  1. Paul: this is certainly an interesting topic. While I don't know you (not even from EB), it sounds as if (forgive me for saying), you may still have a bit of a broken heart over your first relationship and looking for something that can fill the gap. Whether or not my assumption is true, you should pursue interests that you feel passionate about. There is no wrong or right answer, and while many can read your question(s) and provide their advise, you should ask yourself which hobby(ies) make you feel good inside. Personally, as an old fart that still likes LEGO, I don't have one 'real-life friend' or work associate that is into building LEGO; however, I've found a great group of people that have turned my interest of LEGO into a social hobby, right here on Eurobricks. That said, that doesn't mean you have to give up any of your other interests (IT, photography, or radio scanning (although I don't even know what that is )). I enjoy horror and mystery movies, spooky stories, and collecting Playmobil as well as LEGO - to name just a few. Being who you are affords you the opportunity to pursue many interests aside from and including LEGO. Enjoy your passions regardless of what others think. Those who care about you will understand. It makes you unique and who you really are. Good luck!
  2. Please resize your images. Our site guidelines are 800x600 max. Usually, 640x480 works fine for MOC/MOD images.
  3. Thank you for sharing Antonio, but please resize your images. Our site guidelines are no larger than 800x600. Usually, a 640x480 image works fine for MOC pictures. Thanks.
  4. I love the colors and you've certainly created a nice design that captures the look of wood siding quite well. Great lanterns and a most interesting cactus bush design. Very nice!
  5. Awesome CopMike! Thanks for sharing. The Western Town looks pretty impressive as well.
  6. New in the EB Town Forum is this amazing Town Hall and Market by Kris Kelvin. His creation takes LEGO Town to much higher level of detail and splendor.
  7. Welcome Brik-el. Please know that you can also introduce yourself to EB in the 'Hello, My Name is Forum'. This thread is for sharing your passion for LEGO Trains. Also, as a new member, I would recommend you check out EB's site guidelines. In any case, glad to have you.
  8. Pretty nice Effulner. Strangely, this reminds me of an early 12V Trains. I like the colors. NOTE: please resize your images though. 800x600 is the largest per site guidelines, and for most images, 640x480 works just fine. Thanks.
  9. Very nice Anna. I love the camper. You've certainly created a nice little scene here that gets me back into vacation mode. I think this deserves some front page attention.
  10. One of EB's newer members, Anna, has the right idea of how to spend the summer holiday. Her wonderful MOC depicts a camper, fishing, lounging, and even a little archery. What are you planning to do over the summer holiday? You can always try some LEGO Town or City building and share your creation in EB's Town Forum.
  11. This is a 'must buy' for LEGO Train fans. The price and what it offers makes it a nice value for any layout. I've added a poll and front-paged this review Matt. Thanks for sharing and I hope to see it in my local TRU. EDIT: It would be nice to see the stats in the beginning of the review (e.g. piece count, price, etc.).
  12. Are you a fan of LEGO Trains? If so, you might be excited to see early image reviews of LEGO's new 2010 Train sets. LEGO Train fan Matt Dawson brings the EB Train Tech Forum a review of the new 7936 Level Crossing. What a great little train accessory set for those of you wanting to expand your LEGO Train layout!
  13. Good to know Grogall. Thank you for sharing this information. Seems it's a good idea to plan to buy any/all that you want now, in light of this information. I'm pretty much done with my duplicates having just picked up a few more at my local TRU yesterday afternoon. Good luck to all in search of your favorite figs.
  14. Head over to the Train Tech Forum to check out one dozen 7-wide Passenger Cars. Lego Train fan Cooper creates this wonderful assortment of cars for his passenger fleet.
  15. My bad . There is and I missed it (even after a few searches but thank you). Sorry WhiteFang. I missed your initial thread. I'll be merging this with your topic now. EDIT: topic merged - sorry 'bout that. In my Forestmen Frenzy, I missed this initial topic.
  16. No surprise to some of you - mine is the Forestman. I never had any of the Forestman sets during my Dark Ages; now I'm searching the stores to build a little army of these woodland archers.
  17. There's certainly been a lot of discussion about LEGO's new Minifigure collection. We've had CopMike's early fig reviews, the terrific Minifig Contest coordinated by WhiteFang, Peppermint M's creative collection of MOCs, and a 1,400 reply post in the Town Forum; as well as a few other interesting topics related to the figs. But until now, we don't have a poll to vote for our favorite Series 1 Minifigure. So, I'm going to add this topic to see how these figs are stacking up among those of you who have been fortunate to buy a few, and those of you admiring the figs from a far. Vote for your favorite minifig here and discuss what you like best about it.
  18. Interesting topic. Would an Imperial Flagship look awkward with a few battlepacks of Dragon Knights? There's the Viking Ship as well.
  19. It certainly didn't take TRU long to jack up their price. At mine, they were initially $2. While they haven't got in any more, the price in their computer is now $2.50.
