As others said, it's not time to be sad yet. A friend of mine 'lost' his cat for half a week (and how upset he was!), and then, one evening as he was getting back home, he found her by the door, waiting to enter. They just do this. I'm quite sure she'll be back in a couple of days . LuxorV

Just type 'Alien', 'Xenomorph' or 'predator' in BS's search. I got lots of interesting results LuxorV

I should delate that old .gif version. If you go in the request folder, you'll find this .png (300 dpi) version: Try this now, and you should be able to resize it all right (at least, I had no problems with this version) Always make sure to take the .png version of my decals, if you mean to use any of them. The older .gif or .jpg versions are there only because I'm too lazy to search and change all the old links in previous threads . LuxorV

Sorry for being late in replying here . I usually do this (Note: this 'tutorial' is based on experience with my own decals and some decals from other makers on the net. It should work with every decal you can find on the net, but you may encounter special cases to which it doesn't apply): save the image as ... (file name) [you can use the right click option, or the small disk icon that should appear in the upper left corner of the image after a while your pointer is on it], then open a word .doc, add the image to the .doc, and print it. If it is still too big (or small, but that isn't the problem, usually) you can double click on the image in the .doc, to open the Image Properties window. Then you must select the Dimensions label, and set (keeping Proportions locked for both Height and Width, so that you do not deform the image), a Width of 15.5 millimeters (that's a normal MF's torso width). Hope this helps . LuxorV

So my postcard smelled funny, eh ? I just forgot it on the table near a net of onions for one night Let's go on. Nice interview, with our wizard of the alphabet. Thanks for taking the time to give such good answers, Athos And thanks to imperialshadows (growing older) and Stauder for taking up this interviews job again . I missed these threads LuxorV

First of all: don't be too humble. You're a great mech builder, imo, and you can be proud of it . I think the legs and arms came out very well. You covered the joins and kept high mobility, and those two features are always difficult to combine in a well balanced mech. The legs look maybe a bit thin, compared to the torso. But, to a carful observer, they show their great strength. Those hip covers seem to lock together when in the upright position, granting high stability. Yet, they have great mobility. The feet (a part I always spend a lot of time and efforts in my mecha) are well designed for stability: they're large and have front and back projections for extra stability. The arms are well balanced, and the shoulder hollows grant again high mobility. Being a mech-with-hands lover, I find those arms a bit clumsy, but they're perfectly fitted for the work this mech is supposed to do . And the left arm has a useful pincer-like feature (I don't know if it's an effective pincer, or just a cover for the mining laser I now see, by the way it's holding you, it is an effective pincer ). The main body (always a difficult part to build, even if it may seem the simplest) is very well done, with the cockpit copying Iamded's helmet, and the windscreen as visor . Moreover, it really has that RR feel to itself. Lastly, if this mech isn't unique, I don't know whatever mech can . LuxorV

Fortunately, I was too young to care about it when I last built my old service station... I may try to rebuild it now, though, and to upgrade it to current standars . Without actual fuel, in any case. LuxorV

Well, thanks Yes, the grey (dark bley) and black one is my fav, too . I found the 7900 on clearance sale in a toy shop during a short vacation in a small town quite distant from my town. I thought of getting 1 or 2 to sell on the net, but, being this an old set, and not having an e-bay or BL seller account, I decided not to... Thanks for the feedback. Indeed, an eclosed loading area would be nice. Unfortunately, I don't have the right pieces avialable at the moment... But I made a LDD version of it, so I'll try to create an updated worker's version someday . LuxorV

Happy B-day, Iamded ! Have fun with your LEGO, eat lots of cakes (just don't exagerate, though ) and add a nice birthday bow to your mech arm . LuxorV

This is a great mech, BatBrick . It really has the RR feel to itself. And the grey left arm is a very nice touch to match Iamded's sigfig. You were really kind to built such a beautiful present for Iamded . LuxorV

Fabuland Alternate Creation of 3683 Amusement Park
LuxorV replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Nice idea and nicely done, WhiteFang . A great use of the pieces, expecially the whatever-you-call-it seater piece for a table. On a side note, it must be quite difficult to kick a flat square ball in goal LuxorV -
V-LV-3E Last Saturday, while watching my Jurassic Park III DVD, I got inspired to build some kind of adventure Jeep. On the other hand, my current passion for the Speed Racer line influenced the size. Later this week, I built also a more purely town-oriented version for my workers. Most of the pieces, and the driver himself, come from my newly acquired (at 50% sale) 7900 Special Transport Truck . Here you can see them side by side: The adventure version: And the workers' version: Pics are links to the galleries (when public). Feedbacks appreciated. LuxorV

Really nice racer, Stauder I confess I must learn more on the subject before I can try myself at these. Btw, this consideration leads me to: Which king are you talking about ? Is it The King? [all Adam's readers should get this ] LuxorV

Great job, Grimer. I really it! LuxorV

LuxorV replied to Hinckley's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
That river is called Tevere in Italian And Tiberium was the name of the Roman Emperor during Pilate's government on Judaea [the tiberium seems also to be a temple dedicated to the same Emperor (by Pliate himself ?)]. LuxorV -
Thanks . I was wondering if I could get a reply before hitting the 100 views... Yes, that's my second fav, just after the Zed suit (last one). And they make useful figs for Sports too, imo. LuxorV
