Heroica RPG - Quest #147: Judgment Day
Siercon and Coral replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
Siercon looks over the clones... "It looks like that is significantly weaker than you ..." He said now pulling out svens dagger with more expectation. "With luck I may be able to fragile you all and seal this new addition..." Siercon attacks wing B with svens dagger (etherial opal) from the front row. Twice. Or switches to wing A if B is dead. OOC: I'm assuming I'm safe since the wing is blinded, or does that not count for enemy shields or retaliations? It would seem all of its options are physical attacks... -

" I don't care which wing I clip first." Siercon redirects his second attack to wing B (with the ethereal opal slotted in case of shield.) -

"his agility is frightening, I'll seek to clip his wings." Siercon throws a muddy bomb at wing A from the back row. If a second action and still uninjured, wing a from the back row with svens dagger OOC: if his wings are temporarily blinded, this means they aren't 'active' right? -

Siercon fastens on the crystow feather. And grips svens dagger and the ethereal opal. (Activly using only his defensive items) [feather, cloak, robe] "We would've expected nothing less... As the fallen former archangel of death... Perhaps you and your former master will be reunited. im sure he anxiously awaits to collect your soul. Actually, I think he's just outside these doors..." Siercon said waving behind the party -

"In my last vision he was at the end of a great stairway lined with torches, but no flowers. It was clearly in Eschaton but no where I've been before. And I have been to the judgement chamber. Where would you go to mentally prepare and slowly gather up power..." Looking at the parties two dragoons he asked, "Can you by chance mentally contact your dragons?" "Otherwise, I might agree, the memorial could be a good place to start." Siercon uses his compass looking for the direction of immortalis -

"Charon... Immortalis knows the future. He knowingly sent your girlfriend to her death. Did he tell you before hand? Did you agree? Well honestly, he's going to do the same to you and himself." Siercon said. -

Noticing Arthur's wrinkle Siercon relaxes a bit and tries to be less intrusive. "Sorry Arthur, I just don't trust portal masters... Especially this one." -

Siercon replied. "You have made yourself clear. You have threatened us with 'not stopping a mob' for it will endanger our friends lives. Mobs are hungry beasts and will tear themselves apart without food. Have you failed to perceive that your unconscious friends are their perfect food? The mob won't tear itself apart, not when you and these tasty morsels are here. This isn't a threat, or some devious plan of mine. Just realize if you don't stop the mob, and they hear you and two of your generals are here partially incapacitated... Our friends aren't in danger, the mob will be coming after us. And we'd only be in danger if we continue to protect what they want. And who can blame them. You and these here are seeking to exterminate them. What you call a mob, is an army coming to get you and your friends. Do what you like, were marching into your gates regardless." Siercon doesn't care for Charons ultimatum. -

Siercon makes a show of pondering what Charon just said... "Noo.... I don't think so... when that guy goes on to the after life he's gonna say 'Charon killed me' there really isn't any way to see it other than that you directly disobeyed Immortalis. He said 'don't kill', and you killed that guy." Siercon wondered if pointing out disobedience was more important to charons self evaluation than a murder he saw as mercy. Depending if vaermina can hear Siercon, he says this: Siercon started at this... "Hey wait a second... Charon here says 'maybe you can take me' while wounded at that.. But then assumes we'll help HIM!? Other than Immortalis Charon will be our biggest obstacle. I say if she can maybe take him, then with our help she definitely can! Then I suppose we can deal with her... Depending on her helpfulness. I say we team up with the lady and kick Charons but." Siercon looks at Charon, "Sorry Charon, nothing personal, just logic and wariness of you as a given future and formittable foe." OOC: Is there any way we can stop her leaving i.e. she heard me, or is it done... And we gotta move on? -

Siercon made no comment to the many conversations flying around him. But after awhile, he entered in in brief. "I understand many of us have differences, but still and in spite of this we must be going. Let us not relieve immortalis of his expressed fear that we might make it to him before his power is complete. Onward." Siercon said. -

"Indeed, I must apologize. I was incorrectly judging you. I thought you were bribing to personally keep the rest of the pile by tossing Karie these magnificent items." He said pointing to the helmet. "The very ones you now offer to Vindsval. I couldn't have been more wrong." He followed this with a sincere apologetic half bow. He then kicked a few rocks into some puddles keeping his head more 'down' than usual. -

"Thank you Karie." Siercon said putting on the robes. For a solid second, humiliated by what he had just said, Siercon wondered if he had Lind all wrong when Lind said "for the loot pile...". After a minute, still pretty sure he didn't, he motioned to say something, but halted mid hand gesture, and stepped back waiting with genuinly shocked curiosity to see what happened next. -

OOC: But I wanna! ;D (Thanks though, still think Siercon would just down it though, he has a bunch, is looking at a pile of a bunch, and would probably do it rather than bother anyone. :)) "Something like a wraith projected from somewhere else... I think I might just disappear when all my connections are gone... Interesting though, Immortalis hinted that I might have 17, yet you say 18... I really don't know much myself." Siercon said looking a little confused and defeated, how to add to his "lives" was clearly on his mind. "If perhaps you see it happen again, can you give me an exact number?" Siercon glanced at Jinnipher to note her reaction to this. He was starting to see that the praise was getting repetitive... Siercon did not hide his annoyance at this. He gave Lind a pursed lipped look of apathetic condescension and awaited Karie's verdict. He did not like being ignored, people going 'above his head', or just a general air of not noting or caring what other people were actively doing with the very stuff he decided he was buying. Walking over to Vindsval he said in a mumble voice mostly audible to him only (OOC: 1/6 observation check for others) "That pisses me off more than his date drugging plans. Though part of me wants to see him try to pry the sword from your iron hand." He said noting Vindsval still holding the glowing blade. "Whatever, a torrential doomsday storm in a real war, is no place for a trinket bidding war anyways... But you gotta tell me more about this booming voice of whom you're serving at some point." (Fully, audible to the group:) "Whatever, I'm ready to head out, let's hurry." He said forcing himself to be more resolute and focused. "As for the two angels, I personally would like to see Corvis's live. His task is one of rebuilding and bringing back the beauty of the creatures on the verge of extinction from the fallout of immortalis. I'm surprised he's chosen to be part of the destruction. But this sentiment is purely for the creatures he holds the keys to, not for him specifically... After all, he assaulted us." "Also, that dream doesn't show how eventually that little dragon did come of age... To the point where Immortalis told me himself "Both of my heirs are dead, and I would not trust anyone else with this burden of power." So at some point the sentiment we saw in this dream became no longer true and he would have passed on the mantle of...." Siercon looked up at the torrential downpour. "...well...THIS!!" -

"Megablocks, now who's gonna finish Corvis's work? Wish I'd at least gotten some kinda key or strategy for bringing the endangered species back... I think they would have been more important to him than his loyalty to immortalis in death..." With that Siercon carved a grave in the shape of a deep dinosaur footprint. -

OOC. In context Siercon seems to have been KOd until now. But I just wanted to mention he wouldn't have left that battle field without grabbing a feather from Telethias wings. That was sorptive going to be my next action. However, I leave it up to you if Siercon managed to get one of hers or was KO'd the whole time. perhaps he "fumbled around for it in a stupor", before collapsing again and needing to be carried. lol Anyways, I'll roll with the punches and still take it as a bonding friendship moment with Masson. But if you could let me know if I have one of her feathers that would be very helpful. (Perhaps even there's one stuck in her robes)(again it not necessarily looking for the creation of lots of items, but Siercon fully intends to collect the set from these guys whether or not they turn out to be actual items or just personal quest marks :P) Edit: Well I guess what you have makes total sense since we fled... so perhaps my only hope is that there's one stuck in the robe lol. Siercon looks groggily at the others. Tendrils of light threading from the ground unto his person. They seemed like a life essence sort of a thing, and two of them were cut and blackend. As soon as Siercon came fully conscious, they vanished swallowing up inside of him. There were exactly 16 Threads of light, and 2 dead ones. (OOC. If noticed at all, perhaps your character did or didn't see the exact number, up to you. :P again, nothing to do with the quest just a personal character thing.) "Thank you Masson" He said taking his full weight and putting a hand on Masson's soaked waterlogged shoulder. "Much appreciated." Siercon downed a potion bringing him to full health. "As for the rest of ya!" he said with mock disappointment, "Thanks for leaving me in the dirt." "Naw just kidding, it's what I would've done, better save that incense I gave ya for when most all of us are down." Siercon said stretching and nodding to Arthur. "And this is why I gave it to you, I'm not particularly hardy..." (Siercon does not know that you got KO'd as well.) "Speaking of which, those are fine robes... if perhaps no one wants them..." Siercon said searching Telethias Robes As he said this he noticed the angels... and walked over. "So what are we going to do with these two?" With that he plucked a prominent feather from each of them and put it with the rest of his 'collection'. -

*** OOC important note for Arthur and Karie. The Phoenix 'essence' in Arthur's duplovian halberd is actually a Phoenix incense purchased from the fields of glory, and will restore all Kod party members. Personally, and if Siercon was awake he would say use one essence on Arthur so we have that one available and leave siercon in the dirt for awhile.*** -

Siercon spins off to another flank. He felt like his last move was similar to the mystic warriors he had battled along side in the past. Typically, when he had a surge of power it acted like an explosion. Still he didn't bother wondering. The unique flurry of 7 blows was exhilarating. Although he could've sworn that other black angel was now sealed. Regardless, he had a new flank to introduce himself to! repeats his previous attack on black angel c from the front row however for his second action, if the first fragile and sealed is applied, he follows it with a light spell while wielding svens dagger. If not he repeats initial attack. (Immune to dark) -

Siercon finished with his confusion pulse, "Do you all not realize that immortalis sent her here knowing that it would kill her..." Whatever, he thought and rushed over to the right flank... I'll let all them sit for now.. He thought. with that he went against gray angel D. He pushed forward and thrust at him with svens dagger. Twice. Front row, svens dagger, gray angel D channeling darkness and etherial opal. Repeats for second attack unless rolled shield for first attack or angel is dead. if so then second identical attack is applied to left flank white angel B. If at any point siercons new found barrier is removed he switches and further assaults are carried against Vaermina same assault. Siercon loved fighting in flanks. And running around bouncing from opponent to opponent as they were already in deadlock with others. Was the most fun. Trying to tip the scales until they domino... Was probably the best thing about skirmishes. -

"Well... You four look imposing..." Siercon said advancing to the front flank. "Sigh, well I should probably pick on someone more my size... But these presents are more suited for your front flank... Besides, I enjoy learning about the unknown, even when it kills me." Taking a confusion bomb he let it roll off his fingers just in front of him. As it bounced an inch up back off the ground he kicked it hard at the four. Siercon squared off against Glaz from the back row, confusion bomb. OOC: thoughts appreciated, I think this is advisable in spite of risks of immediate ko, as a confusion bomb would do the most damage on this flank early on eh?
