  1. WHAT HAVE I DONE !?!? Sorry, poor old world, I didn't want to unleash this Have fun, guys LuxorV
  2. Great job, Brainbox Nice to see Uplink as hands too, now. I the minigun, and the blowtorch is a nice addition. You really studied Ryo's character, and built the AS Uplink around him. LuxorV
  3. I'm glad you all like them . You know, with this Fabuland Revolution, and my, short, experience as a decal designer, I felt Fabuland minifigs needed that little something that could personalize them a bit more . I just keep using my foreteller's abilities now and then . I'll be waiting to see your Fabuland decals in the near future, then . LuxorV
  4. Great job with the thumbnails, imperialshadows I just added a new FBG thread, this one. It's in the Minifig Customization Workshop, so I don't know if it will be added to this index or it should fit the Customization Index, but you may want to give it a try . LuxorV
  5. Hi all you decals and Fabuland lovers, today I'm here to present you my latest effort for the Fabuland Builder's Guild, even if it doesn't include actual bricks (for now). As the title says, I made a few Fabuland decals , since I feel those cute Fabuland minifigs may need something special to wear for special (or even everyday) occasions. Let's start with the first decal. Our model was, of course (just see below), Copmike. I felt a strong and charming policeman neede something more than a badge on his cap : The second model, studied to fit Sinner (hence the brown skin), is a gentleman suit for, say, a dinner with Colette, or a night at the theatre, or something : I think our walrus will look great with this . And here is a little gift for all the great EB decal makers: the Fabuland template, with both front and rear sides of the Fabuland minifig torso. Enjoy. As you should know, the rear is longer than the front, due to the space needed for the legs rotation. [Note: this is a .png image in 300 dpi resolution.] I haven't tried any of these, yet. So, please make me know what you think of them, and if anything needs to be changed in the proportions . LuxorV
  6. Thanks . I think I can say I finally found a use for those poor so-much-disliked KKII knights . Thanks, Hinckley . I tried to mix a bit of the look of real racing suits (after a long [10 minutes] research on Google Images) with the old good style of generic toon racers. I'm glad you like it so much . As for the sponsor logos, I indeed thought of adding them, but they would have been too small, and hardly readable; and, more important, they would have degraded my clean design (like the sponsored suits in the Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer movie) . I love clear and as simple as possible designs . LuxorV
  7. Nice idea . Too bad I won't be able to partecipate, since I'll be very busy for about one month after the first half of May . LuxorV
  8. I usually paste them in a word .doc, and then print them, and they're just fine (maybe they need a little shortening of <0,5 mm on the sides).aYou just make sure to rpint them (whatever way you do it) so that the base of the torso decal is 15.5 mm in width. Let me know how it works for you. LuxorV
  9. No, you are not in Hinckley's thread . This time is my creation. As I said there, I was already working on a custom motocross racer fig when Hinckley posted his. Now, my work is finished, and I'm showing you what I came up with. It's quite different form our King of the Faburealms racer, and I hope you'll enjoy him as well . Here he is, in all his splendor: I used the KK fig as a base, since he has a nice plain torso. The head is from the Nazi in Indy's Motorcycle Chase, and the hairs are from CloneWars Anakin. A pic of the back decal: And an in-action shot: Gallery here. I'm currently working on a set of decals in other color schemes, and I'll probably upload them next week. Comments and constructive criticisms are welcome. LuxorV
  10. Great review, Dragonator and Iamded I just the Sci-Fi Weapons Pack. They're so great in silver! LuxorV
  11. Great job so far, imperialshadows . Can't wait to see the thumbnails. Maybe you should want to add this site (there's both in ITA and ENG versions) to the Fabuland Info Guide. On a side note, I fear the Ancient Walrus - Sinner Special, being a mech, is not too suited for being part of this ? LuxorV
  12. Thanks Hinckley. I tried to update that great Fabuland old set, and, while doing that, to personilize some techniques I saw on BS and never used before. I'm really happy with the result. More Fabuland creations to come (in smaller scale, for now ), and... a surprise shuold be round the corner, if I can find the time to make some measurement . LuxorV
  13. Just joking. I don't want to be an enemy to anybody . LuxorV
  14. I never tried Steampunk myself (though I'm planning to explore this style someday), but, as others said, I see it more as a free, creative, all-but-restrictive style. Making an official theme out of it would sterotype it. And, like the already mentioned Time Cruisers, it wouldn't sell well. In my view, it would only fit as one UCS set or so, like the VW Beetle. On the Time Cruisers theme: I think they were a bit too random. They could have worked better with less harlequin-esque colors. Ok, it was a good way to get a lot of parts from multiple themes all in one set, but I think they exceded in this eclecticity. LuxorV
  15. Hey, you missed the final V ! That's definetly me you're speaking about! LuxorV
  16. Considering I don't own any (money issues here ), I don't know how much based on sheer design (instead of playability) my preferance is. Nevertheless, for what I've seen (net pics and building instructions), I the Batwing! LuxorV
  17. Happy B-day, DoubleT ! LuxorV
  18. I subscirbe to this. I was just thinking we'd need, at least, a Fabuland MOCs Index; and maybe (just maybe) some reviews of Fabuland sets could be interesting . LuxorV
  19. This may take some time in trying the best solutions, expecially for the bent parts. I think they'll be ready in one week or so . LuxorV
  20. Thanks all for your comments. And thanks for the tag, Hinckley! It would seem I'll need to refine my cartoonish/Fabulandish skills. Too much IRL work on the small details seems to affect my building style . Thanks for pointing this out . LuxorV
  21. Very nice, Exobuilder. Copmike seems to be really enjoying this relaxing situations... apparently: the head (is that Colette? Sinner will be very upset ) on the mast reveals his true nature, as the stuffed frog (I belive it's the same one from the park) does . Btw, nice to see those pink additions, like the flowers and the book LuxorV

    Cabriolet

Thanks all for your comments Yes, the vertical position looked a bit too... blockey, to me . I'd love to see them in LEGo sets, too. Indeed, I was a bit surprised when I saw that Speed Racer cars were 8-wild. But I belive it's due to the complexity of the original design: they needed more width to add details. The rear looks indeed a bit too long, but it is just as long as the front (their bases are like 2 symmetrical blocks mounted on the middle section); only it doesn't have the windscreen to cover 2 studs and make it look shorter . LuxorV
  23. I had the feeling I was missing something . - note to self: never belive what Hinckley says - LuxorV
  24. I just re-installed Tomb Raider 5: Chronicles. My fav TR game, expecially the final levels in VonCroy's tower . LuxorV
  25. LuxorV

    Cabriolet

Thanks . That'd be a good idea. Unfortunately, they wouldn't fit due to the position of the steering wheel and front pad . LuxorV
