I don't think Natelite was referring to these pictures in relation to the Serpentine, more as a response to Angeli writing that the breastplate was the only armour to only go on one side of the minifig. That said, I initially thought of the death postponers as well, but it occured to me that Angeli was only talking about armour. =)

Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Multiverse replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
My first association to the name 'Marvel 4' is the Lego Boardgame Monster 4. Knowing how Lego have released repeats of earlier, successful games before (Minitaurus, Ramses Return) as well as licensed boardgames (Harry Potter, the upcoming Hobbit game), I think it's entirely realistic to think that it might actually be a game. In which case I think we'd definitely get an Iron Man microfig. =) -
I was sceptical for a while as to whether this would really be a theme, but with set names, prices and numbers showing up, it's beginning to seem legitimate. I'm really looking forward to it after hearing those insectoid-like names. =)

Sounds like a nice little setup. ^_^ -
Lego's used to help preservation of mummy

Ingenious and inspiring in equal measures! I love what you can do when you use your senses and common brilliance! -
Not neccessarily. I think it's a long time since the last use of that piece, and they might very well have gotten rid of the mould. Alternatively, they might simply want to renew it to fit better with the current mould sortiment.

In other words, exactly the way we all know and love it. =)

I would be really happy to get one of those, not as much for what it is, but for how much anyone would have to care to go out of their way to find a tiny little exclusive set just for my sake. =J

I hope nobody minds me bumping my own question, but since it's gotten no replies even by those considerate enough to answer to every single question that's still out in the open (which is an admirable and kind initiative, I think), I'll conclude that it's a bad idea to combine my advice and my questions in one post. =) So, I asked this question a while ago: =)

A funny (and to me, of course, tragic) little anecdote, which I thought would fit in this discussion as relevantly as anywhere else - A few weeks ago, I attended the wedding of a relative. Each guest was given a small 'catalogue' with a few lines of information about each of the other guests. Well, it said about one of the guests that she was educated as an architect, but had since been employed by Lego. Since I figured that Lego was a big company with thousands of employees, most of whom aren't doing the interesting things, and since she wasn't seated at my table, I never went to talk to her. Her name was Astrid. And, as it turns out, that Astrid. I still have a relative whose wife is a friend of her boyfriend, though, so there's a chance I might still get to talk to her (and tell her my utmost appreciation of the Town Hall). Although it would seem a rather stalker-y thing to do, so I'll try to wait for a reasonable situation for it.

Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
Multiverse replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I'm a long-time follower of your project, and I can only say that I admire your work fantastically. I seem to have missed a bit, though, because there's delightfully many new things for me to catch up with since the last time I checked. So this whole scene at the exposition, is that just one of the six parts? =) -
Wow, beatiful! I've never been able to handle the larger-scaled sculpturing, myself. And here I was, expecting a simple scene using the S7 Poseidon minifig! I've been pleasantly surprised!

You can say that again. My personal experience tells me that Lego store employees are often extremely nice people who aren't actually as interested in Lego as to keep themselves up-to-date with the upcoming sets or their availability. ;)
-
Wow, impressive! There was a time a few years ago when I rediscovered the RR game, too, and all I could think of for the next couple of months was how sad I was to have missed out on that line; Power Miners, like any remake theme, was of little consolation to me. =J I'd still have liked to have had some Rock Raiders sets, though. =)

REVIEW - Halloween Accessory Set (850487)
Multiverse replied to cunningfox99's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I agree with you that this is a great little set. I had the collectibles already, but lacked the ghost. The zombie, of course, is a reboot, and therefore just all the more interesting, too, so only the witch was an unneccessary addition for me personally. I'm disappointed in the quality of the suitcase in my particular version, though - the clutch power of the handle is very weak. -
"It's like Fabuland, but with motorcycle death-matches!" =D
-
That's really well done! It doesn't appear very haunted anymore, but it's definitely a great piece to have in any modular street. Considering how many people have talked of doing this, I think you're putting down the cornerstone in a new series of different interpretations of that set. ;) Can I ask something? It looks very much like it, but just to be sure, it is actually modular, right? Also, apart from the pink flowers and the baseplate, have you used any pieces that weren't in the original set? =) I hope you don't mind that I might just turn to that for inspiration for my own 16-wide modular at some point. =)

I love the build on that rocking horse - it's simultaneously sleek and blocky in just the right places. =)
-
Wow, that's beatiful. As a fellow Dane, I'm naturally pleased to see this, but I'm really more fond of the Architecture style than of the motive. NPU on the half-rock roof! ;)
-
It might be something like the smaller Exo-Force sets or that Power Miners mini-mech. Actually, I'd be pretty happy with something like the former; I liked those little Exo-Force sets very much. =)

Today I got the Beach-, Halloween- and Rock Band Minifigure sets, the Big Ben Architecture set, five S8 Minifigs, the Bytar and that-green-snakeman Ninjago booster packs and a large PaB cup. The minifigures turned out to be the Alien Queen, Conquistadore, Lederhosen Guy, Pirate Captain and Evil Robot. Oh, and two free Monster Fighter Zombie Car sets. =D
-
Should I buy one of each NRG ninja (including the weapon package with NRG Kai) and Lloyd ZX? It's extremely expensive for only five minifigures (and one more, which is not quite as important), but I'd really love to have those metallic-printed pieces. And a green ninja. =J And on a completely unrelated note, would it be worth buying them as an investment? Is the price of a sealed NRG ninja, or Lloyd ZX, going to rise after they're taken off the shelves? I'm partial to Britain, so I have to side with Tower Bridge. =)

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 8 Rumours & Discussion
Multiverse replied to Piranha's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I bought three of these when I stumbled upon them in the local toy store a few hours ago. I got the Businessman, the Fairy and the Alien Empress. I'll have to say that I'm a little disappointed in the fairy - I like the wings, and I like the torso print, but I care little for the figure as whole. It just seems off to me, like it was thrown together at the last minute with little concern of aestethics. =\ The Alien Empress, on the other hand, is perfectly beautiful! I'll have to get a lot of multiples of that before it becomes a disappointment to find it. =D
