  1. A lot to like here, the differnt colors of stone, the stone head and the crystal works very well as a hat. Keep it up!
  2. Very fairytale like! I like how you did the roof above the upper window
  3. Very nice and lively. I like that you've kept a dirt path besides the green so you can see were the wheels went.
  4. Nice interior, I really like the tree!
  5. I already saw this on flickr and I live the somehow lively and creepy feeling of this!
  6. Just what I thought! I like how well integrated the scorpion body is in the fortress. And nice to see Vladek again since his absence
  7. Nice job, I agree this is one of your best! Good stonework and well made gates As a side note, you admit that it's small for a stronghold. So why do you call it a stronghold, outpost would have been better and more believable
  8. Thanks for the welcome guys! Well, not that it will do you any good, but free donations are always welcome
  9. Very nice, the ruin feeling is indeed excellent. Also nice staircase!
  10. Thanks guys! To be honest I'm was pleased with how it turned out, except for the sign. I couldn't get the S right fast enough so I just decided to let a minifig repair it
  11. Great trees, the could be greener but well done! Also nice job on the roof, keep it up!
  12. Very nice idea! The sure grow up fast
  13. I'll keep that in mind My girlfriend is ok with all the Lego, but she hates it when I'm going to conventions.
  14. Indeed and although I'm not yet really convinced of the use of this topic personally as it's (also) going to be a moc index which already exists. But here's the first one from Mitgardia:
  15. I assume kabel was talking about Mitgardia/GoH, were he didn't miss that much; welcome back! And the tongue is a bit misplaced as Z was absolutely right about pointing out how to use the different threads! So take that more serious.
  16. Very creative! I also like the shield design a lot.
  17. @ Infernum: Someone is collecting the tags Book II in the making!
  18. Welcome to Mitgardia If you are new and want to join the fun here, you just think of a character/sigfig for yourself and start building. For a signup example you can look at the members overview section. Don't forget to put in our green and yellow in your mocs, the fierce Mitgardian colors! If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. To get an impression of Mitgardia just read along. Section One: Guilds of Historica Background The bard’s song tells a tale of a world long forgotten, Race against race, clan against clan, shields clashed with swords; long ago when Men of the Lion fought Men of the Falcon, and human armies succumbed to Orcs and undead. Each group clashed with its neighbor for power, unleashing upon the world a great scourge, and the arcane land was thrown into chaos. When it all seemed but lost, a council of wise men and sages was summoned. From all the lands they came to convene in the old world’s great city; the fortress of Cedrica. To settle the grievance and end a millennium of bloodshed, the sages declined all the treaties of old and joined all the clans into one mighty Kingdom; Historica. They founded the Four Great Regions- each one a realm in itself; - Mitgardia in the North, Nocturnus in the East, Kaliphlin in the South and Avalonia in the West, so that trade routes would spring up and clans would meet in the markets and not in the theatre of war. The wise men chose a family of great honor, to uphold the truce and to keep the four guilds from dispute. All is not as it once was. The Black Mage, Victor Revolword, unleashed a new scourge on Historica, taking Cedrica as his own. Though a united Histrocia defeated Revolword’s elemental monsters, the King of Cedrica is missing and the Guilds of Historica have been thrown into chaos. With the wise King’s absence, each guild believes it would be best suited to rule all of Historica, internal struggles have brought each realm to the brink of civil war! This is where the next chapter begins. The battle to take Cedrica from the Black Mage has ended, but the battle for your own guild has begun! Section Two: Guild Background and Theme Mitgardia: Frigid Wonderland Landscape: From the Frozen Beyond with it's secrets to the vast snowy lands of various clans. Were the clan territory ends the terrain starts with large pine forests and the heavenly mountains. When passed the mountains you'll find the tundra's and finally there's the Demon's Ridge. That's Mitgardia. No one knows what lies in the Frozen Beyond, not many dare to go there. It his home to fierce creatures like ice dragons and blizzard wolfs, whom haven't crossed the Ebar stream for centuries which connects the Frozen Beyond to the Clan Lands. The Clan Lands are home to various tribes. The conditions are extremely harsh as there's snow whole year long, here real men are made. At the age of 12 boys are send into the cold by pairs, to make it on their own a whole year long to return as men. Even southern cities send their boys to the clans to learn the ways of the clans. South of the Clan Lands majestic mountains appear. The Heavenly Mountains, surrounded by pine forests these mountains are home to grand cities like Omurtag. These mountains are also Mitgardia's economical heart, because they contain iron, gold, coal and other treasures. Past the mountains you'll find the tundra, which holds plains and forests. These lands are Mitgardia's agricultural center and it's home to most of Mitgardia's inhabitants as it also contains Valholl, the capital. In the summer the tempertures can even go up as high as the ones they are used to in Kaliphlin, because of warm winds from Nocturnus´ vulcanoes. Most south lays the Demon's Ridge. A natural barrier to keep unwanted guest out of Mitgardia. With its steep mountains, combined with the cold, you don't want to go trough them without a guide. Standard: The Green and Yellow are the colors that's combining all Mitgardians. Economy: Giant mines with Historica's best treasures and of course Ale are Mitgardia's most important economical resources. Section Three: Recent Guild History Altough Victor´s forces could be stopped at the gates of Valholl, the Elemental Monsters unleashed destruction throughout whole Mitgardia. Leaving cities and villages in ruins, cities like Ondylion were burned to the ground. So it is time for rebuilding the realm. Not only cities, but also families as the cost of men was enormous. With the Jarl still missing, Elon Chorian is trying everything in his power to keep Mitgardia united. With rumours of Evil powers at work in Nocturnus and plunderers in the realm it will be a task almost impossible... Section Four: Guild Leader Core Leader: Ecclesiastes, this is the member who you go to for changes to the thread, member disputes and game question from Mitgardia. Guild Leaders: These are the characters who lead the factions for story purposes. Mitgardian Faction- Elon Chorian (Ecclesiastes) Elon Chorian's advisors: Steen Larsson (kabel) Sir Glorfindel (soccerkid6) Section Five: Current Guild Challenges. 19. Very nice torso's but this thread fits better in the Minifig Customisation Workshop
  20. As said on flickr, that donkey:
  21. Build for a western contest from my Lug. Unfortunately you can only submit three photo's. The soldiers don't like it if someone is helping the indians. That someone will be treated as a traitor, so that's why they're bringing this poor guy to the sheriff. But his friends didn't forget about him...
  22. Great roof and stonework, it's in need of some minifigs though
  23. Me too! But cool stuff, I like your waterfall and the bridge is neat!
  24. And that one too ofcourse! Not sure, I like to make things modular but I don't think I have time to do that. And it is indeed really hard to move. Normally I build on baseplates so you have a one piece base. But it will be connected to other castles/villages from my lug so they decided to build it on plates... Good to hear you'll be there again as well! I already changed it, normally I use black in the first place and as Buurli said it doesn't look that bad in daylight. I didn't notice my mistake untill the flash from my camera revealed the color difference. Yours is looking fine, especially because most medieval armies didn't look exactly the same. Although I like a standard uniform:
