  1. I posted this on the UK Sales thread, but my local John Lewis in the UK had them out on the shelves today.
  2. My local John Lewis had CMF series 7 out on the shelves today.
  3. If they redesigned and released new versions of the UCS models, does that mean we'd have to retrospectively rename the original series the Penultimate Collector's Series?

    Farewell

Best of luck, Kim. Thanks for making this place what it is!
  5. I agree. Although I really don't like the werewolf. I much prefer the CMF version.
  6. We would say that is an activity book in the UK as well. I'd love to see a regular LEGO magazine for kids though, with little freebies like minifigs. I don't mind the same price point as the books, but could have features and comics from different themes. I was in WHSmith in the UK today and looking at the children's magazines, I saw this Playmobil mag with a free figure. Something like this for LEGO would be amazing.
  7. This post shows two different suits and two different hand jets too, so you are both right.
  8. I hadn't got round to clicking it yet, but that post kind of makes me want to click it even less.
  9. I was under the impression that the bowler hat was going to be black from earlier prelims. Seems it is light bley now. I really wanted a black bowler hat!
  10. Yep, at half the price this would be a great set.
  11. Whilst you are correct in reference to Shelley's work, I would however suggest that it is okay to refer to the monster as 'Frankenstein' as it serves as a metanym in modern parlance.
  12. Great review. I'm not a Ninjago collector, but I bought this for the lovely parts today. Just thought that I'd point out that you built it incorrectly though! As per the instructions, only one of the round 1x1 trans-green plates should be used to elevate only one of the trans-green antennae, so that one hangs down further than the other. The other is a spare. It doesn't really matter at all, but thought I'd be pedantic!
  13. Yep, I'd love to see some of these little 'classic movie moments' vignettes in this style again.
  14. I must say, I'm surprised that they were the choices. The Mummy? Really? I'd become sick of that one as I seemed to get loads of it.
  15. Box image from Brickset:
  16. Superman v. Lex Luthor Power Armor Batwing Battle Over Gotham Catwoman Catcycle City Chase Batmobile and Two Face Chase Batcave They also have new Dino and Star Wars sets on there.
  17. Over on Brickset, there are reports of Super Heroes sets at TRU Watford in the UK today and on Amazon (UK), but you have to really search for them on Amazon to find them.
  18. Yeh, but none of Lego's colour schemes are accurate anyway.
  19. I like the 1x1 tile with red stripe that is added to the 1x4 with 5 red stripes to make Jek's Red Six. Depending on how easy it is to get hold of the 1x1s, we can build some other Red Squadron X-Wings.
  20. Picked up the three planet sets today. Nice little display pieces. I think I might put the planets on the Christmas tree next year - ready made Star Wars baubles!
  21. Endor Battle Pack and Droid Escape today. Think I may go back tomorrow and pick up either the X-Wing or the TIE.
  22. Although the ones drinking from goblets won't do anything for the perceived image that the public sector are pampered, privileged lay-abouts.
  23. Just seen this. Wow! http://www.toxel.com/inspiration/2011/12/14/tattooed-legos/
  24. I'm not 'worried' about frequency. I don't mind doubles, as I use the parts. However, even if you do feel the packs, knowing the frequency might help you anyway.
  25. Just popped to Toys R Us (UK) and picked up 10 bags. Got 3 Mechanics, 2 Cowboys, 1 Surgeon, 1 Lady Liberty, 1 Butcher, 1 Space Girl and 1 Flamenco Dancer. That might give us some idea of frequency.
