  1. I like this set. But the boom looks imcomplete, and the wires showing from the PF are off putting.
  2. I like it more with wheels if I'm honest. It looks good, might have to pick this set up maybe and fit wheels instead, or see how I feel with the tracks when built. I do tend to find with Lego they look better once built then pics or box pics.
  3. Lego Technic set 8860 was one of my first and had a great box, trays, and overall better presentation then today's Lego Technic boxes.
  4. It is a pain, but I tend to use tupperware boxes (food containers) to organise all the parts and I put the lids on the boxes when I'm packing up , means you don't get moaned at if your working in the lunge to build your sets...
  5. Steering in 42068 is quite good, plenty of bits to build for what is one of the smaller technic sets. Must admit, expected something a little simpler myself.
  6. The BWE has dropped a lot recently, less then £130 UK price. Makes it a very attractive set to pick up now if anyone hasn't already got it. Set 42070 will drop as well, but even when it does, the colour scheme and model just doesn't grab me at all. Will pick this one up https://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Airport-Rescue-Vehicle-42068 As it has scope to add PF, which is always cool to add. My daughter prefers to play with the ones that have PF . Technic sets are more fun when you add PF
  7. https://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Extreme-Adventure-42069 UK price is £139 RRP.
  8. I think it looks better with wheels. Does seem odd they didn't include both options. That would have been pretty cool.
  9. Sadly this flagship set for 2017 just doesn't seem to stack up against the bucket wheel, which for a UK street price of now £128 in most stores is a real bargain and worth every single penny. Even the previous Acros Mercedes is a better deal. Shame, but it does seem this set is looking likely to be less popular and rather expensive for what it is... Wonder if the price will drop quickly due to this?
  10. Jerry is a slang for German, and jerry cans were I believe invented for german troops to refuel vehicles during the 2nd world war. Hence - Jerrycan. To everyone else, a can of fuel.. lol Oh - you beat me to it lol
  11. Rally car would be really nice. 4 wheel drive, gearbox, could be a really good set.
  12. Its the BMW set that is the most expensive, £80 ish for three sets to build a little anniversary go kart is a lot of money. Still I'm looking forward to lego technic 42068. Looks really cool. So might just spend my lego budget on this instead.
  13. My plan was to buy all 2017 Technic sets this year, but this one will be a miss, as I don't like the colour scheme, it looks a poor model and from the review I can instantly see its way overpriced for what is a very ugly IMO looking techinc model. Shame. I guess not all sets can be good, The Claas Xerion is such a superb technic set, I got two of them, as the set was just so good to build, and is still excellent value for money.
  14. Found it, wonder if you can buy all those parts from lego or something , I am 100% out of box builder.
  15. Didn't know about this until reading on here - https://www.lego.com/en-us/technic/40-years-anniversary I'll have to buy those sets again to allow me to build it, as once I build my technic sets, I tend to never break them up ; - ) but i love that go kart. Reminds me of my early technic sets from 1980 : - )
  16. I think this is truly amazing. Really impressive model.
