Very interesting news, darthperson. Thanks for carring this to our attention As I said eslsewhere, I'm expecting to see most of the vehicles in the Indiana Jones videogame turned into actual bricks next year. And to know the Flying Wing will be one of them (which I was quite sure would have happened) is a really nice confirmation. Can't wait to see what the other sets will be (maybe a desert tank set from the Last Crusade?). Guess we'll have to wait for another 3 or 4 month, though. LuxorV

So, after a long time, I'm back to mecha-building again. As the title says, I made a promise long months ago. I promised BatBrick I would have tried building a non-bipedal mech. Now, after many other projects and a long reflection about the design and techniques, here it is: the MetaMantis. Basicaly, it's a big self-aware mech in the form of a metal mantis I know it has some flaws, like the color scheme (a bit eclectic) and the joins (which are mostly in full view). But everything has its reason: the color scheme was imposed by my pieces availability, and I like the joins to be visibli because this way it looks more insectile-like to me. This does not cover all its flaws, I know. I'll be waiting for your comments to discuss the rest with you Here is the gallery (when public). LuxorV

These seem very interesting ideas. But I think they should be posted here, instead; or even better here, for the city ones LuxorV

Maybe it's time to stop this 'What should I get' (and similar) Threads . As I look in the Community, I see at least 5 of them in the first page. And they seem 5 too many to me . If you really can't decide on your own, you can always use the old proven methot of flipping a coin LuxorV

Oh, then you can browse here. I made some suits and stuff some time ago; maybe you'll find something useful . LuxorV

You're welcome, people And thanks for posting pics of the applied decal, JimButcher Personally, I print the decals (in Word) on the adhesive part of a piece of white post-it paper. This way, it's ready to be applied without need of further work. On the other and, as for other white papers, it gives an opaque result, which isn't very good when working with the darker colors. Other (more expert) customizers use special decal papers (either clear or white), which can be applied with water (they're called water-slide decals). You may want to ask Hinckley (or some other) for further info on this. LuxorV

LIBRARY: Pirate Torso/Decal/Sticker Designs
LuxorV replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks Woody64! Your hepl is greatly appreciated And, as I expected, you're already accustomed to how this library works. That simplifies my work a lot I'll add your decals with the next update . LuxorV -
If I read your post right, Kowakian Monkey-Lizard, I get you'd like a more real-looking torso ? Now, since the TLG's original one is the only actual female Islander's torso we have, could you please post a reference pic of what you'd prefer? Thanks LuxorV

LIBRARY: Pirate Torso/Decal/Sticker Designs
LuxorV replied to Bonaparte's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Hi all Pirate fans, I'm now in charge of the Great Pirate Torso Library, and I just made an update with all the Pirate-related decals you posted in this thread (at least, I hope I did not miss any ). Moreover, as you probably know, Bonaparte already fixed all the broken links (well, we still have 2 missing decals, but we're working on it ). Now, to bring the Library really up-to-date with all the Pirate stuff of this last year, I need your help! Since many decal threads have been created both here in the Minifig Customization Workshop and in the Pirate Forum, I need you Authors to post here, or even better PM me, the links to your creations. Once I have them all (ok, that's virtually impossible ), say in a couple of weeks from today, I'll make a new update. After that, please post your new creations here, or send me a PM with a link to them (if you prefer to post in the Pirate Forum). Future updates will be made monthly (or when I have a reasonable number of decals to add ). I hope I said all that needed be said . Thanks for your help LuxorV -
Hi there, I'm glad you appreciate our work so much As for your requests, you could both start by looking in the Great Pirate Torso Library. There you'll find lots of Pirate related stuff (like the female Islander's torso and lots of French soldiers). [i'm told an update is imminent, so make sure to check again in the next few days ]. Please let me know if you still need the decals done. Of course, I'll work on the Islander's legs (that are not there) and on the Scarlet Pimpernel (who certainly is not there ). LuxorV

I answered your question here. I'll see what I can do with the requests. Expect them to be ready next week LuxorV

You don't have to copy it, but to save it on your PC and then add it to a, say, word .doc. They're already in the right size (length 15.5 millimeters), but they're 600 dpi. So, if you just copy and paste, they come out too big. This should solve your problem LuxorV

Very nice work, TheBricker I like those shoulders, and the two different hands, too! I really should get back to mech building, one of these days LuxorV
-
Well, you're already working to expand it, right? So, keep it up ...and don't forget to show us what you come up with next LuxorV

You've all the right to like your work: it's really well done (expecially if you consider it's a first try ) As for Johnny Thunder's skin, in your reference pic it looks like a white shirt under the green robe. Since I don't own that torso, I don't know if it should be yellow or not. If you want, I can recolor that part in yellow You're welcome (and thanks for sparing me to do the explanation ). I'll be waiting to see the vig LuxorV
