  1. I'm trying to figure out where you guys are seeing 4 figures on the Infiltrator. There's only 3 on the Blue Box that usually presents Minifigs - Maul, Qui-Gon and a 3rd one wich I can't recognize, probably Padme. The MF is clearly an Escape from the Death Star version - It has it's regular crew, Han, Chewie, Luke and Leia, and there's apparently Vader and Obi-Wan from their last duel aboard the DS. About the rest, I guess you guys have it more or less covered up. Cheers
  2. Sadly, I don't own any of those. Thanks for the help everyone, still. Cheers
  3. Thanks for the help Walter, I guess that's a good estimation. Will have to think deeply about this. Cheers
  4. I will respect if you (and when I say you I mean anyone of those who built this) don't want to answer this for whatever reason, but still i'll give it a shot : How much did this cost you in parts?? I'm very tempted to move forward to build this too, but I'd like to program my budget first, so I don't start it by impulse and then not end it. Thanks,
  5. No Black Pearl? No Flying Dutchman? This is starting to look like a great disapointment. Cheers
  6. As a ship I would rather like the Pelta than the Consular. Thankfully and believing the pointed Minifigure List is correct, it will at least ease my disapointment (Red Clones  ) Cheers
  7. For more I would love a MF with Nien Numb, Lando and Ca., I highly doubt that's what we are getting. Definetly something more ESB oriented! And no, I don't have a Falcon!! Except for the Midi-Scale but that one doesn't count! I'm sincerely disapointed with what we acknowledged as Summer Sets so far. MF and Republic Frigate (hoping it's the Pelta) are my only interests. Also looking forward to see a decent Sith Infiltrator, since the previous one's were horrible IMO. The rest is just , meh! Cheers
  8. 1977 South African Rands convert to ~278$, which means it's either a huge set, or taxes in SA are way too high (since the 1977 Rand figure includes taxes). What intrigues me now is this recently pointed out "Dathomir Speeder". What kind of thing could it be? Have I missed any Dathomir related Episode on TCW Series? Is it about incoming Episodes not aired so far? I'm not going to be that confident they would do something of the EU, specially on the Nightsisters and that, since it's not that popular. Cheers
  9. I'm seriously speechless now. Although we already knew about this for quite some time , it is great to have it confirmed officially. Surely great relief for our hearts! Beeing my favorite movies next to Star Wars, this is such a dream come true. I can't wait to see what is coming to ruin my wallet. Hopefully LEGO will keep up with expectations. Meh, they always do , don't they? Cheers
  10. Ah! Great timing I had when I decided to come check if there were any new posts here. I am going to be honest. She doesn't know anything... yet! I plan on making everything a surprise for her birthday (next Monday, the 8th). I just hope that with all things I have to do these days (University work, LEGO promotions to attack, a LEGO exhibit to organize for my LUG, etc etc etc ....) I don't forget to do it on schedule. To be honest, I hope she atleast likes the work, even if she doesn't like me. Cheers
  11. Should have guessed so. Thanks.
  12. Hello fellow Eurobrick members, Today I bring you a bit of what's been my LEGO activity during the past 3 years (not that it actually took that whole time, but...). First, a little bit of background story (Better be only a really little bit not to get boring...). It was around November 2007, I was in last year of High School, and there was this girl called Cristina, that I was falling in love with. At this time, I also had joined PLUG (Portuguese LUG) not many months ago, and my passion for LEGO was boiling as much as was mine for Cristina. Beeing a computer addict (and now a computer engeneering student at University) I looked for all kinda LEGO related software I could get my hands on. And well, that's when I find that beauty thing called Pic-to-Brick! I explored the program a little, and I said "Dude, why not merge my two passions and just make a wonderful Mosaic of this girl?" And well that's what I did. Starting with this photo: I converted to this: And made this: Sorry about the crappy last picture, but my Mom sucks at working with "gadgets" and having her taking a photo can be really painfull. I couldn't take it because I am disabled, and my wheelchair is too low to catch the whole thing in the plan. Now for some facts about it. It's a 96 large per 112 studs high. It's made of 4x 48x48 baseplates in addiction to 3x 16x32 baseplates at the bottom. And now the funny part, it's ALL made of 1x1 plates. Seriously. I started that way, I regreted it a lot, but there was no way back, and now it's done I don't regret it at all, because it's cool! What I also don't regret is the 380€ I spent on it (Could have saved nearly 50€ had I not bought the pieces in a whole lot of different orders! ). It was mainly done this Summer. This because at first I had to relay on friends to order pieces for me, wich delayed things, and then because when I went to University I got busier, and moved to a rented house, leaving the Mosaic on my own house to work only a little on it at some weekends. Last but not least, I would like to leave some thank messages. To all my PLUG friends, who encouraged me, helped me, and enjoyed my work. Same for all my non LEGO friends. And a special mention to my little 8 years old who was a HUGE help in placing a lot of plates (and I thought she would get bored after a few). Well, guess I've talked to much so far. Cheers, enjoy and share your feelings. Pocas
  13. Considering that without CW we probably wouldn't have LEGO SW anymore, I have to say I love the Clone Wars! Cheers
  14. Hello, First of all let me apologize if this is not the right section for Questions, but I thought it was the most suitable one, so here goes. I have got a MOC to present, a Mosaic actually. But I don't know where to present it, as the picture itself doesn't fit in any of the featured themes either. So, where should I post about it? Thanks,
  15. No, not exciting. January wave has always (or atleast in these last years) consisted of 6 sets (like the one we heard about for 2011) and there is no reason for it to be different this time. Cheers
  16. Everyone has expressed their thoughts on these sets by now, so I am not going to be the one not to do it. First of all, lemme express my concerns about the health of my wallet, because it's going to be in poor shape with all these goodies. So, and starting from the bigger to the smaller: - I don't like the T-6. I recognize the ship has a shape that's not easy to replicate on LEGO, but instead of making it so god damn expensive, solely based on it's figures, they could have improved the ship itself. I don't think it can even hold all the figures, and that sucks because I hate to have loose figures. Still, with Quinlan Vos (assuming it's not Anakin coming instead of him), Saesee Tiin and Shaak , I am surely getting it! - The Bounty Hunter Ship is cool, very cool. I just don't see where LEGO saw that is green. I know it's more appealing than coming in dark gray or something, but as an hardcore SW fan I don't like. The choice of figures looks great, but I hope they get improvements from these preliminary. I would like to add here, that I have nothing against sets that aren't Republic or CIS, but I think LEGO is really underestimating CIS. Couldn't we have got some of those good frigates instead? - The Droid Carrier is surely a great great add to my collection, that lacks droids to oppose the nice force of Clones I got so far! And of course it's nice to have some Gungans to stand as cannon-fodder. Will likely get 1 or 2 of these, depending on the avaiable budget! - About the V-Wing. Well, the ship doesn't look much different from the previous one , except for the colour scheme. But, the figures are so great that they stand for the whole set. Really loving the black pilots! - About the packs, not much to say. It's always cool to have some clone variants to add to our collection. And the Mandos are great too, only hoping that they are somehow different, and not 4 of the same kind. Cheers
  17. From what I can remember, Jack went to look for the Fountain of Youth somewhere in Florida. If from there he is lead to Africa, then that's something we will have to wait for the film to know. Cheers
  18. For more excited than I am about LEGO releasing sets of the first three movies, what's the likelyhood of that happening, concidering MB HAD (and I say "had" because I don't think they do anymore) a POTC license over those 3 movies? The fact that as I said , MB had and doesn't have the license anymore (atleast I don't see any POTC sets on their site anymore) may actually come in our favour! I for once am dreaming of sleeping aside of a Keira Knightley Minifig! Cheers
  19. About the new magnet pack, I must say I am very happy with it. I already have a Kit Fisto, but it doesn't bother me to have another one, but the main thing is I don't need to buy a 2nd Arc-170 (I have the old one) to get a Jag, and most of all I don't need to pay a fortune for that Swamp Speeder where the only thing I want is Bariss. This pretty much remembers me when not long ago I was going to spend a fortune on sets just to have CW Mace , Yoda and Dooku, and then them 3 came out in a Magnet Pack wich I ended up buying. Yes, the Magnet figures quality maybe inferior, but me and probably lots more aren't rich enough to have all we want too, so we got to use some shortcuts, and for that I thanks LEGO a lot for releasing these Magnet Packs. Cheers
  20. OMG OMG! This is such a big dream made true! I am a really really big space fan and one of my disgusts about LEGO is that I never got a Space Shuttle featuring set in due time. This said I am totally getting this one! Cheers
  21. It's time for me to add my 2 cents to the already well filled pool of oppinions about the Summer Line. Well, when I saw the January Line, I was disapointed. In my oppinion it's too weak, and hardly any set is worth buying (it's MY opinion, I don't care if you disagree). This said, my expectations for the Summer were set quite high there, and hell, Lego didn't disapointed me at all. Summer Line as we know it is quite awesome! It has some weak points, but then again all waves of sets do! Detailing a bit more on each set: - Wampa Attack - My first reaction was "Don't we have enough snowspeeders?!". I'd rather have a bigger cave over the speeder, but that may reduce playability for the little kids so will have to live with it. My second thoughts was that for more I look at the Wampa Minifig, it doesn't look like a Wampa! It may be me beeing too perfectionist, but oh well. The Luke in Hoth Gear, well it's cool, but It's not gonna make me buy the set just for it. I don't buy sets for minifigs unless they are terribly must-have. This set is on a "wait and see" status for me. - Plo Koon's JSF - "Did LEGO actually read my mind?" came to me when I saw this. I was looking at my Gunship Plo Koon Minifig and thinking that guy needed something to fly, and so I was getting ready to buy the pieces to make a JSF for him based on 7669 model, and yay LEGO gives me it! Too bad they don't gave us a JSF for Kit Fisto too! But it's a must have for me! - General Grievous SF - The Ship itself is ugly and I don't like it. I got the first model given to me, and I still don't like it. This one looks a bit more detailed and all, but not that different to make me want it that badly. Having a Mon Cal is cool and may make me buy it. About GG the avaiable pics are not enough to make me see how good it is. Then again goes for the "wait and see" category. - Palpatine's Shuttle - Now this is an awesome ship!! I am just sorry that is gonna occupy a lot of space with its huge wingspan but meh, i've stuffed bigger sets in complicated places before with no problems. The assortment of minifigs isn't that great, they should have gave us ShockTroopers, full stop! Still, a must have for me. - Slave I - Like Snowspeeders, I think we have enough models of the FireSpray Freighter and that is a big negative point for me when I consider this set. It has cool Minifigs (yay for Bossk!) but as you probably understood I am not one to go and buy sets just for the minifigs, for more that I regret that later. - CTT - Now this one has totally made me nuts and thinking why the hell can't we jump to June right now! The tank looks great (I don't have the first one, so the problem of having another one doesn't fit here) and having an AT-RT is a cool extra. And the Minifigs!! Who wasn't been wanting Cad Bane and Aayla for ages? Well I have, so it's a dream made true! It's a totally must have! About having Ani and Ahsoka, oh well, that's something well have to live with till whenever the CW series last ... Cheers
  22. Hello, First of all let me apologize if this question has already been adressed, but I couldn't find any answers on it. The deal is, that while I have not seen any news on the cancelling of the Agents line, it is also true I have not seen any pictures of future sets as I have seen of mostly all other themes. With the coming of new themes like Atlantis, PoP, Toy Story etc... i'm tended to believe Agents is gone (atleast for a while) but I would like to be sure of that. So, was it me that missed something here, or are you all as not informed as I am? Cheers
  23. In one of the countless missions of the Clone Army, to planets with hazardous terrains like Tatooine, the clone troopers found out that their Clone Walkers (the ones featured on 8014) didn't show much agility and proved to be a disadvantage agaisnt the CIS droid troops. With not much time nor resources, the most creative Clones ended up creating the Air Speeder BOTS-4108 "Breeze of the Sands", a fast and heavily-armed speeder, that for hovering some meters above the ground, allowed a better performance when fighthing the droids. Provided with a good agility, it is able of carrying 12 Clones, although the recomended number is 10, and the minimum possible Crew is 5 : a pilot, 2 gunners for the lateral missiles, a gunner for the rear battery and another gunner for the front bateries and top missiles! With this, the Clones fought they could now get the upper hand on the droids, but that wouldn't prove to be true at all. Satisfied with their victories and with the performance of their creation, the Clones quickly sent the Blueprints of BOTS to General Anakin Skywalker for avaliation and advice. Unfortunately for them, General Skywalker wasn't very impressed with what he saw, and demanded they to do best, as in his words they could do best! He asked for an even more lethal airspeeder! Without any time to loose, the Clones got their hands on work. After a long period of R&D, the Republic Clones, shown up with a new proposal of a vehicle, the BOTS-4108b. They were very excited to show the new model to General Skywalker, but the Squadron Leader thought it would be best to test the vehicle first, for they could find some improvements to be made! And the Leader was right (damn, he is Leader for something, no? ) and then several changes had to be made to model b for it to be pratical! This way, the BOTS-4107c was born, and its blueprints again sent to General Skywalker. For the general happyness, Gen. Skywalker approved the new model with much satistation, showing even great will to try it out in the future. Clones received this news with great joy and renamed the vehicle as the HTAS-4108 "Hazardous Terrain Air Speeder"!. In the meantime, we know of a secure source, that this model is beeing discountined to give place to a more evolved and resistent model. Many Bothans are dieing at the moment to bring you the pictures of said new model. Pocas -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First of all , a picture of the artist at work: Some notes: 1 - This is the first MOC I show on EB. Actually it's the first god damn MOC I make in ages. Sadly. 2 - Sorry for my bad english. It's much better, I am just rushing up this post in the middle of studying, and I am a bit tired of typing too. 3 - This model you see is made only of 8104 units (3 units), and the one I'll be showing later is made of 4 units (I had to buy an extra to make the vehicle stronger, because it was breaking appart all the time). It was a violent fight with my parents (they don't know the meaning of having multiple units of same set, nor of building an army), but hey I am like a clone, I don't quit, and I won in the end! 4 - Yes, I know that Clones can't almost breath inside it, because they are so over each other. But man, when you got a limited supply of pieces, you gotta be creative! (And even this way, I had to tear the whole thing a part a hundred times, because you know, this piece can't go here if I don't take that one, blah blah blah... ). If I could have made it better using parts not from the 8104? Sure I could, but I don't think it would value as much. 4 - Well, I think this post as gone to long, so now I am gonna shut up and let you comment. Pocas
  24. *I know this post is kinda useless, you can beat me for it* I don't have a well defined army. I have a bit of all forces, from Imperials to Rebels, going from Clones to Droids. And that's because I have what I get from sets. Yes, I've thought of buying loosee minifigs more than 1000 times, but then I go on BL, I check prices and I almost have an heart attack on how expensive they are (and thinking on how many LEGO i can buy by the same price of just a few MF's). I've been lately trying to trade MF's so I can have some more specific groups of units, but that ain't easily done either. Ah well sorry for my rant. I promise next time I'll post here i'll bring some photos with me. Cheers
  25. NO sorting. Really, i've never done it, and will never do it. Spending a few minutes (and sometimes going into real madness) trying to find that piece you need, is part of the fun (for me it is "the" fun) and therefore shall always be a not skipable part of building any LEGO set. Cheers
