goes into his brother Georgie's room and picks up a decent-sized Lego turtle. Later the model gets dropped on the floor.
  19. I'd like to see a folk tales/fairy tales theme that isn't drowning in pink panels and avoids the Disney stories. Stories that are well known but not "branded" by the Disney retelling. Hansel and Gretel: the witch's candy house that hinges open as a play set. Little Red Riding Hood: a forest and cottage, or just the bedroom with the wolf in granny's clothes Jack and the Beanstalk: maybe Jack in a macro-sized room with the golden goose just a few thoughts. I know Lego has done fairy tale sets, but I'd like to see these with actual minifigures and More historical-looking builds. And less of the pink sparkles - maybe things that would blend into a Medieval village. I'm thinking Into the Woods style.
  20. This is very well done! I love the bone flying through the air especially. I'd love to see a series of classic games done this way.
  21. The Lost Woods look so lush in your MOC! The colors make the scene look so cool and shady. (I never ran into a deer in the Lost Woods in my playthrough of Breath of the Wild. I did love that the game let you ride deer and bears, though!)
  22. This is beautiful! I love the multiple levels and the crystal mine below.
  23. I don't have much Elves, but I do have the Little Mermaid set. I'm not sure if it counts for Autumn Animals, but I decided to create a grotto for Flounder to hibernate in for the winter using what I had. I'm very new to creating MOCs but I loved the idea of this challenge. I wanted to make an underwater cave that had part of the rock sticking up above the water's surface. Again, not sure if it works for the contest, but I wanted to participate just for fun.
  24. Hello everyone! I'm fairly new to the world of Lego (although I had some Basic buckets and the set of Castle minifigures when I was a kid). I've bought a few sets new in the past few years (a few Disney and Minecraft sets) but I love the hunt for harder-to-find things. I've scored a few great deals on Ebay for castle parts, and I'm lucky enough to live within driving distance of several secondhand Lego shops. While I like building things when I have all the parts, I love the thrill of the hunt from the bulk tables! My most recent build-from-bulk is the 40139 Gingerbread House (with some substitutions for colors). I love the look of the Elves sets and hope to pick some up soon. I've done a little MOC building, but nothing too detailed. I feel like I have a lot more to learn before I can make decent MOC builds. Outside of Lego, I also like playing video games, cosplay, and watching MST3K. I also volunteer as a princess character performer for charity events like hospital visits (I play Cinderella, Belle, and Ariel), and I belong to my church's acting group. Looking forward to participating on these boards! :)
