That's nice for your first attempt on Lego, Just_a_man! Nice use of the flex tube, and the overall look is pretty good. The feeling of a Steampunk creation is also sensible. It's off-topic, but have you any idea what kind of sets you are going to buy in the near future, or just second-hand boxes of random Lego?

Am I the only one liking this built? Okay, it's not the best X-wing there is, but it could be way worse than this. Some nice use of SNOT, cool engines and the nose is not that bad, right? Oh well, so much people, so much opinions.

Very nice. You captured the feel of a Steampunk vehicle really well, the smoke is nice indeed.

MOC: Trapped In The Trash Compactor (complete)
Hollander replied to M<0><0<DSWIM's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is a beautiful creation; especially the figures you've made (but that's obvious). Both the Stormtrooper suits, Leia and Chewbacca. I also like the piece you used for the guys' noses. And Leia is a smart girl too; without her nose she doesn't have to smell Chewie as he exposes her with his armpit. -
What a lovely X-wing, one of the best I've ever seen. The nose could be a little sleeker, although I do like the somehwat bulky look it has now.

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Hollander replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A third leg on R2-D2 or any other astromech droid would lack it's playability, as a leg in the middle wouldn't fit the studs. -
Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26

Awesome! The way you used those tiles is so great! -
Thanks for sharing the pictures Wayne Dupree. I always want to know how the bags of a set look before I buy it.

A block of cheese.. It's because we're Dutch huh?!

[MOC] Mission 10.1 - Geonosis: a Sandbox from Hell
Hollander replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
This is just lovely! The ARC-170 is just perfect. The dual cannons at the back, the windscreens.. awesome. By the way; have you thought about using a 1x2 dark green tile instead of the white one? -
REVIEW: 7962 Anakin's & Sebulba's Podracers
Hollander replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the review! According to the poll, it seems like that there is a group of people loving this set, while others don't like it at all. I've mixed feelings about it myself. Since TPM was the first SW-movie I've ever seen, (on TV, while I'd get Luke's Landspeeder as I present, still remember how I was wondering what the chrome lightsaber was ) it is kind of nostalgic for me. However, after I became more familair with the OT movies, they were my favorite. When I now watch TPM, I hate how little Anakin is making stupid comments and being the hero. But I wander too much away from the topic. The set itself is not bad, but I'd rather spend my money on the Republic Cruiser or Millenium Falcon. Both the podracers may be cool to look at, but I buy most of the SW sets for the figures and parts anyway. -
Just ordered the Battle for Geonosis and the Geonosian fighter. I'll finally get my hands on the lovely captain Rex and commander Cody, never had any special clones like those, with blue and yellow torso's, and all the gear coming with 'em.

Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter ("medium-sized")
Hollander replied to Legostein's topic in LEGO Star Wars
And another fantastic alternate-build by Legostein ! You might try to make another Starfighter, but smaller, and using the other windscreen showed on the box. The 2x2 slope I mean. Or maybe that's a bad idea; you're the expert. -
Thanks for the review! $50 is a little overpriced, even though there are 8 minfigs are included, including two special ones. 266 is not that bad, but a couple more pieces would be better. No idea if this will be available in my country, if it is, and won't cost more than 45 euro's, I might get it. This review certainly helped improving my opinion on this set.

What a cuty! For only 1 pound I would pick tens of them, and build a frog army.
-
A cool speeder Plissken. A pretty bulky look and although the windscreen is a little too wide, I think it looks cool.
-
That's a nice TIE-fighter you have there! I like both the wings as the cockpit, and the windscreen piece placed inwards.

Pretty cool set, my first SW set since the dark ages, together with the clone BP. It's not that special, as we have already seen plenty of similar Starfighters, but it's still a nice set; even though blue isn't that unique, all the wedge plates are useful. And the minifigs are good enough for me too, we haven't seen that astromech droid before I guess.

Sometimes inspiration finds unexpected ways...

A neat alternative build, Legostein. -
I know alot of people want more minifigs in the SW sets, but how realistic is it? TLG would never put so many figures in a set as a lot of people here want. I know, I would like it too, but TLG just won't do it.

MOC: Eurasian Tree Sparrow ้บป้ (LEGO)
Hollander replied to Schfio factory's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Amazing work! Lovely little Sparrows. Never seen anything like it before. I have a question though; is it correct that one of the sparrows can move his wings? -
Nice bridge update, the distance between the two studs on top is even better than using a 1x3 plate.
-
Thanks for the review dcflake. However, I don't like this set. I don't like it at all. It's just too pricy for a bunch of gray plates and bricks. Neither I like the use of both bley and dark bley as greebles, and the bottom is a total shame. Sorry TLG, you might have a awesome customer service and all, and thanks for the missing part I received today, but you guys just failed this time. No problem; I think most of the SW UCS sets are great, and I'm convinced we'll see alot of great sets in the future.

Pretty cool Madi. It indeed has some kind of steampunk look, very cool. Nice use of the tires as well.
