Preparing for the next interview? :-D Lego Addict: you should check this section, to get a better idea of the strange people you'll meet here *wacko* X-D LuxorV
-
Thanks :-$ Sadly, I only got the idea last week, while reading the book for the second time in a month *wacko* , so it could not enter the contest |-/ LuxorV
-
No, no, no! It's just one movie :-| |-/ ;-) And one great book *wub* ; you shoul read it *y* LuxorV
-
Looks like a great set *wub* It seem next year will be busy-shopping year X-D LuxorV

Welcome to EB *y* Which are your fav themes? LuxorV

Thanks :-$ And, expect to see more of these Fabuland in my next MOCs... expecially a certain walrus, a bulldog, and a crocodile I just got from BL ;-) LuxroV

Nice idea, I may provide a V.2 sometime soon ;-) As for the jump devices, they are quite hard to build in M scale (I think I could use the legs of one of these... ... or I could build a Technic fig scaled armour, even if when I last tried (some 8 years ago) it came out quite :-X ... I based my SSTs on the book, yes, but it is never said which color the suit is. I think it should be dark grey or something dark, but I only have 1 black suit (used in the first vig here)... :-$ Actually, bugs are my current project ;-) LuxorV

Just one question before you start the contest. We have to build a mech that is inspired to an EB member (ourselves or others), right? So, must it be shaped like an EB member (like the Robo-Hinckley), or can it be a bigger mech that matches the EB member sigfig general appearance, but can be a bit diferent (like Hinckley Special itself) 8-| ? I know it may be a stupid question :-| , but I have designed a mech built in the second way, and I want to know if I can post it, or I have to change my project. Thanks :-$ LuxorV

Well, since I posted only one pic, I think it is useless to say it is the pic I chose for the poll :-$ Good luck everybody ;-) LuxorV

At the Restaurant at the End of the Universe, you can choose your dinner: there's a strange talking animal who wants to be eaten, and says that. Arthur and Trillian are a bit shocked by this... From: Restaurant at the End of the Universe - D. Adams More pics. The scene should include Ford and Zaphod, but I had some puzzlement about how to make a two-headed, three-armed Zaphod :-/ , so they don't appear in this vig. Anybody did it 8-| ? LuxorV

Another great setting, Hinckley *y* Nice exterior, very deatiled. I got the same feeling as Asuka and Sinner: it's very 70s styled. And it would look nice next to the Ciy Plan buildings, imo. Thanks for sharing these creations. LuxorV

Thanks for this guided tour to your fantastic tree-house! I always loved the look of it, and knowing it is so detailed I *wub* it even more. Just one question: how many steps do you climb daily? 8-| :-P Waiting for the review of the insides... LuxorV

Another great work, guys *y* Nice pics, too :-P If you keep improving this way, we'll see you soon in a live interview 8-| ? Just realizes what has written --- Runs away *sing* ;-) Keep up the good work *y* LuxorV

I worked hard during the week-end to produce a small ammount of SST weapons. They are all based on descriptions from the book. First, a scene of the first battle: Johnny Rico vs 2 Skinnies. Johnny is using the flame-thrower connected to his big sonic(?) blade More pics here. Here, owr hero is targeting the spaceport and the ship with the A-missil launcher. I may have made it a bit too bulky 8-| Detail of the back-mounted Y-launcher for the HE bombs More weaponry pics here. Now, let's get into space with everybody's favourite space ship: the Rodger Young It is based on the movie version, but I added the launching tubes in the nose, that are used to drop the infantry pods. More pics. You can find it in the Space section of LEGO.com Factory (when moderated). Next issue will be about Bugs, if I can find a non-horrible way to build them 8-| . Comments welcome :-$ LuxorV

Oh, sorry 8-| , I meant some big mech, perhaps inspired to some anime or similar. Or even a composite mech, made of 5 or 6 independent parts (veichles, common use objects, ...) *wacko* LuxorV

Great MOC *y* *y* Clever use of the bionicle joints for the hips, and smart use of the inner wedge to support the body on the wheels *wub* Obscure Anime inspirations ON *y* LuxorV

Oh, well, I just got inspired by *yoda* ... X-D I'll make sure to taste it, if I happen to pass by ;-) . Canada is one of the countries where I've never been |-/ :'-( LuxorV

Good work both *y* , and congrats to Hinckley! We'll be waiting for match #3 :-P , maybe you could try a mech-building Smackdown 8-| ? LuxorV
