  1. Probably because of the leak.. Also, does the street sign point to potential future DA additions? It would make sense for Lego to expand the street with shops not previously included in the DA set. They have Madam Malkin’s, the Magical Menagerie and Sugarplum’s, none of which are in the DA as far as I know?
  2. That www really does not do it for me… the inside looks like a cheap moc and something my 10 year old could build. The only saving Grace could be if the potions and boxes were printed tiles, but this has ‘stickers’ written all over it. I realise they couldn’t replicate the DA version, but this is just bad
  3. I only just got a chance to catch up on the latest info and pictures. If I’m honest, the WWW looks, well… cheap. I’ll reserve jugement for when I see it in the flesh, but it just doesn’t do it for me (which I was really hoping it would).
  4. That BoH set looks huge! But what is the writing on those blue cards? Does it look like Chinese characters?… seriously though, that leak is far too blurry to make any real judgments from, so I’ll hold off until we get better pics. I just hope the insides of the buildings aren’t a let down
  5. So a random question for you all: what do you actually do with the sets you buy? I originally started collecting this theme for the minifigures, which I have on display in wall-mounted frames. But the sets just take up too much space and as much as I love them, I ended up boxing them away in crates. I by no means buy all the sets, but many of you seem to buy most of them, so was just curious as to what you do with them (especially the D2C, which are far too expensive to buy and not have on display as far as I’m concerned…)
  6. Would a recolour of the boxer’s headpiece not be a good representation of Ron’s quidditch headgear? I’m surprised that we’ve never had it in any set yet…
  7. My guess is that the bottom floor will indeed be the vaults on the inside but will look like the ground floor from the outside. I’d also assume the building will be over three floors, plus the large skylight at the top. out of curiosity, in the DA WWW, does the brick count that was quoted here include the nocturn alley side build? I ask as I’m curious if the brick count for WWW really is that different?
  8. Oh, could this be a subtle nod to future builds?! Hopefully
  9. Yes, this would certainly be a fan favourite. I’d personally quite like to see a more detailed ‘cupboard under the stairs’ or dumbledore’s office done like this. But I could see them using this for individual classrooms. I fully understand the price point argument with the base, although I feel that if the build is good enough then I’d definitely be keen for this style of sets.
  10. So, am I the only one crossing my fingers for Lego to start doing the Star Wars style dioramas for the HP theme?! What would be your choices?
  11. I very much doubt that they’ll be releasing any ‘expansions’ to the D2C DA. The builds are always evolving and I can’t see them adding anything to what is clearly a stand-alone set. Also, Lego will be quite aware that only limited number of people will have bought a €500 set, so bringing out an expansion to that would probably reduce the attraction for customers who don’t have DA. I’d personally not be surprised if both the Gringotts and this DA expansion were part of a new style/series. It would make business sense for Lego to release individual DA location sets that are affordable to more people, and then expand that concept over time (basically following the same logic as the hogwarts expansion sets)
  12. Great effort - this station is a glaring hole in the current HP lineup in my opinion and these (somewhat condensed) versions do it proud! I’d love something along the Goathland Station lines to become reality as it would be a day one buy from me!
  13. New polybag: I like it, we can finally builds a full ravenclaw team! it may not be fully identical but it looks like the same top as in the diagon alley set… a little lighter probably. Would be good to see the back too
  14. As someone who never bought the previous micro-scale castle, I have to say I like the idea of an affordable ‘complete’ Hogwarts castle and grounds. The previous iteration had some great things going for it, but for my money I always felt they tried to pack too many Easter eggs in it and that it ultimately affected the quality of the overall build (more so the interior than the exterior). If this version just focussed on the overall look, then I think o could be sold. The fact it would be relatively affordable is also a bonus. The deal clincher would be an exclusive minifigure to go with it… a guy can hope right?!
  15. Change of topic for a second - does anyone know if the burrow set is being retired? It is no longer coming up on the Lego Shop in France… I know they had it on -30% last week.
  16. Legend. Thanks @krimimimi
  17. Guys, I’ve tried trawling through all the pages but between the snippets of information and everyone’s wish lists, I’m still none the wiser as to the exact details that we actually know. Is this compiled anywhere? Thanks!
  18. This may well already have been answered but do we know what the contents of the next poly bag will be (set 30651)?
  19. That’s probably a more logical source for getting them. Either way, we live in hope.
  20. There’s still a chance that epilogue Ron and Hermione will be a GWP down the line (as these usually don’t coincide with the initial release date of the D2C sets). In which case the two random extra figures will be relatively nice ‘fillers’. Technically speaking, as they are based on the epilogue scene it is entirely normal that we don’t know their names. I haven’t looked back at the movies, but they may well appear on screen in the background (no doubt someone will check!), in which case, why not?.. in the end, if Ron and Hermione appear as GWP then it’ll no doubt boost sales if you can only get them with the Hogwarts Express set. After all, it’s all about the bottom line and I’d be surprised if these aspects hadn’t been considered.
  21. I mean, as a display set it looks great. Although I find it perplexing that at the price point they can’t give us more of the platform - as others have said, what are you supposed to do with this?! It’ll be a hard pass from me too as I have no idea how this would fit in with anything else I have… the epilogue minifigures are really well done (bar the generic students) but this is by no way enough to save this set. Good luck to Lego, I’m sure they’ll find a market for this..
  22. Well how big were we thinking?!
  23. Wow, really nice. Although I’m not actually sure how it fits in with any of the hogwarts versions?.. Almost looks more like a stand alone diorama
  24. Ah, ok! That’s cleared that up then. Thanks!
