Even as a non-alternate model this would be great. Just outstanding work. I wonder if we are gonna see even more alternate builds.

I like this. Simple but pretty accurate. If I would have to give some constructive criticism, I would say that the legs should be a little longer OR or the body somewhat smaller. That would fit the dimensions better I think. Oh, and congratulations on your 3000th post.

This is great. Both Cody and Rex as the battle droids. Not to mention the posing and blasters rifles. I'm wondering though, shouldn't the back piece of the battle droid be a little shorter?

Pretty cool stuff. I like the functionality of the vehicle. And it instantly remembers me of the mining theme. However, if I was you, I would try to make a somewhat larger and brick built trunk. It would increase the looks of your vehicle IMO.

Really nice! Detailed and the stud/tile ratio is perfect IMO.

After I received a PM of a certain member (I'm a little busy, I'll reply on your PM tonight ) who gave some constructive criticism, I decided that I will improve the current version with more details and some other changes. No plans on building this in real. I think I have the right amount of bley and dark bley pieces, but I would have to order specific parts, like the two big white pieces on front of the engies, to eventually complete a build like this.

Thanks 'M<0><0<DSWIM' ! I estimate it took me about 10-12 hours to build. I was actually just screwing somewhat around with the cockpit when I decided to add the rest of the ship. Do you mean it will be too big to swoosh around with, or that this thing in ''real'' would be too big to be a fighter? If it's the second than you're right, the Y-wing is mainly used as a bomber. I thought the sandgreen color would be a nice alternative for the yellow normally used, but I also wanted to post another picture of the back, so I'll change the green with the yellow. I think it will look better anyway.

It took some hours to build, but I was pretty satisfied with the result. And some pics without the trans purple bricks used as beams coming from the engines.

I can only confirm what other members told you; the base idea is nice, but you really have to shape this thing to make it look like a real lightsaber. Good luck!

I wanted to do a micro, mini or maybe even a midi Y-wing, but after some scratch builds it turns out that it well become UCS. Oh well, my homework was done anyway. By the way; I don't know if it's allowed to discuss this here, but I don't want to use the classic white-yellow color scheme for the Y-wing. White will still be the base color, but I want to replace the yellow with dark red or sand green or something. Any suggestions?

Count me in; I will work on a LDD Y-wing.
