Looks a little unsafe I must say! Hydra Flower I would call it even.

I think together with old stock there should be enough interesting parts for a set of 3. As a wave though, 0/10 as no breakdancer.

Visited my local UK store - the general release is there for us to build but the animal mascot bunch is again sold only as a pack. I don't really need those but it would've been nice to pick up animal or two. By the look of things nobody even wants to touch the prepacked stuff but I might be wrong of course. Also feels a bit off when some pieces are sold freely but not others, which now seems to be a trend with BAM.

Upon moving cities I discovered that I no longer have a store I can casually visit any day I want. Oh well. So I visited the nearest one today in The Hague and they had none of the new pieces - does anyone know if they are just usually late on this? In this store the BAM part bins are non-existent, replaced by the tiniest of trays which also do the job fine. And I got to build myself a Santa which the UK folk wouldn't let me do!

I nominate 8443. It is modestly sized and looks rather unassuming, but upon a closer look it is brimming with functions, and everything in it serves a purpose. Oh, and most old Technic in general feels a little "sketchy", giving it extra points in this context!

Whoa, Basic you say? This is borderline Model Team, much larger and more realistic compared to Town of the day! -
I would like to believe that it is but a measure taken for the purpose of managing demand around a busy period. It's just that when half the pack (think accessories, lady's head/hair, and the crook) is made up of generic pieces that are not even exclusive to BAM, it reeks of cost-saving and the pack becomes like a normal set, take it or leave it, entirely wiping out the experience of just building the figures you want/need. I have no other incentive to visit the stores.

Went in and came out emptyhanded, again. TLG don't just peddle the "generic crook", they are now making us buy whatever they decide we should buy. Apparently the parts did come in, and the store staff "kindly pre-built" the Christmas trio. Buy the whole pack or walk, they won't even let you swap out one fig. Meanwhile the BAM bins are full with loose parts from earlier releases. All I needed was one Santa (not even a complete one), off to BL I go...

Went into my local store today but loose Christmas parts have sold out until December they reckon. Complete packs are there but I refuse to give my money to the crook who decided that a generic crook is an acceptable figure. It's only been less than a week since release...

Custom LDD bricks and fixes

Always so excited for new updates - can't thank you enough for all your work guys! A few things I would like to mention. - I noticed that trans-glitter colours look darker and more realistic compared to the original non-glitter trans variants. Could it be a good idea to adjust original trans colours to match them? I realise it may open another can of worms because solid colours aren't too accurate to real life either, but would like to hear your opinion regardless. - I put together a small list of old, quirky yet versatile parts (nothing too crazy). If any of these ten could be added, I think builders would enjoy them, so thanks in advance! https://rebrickable.com/parts/2513/wheel-arch-mudguard-slope-3-x-4/ https://rebrickable.com/parts/6969/scala-equipment-towel-bar-1-x-5/ https://rebrickable.com/parts/scalaupn0029/scala-plate-special-3-x-6-with-4-inline-top-studs/ https://rebrickable.com/parts/2484c01/wheel-holder-sprung-2-x-2/ https://rebrickable.com/parts/4616b/fabuland-airplane-engine-block-with-technic-pin-hole/ https://rebrickable.com/parts/fabupn0034/fabuland-window-squared-small/ https://rebrickable.com/parts/281/fabuland-window-arched-125-x-4-x-3-with-rounded-top/ https://rebrickable.com/parts/4608/fabuland-window-2-x-4-x-5-with-square-top/ https://rebrickable.com/parts/33062/scala-plate-4-x-4/ https://rebrickable.com/parts/33029/scala-plate-2-x-4/ -
First visit of the year yielded some excellent goodies! Such as this torso: ] The head selection was pretty much nothing but the usual yellow folk, so I scooped up three calaca heads instead.

Custom LDD bricks and fixes
Count Sepulchure replied to Equilibrium's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Hi guys, not sure if this was discussed on EB, but recently published was a rare glimpse of Lego's internal tool, the holy grail of all digital builders. It actually resembles other building tools in its UI colour scheme which is certainly easier on the eyes. Hence my question - could it be possible to change LDD's background colour to assist during those long building sessions? And as a separate fix, to change the default colour of the Extended bricks from red to another one, again for the same purpose? This would be a life-saver. On a side note, I remember seeing the GPU assist on/off button somewhere, but all I can see now is the toggle for specific features instead. My GPU is a bit useless but my CPU renders like a champ, so I was hoping I could run LDD with enhancements enabled but without overheating the GPU? Thanks in advance. -
Halloween bunch looks.. alright, I suppose. Have not been to BAM in ages, yet yesterday's visit was the first time I was REALLY struggling to find anything useful for me. Oh and they now cost 2 quid per fig. Well, at least we can now assemble our own figs again!
