Thanks for explaining, but that doesn't really answer the question to BrickWild regarding the source of his creation. I'd like to have him answer the question at hand as a few are asking if this was someone else's creation.

I've replaced your images with links since you did not resize them as requested. Please assure that you abide by EB site guidelines before posting in the future. Images posted larger than 800x600 will simply by removed next time. Since I don't know much about LEGO digital designs, what does it mean that you used a "LU pallate"? Is this something that ACCURATEin created?

And your images are larger than our site guidelines of 800x600.

Welcome lostdriveway. Hope you enjoy the forum.

Patje: I've always loved your lit Christmas Train dioramas - why don't you deeplink/post a few images directly in this thread.

Topic merged KB. Also, To LegoSjaak: you don't need to quote entire posts when replying.

Just tried it - I still like Track Designer better. Adding pieces in TD is much easier. Thanks for sharing the link though.

Yes - thanks. If you end up buying a new train, the Cargo Train looks really nice. Unfortunately, many stores are sold out for Christmas (at least in my area), and my luck with SAH has been really bad. I've got the Emerald running around mine right now, but I switch it out periodically. I don't have the space to run two trains on the same table. I'm been looking at Playmobil lately - since I broke out the old Christmas Train for the tree (it's an annual holiday set-up for me).

Interesting topic LGG. First - I'll never forget the time, as a young man, that one of my girlfriends talked me into destroying my first Town layout, a Town that I had accumulated over years and spent hours playing with daily. She didn't think LEGO was cool, while all of my male friends in the neighborhood thought it was awesome. She talked me into taking each set apart to build one big house (that I never built), and soon thereafter, the pieces made themselves into various tubs, toy boxes, and bins, only to be mixed up beyond reconstruction until years later (with numerous missing pieces). Now, MANY years later, my special someone understands my LEGO interest (as well as other toys), and is fine with it. The way I look at the hobby as an adult is far different than that of the kid I was once. Any "special someone" will understand that LEGO is part of what makes you special (you meaning any fan). Hobbies (LEGO or anything else) is part of us and part of who we are. There is a compulsive aspect for some of us (see Minifigure discussions), but at the same time, our significant other can help limit obsessive buying/collecting/Internet use by suggesting, "maybe you should buy that new leaf blower instead of so many of those little Clash of the Titan soldiers" or "honey, we're running out of room for all your LEGO despite the 4-car garage". In any case, if you are having trouble helping your significant other understand your fascination with LEGO, start bringing them with you to LEGO events, make a pilgrimage to LEGOLAND together, build something special just for them, or offer to buy them jewelry, watch (or other expensive personal item) in return for that LEGO Exclusive you can't wait to get your hands on, and they may be a little more accepting. Jewelry always seems to work for me. I understand children help as well. Good luck!

Beautiful Classic Town RF. I see some fine sets as part of your collection. EB does have an 800x600 image size limit though, if you could please resize your images - much appreciated. It is certainly a fine town though. I spent half of Sunday reworking my tabletown. Just dusting took a long time, then finally deciding on a workable layout that fits most of my more recent City sets and modulars. Yours needs a train now. EDIT: oops - just spotted it.
-
Hi All: I spend the better half of Sunday re-working my Train Town to make room for a few new sets, as well as giving the entire Town a good dusting. Wow! I didn't realize how bad the dust was, until I started cleaning the green road plates and roofs of the Modular sets. I ended up taking just about every set off the table to re-arrange the layout and came up with something that accomodates just about all my recent City/Town sets. Unfortunately, I did have to lose the water and harbor area - but the plus was Town Plan is back. Unfortunately, with the expanded town area, I've only got a single loop running with the Emerald, but she sure looks clean with her dusted boiler. So, it's a simple layout, but it looks a lot larger when actually seen, Train Town 7: I like the split between the two corner Modulars with space for my Mexican Church.

Welcome Rustie. 3225 Classic Train was an Ebay purchase for me (MISB). It's always been one of my favorite trains, reminding me of early blue era trains I missed out on living in the US. Hope you enjoy the forum and please share more of your trains with us. Thanks K.

Welcome K. Thanks for sharing your custom train images. Here on EB, we do have an image size limit of 800x600, if you could please resize your images though. Much appreciated. Hope you enjoy Train Tech. -TB

I love the little bedroom, esp. the pictures.

Appreciate the honest feedback guys. Seems most of you read MOD to mean Modification. I've since taken the alert/clarification off the Town and Train forums. The thought of using any preceding word/acronym in the title just helps organize the forum and easily identify reviews, MOCs, digital designs, etc. Feel free to continue to offer your suggestions/input.

Okay, I'm singing the song as I envision Clark Griswold's Cousin Eddie with a beer on the diving board. You had me at Mele Kalikimaka (try spelling that without the old cut & paste). In any case, very nice. I picked up a few of the hoola girls as well - just not sure what to do with them yet. This is cute.

Which is your favourite police station
WesternOutlaw replied to The Yellow Brick's topic in LEGO Town
This is so "Bricksterish". We need fresh though, fresh is good. My favorite is and always will be 588 Police HQ from 1979. They just don't make 'em like this anymore. Okay, I suppose out of these... I'll go with the big one - not sure the number. What can only trump 588 from 1979 is a Police Station Modular. That 6598 Metro PD Station is certainly nice though. Note: you should add set numbers to your picture for those of us not into LEGO's attempt to create police states. Oops, almost forgot, 588 - still got the pieces together: -
A sincere congratulations Bon. It's great to see that you are valued by LEGO (as well as all of us). You the man! I think we need another "Boner Party" now. Great job my friend!

REVIEW: 30062 Target Practice
WesternOutlaw replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I always thought the opposite (East to West). I know that not all Targets have them, at least in my City. You do have better odds of finding them at larger Target stores. Good luck. -
I don't know about that, at least in Town and Train; MOD seems to be used more for Designs. In any case, whatever the name, I'd like to keep it as simple as possible for the benefit of all.

MOC: Space shuttle crawler transporter and launch complex
WesternOutlaw replied to Teazza's topic in LEGO Town
Teazza: this is quite impressive. Thank you for sharing. We do have an image size limit of 800x600 here on EB though. I would appreciate if you could resize your images. Much appreciated. -
Hi Fellas: Let me explain. It's nice to identify the difference between a brick-built creation vs. something created with a digital program. We've used this syntax/naming convention for a number of years in the Town forum, and only in recent months am I seeing lots of different uses for the acronym (both designs and modifications). I wanted to clarify. Regardless of how others define it, it's been used as My Own Design here (and in Town), and maybe in some of the other forums. Unless any of you can think of a better naming convention, I'll keep it the way it has been used in the past. Some of the other options that I can come up with are LDD or Design (which we also have a forum for). I'll consider your opinions if the majority prefer one name over another, and share with the other mods/admins for consideration. Feel free to share your thoughts, but keep in mind that if you don't post MOCs or MODs, is it really an issue for you? For those of you that do, I value your opinion.

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Introducing LEGO Kingdoms most recent 2010/2011 set, 30062 Target Practice. I was surprised to find this little poly-bag set at my local Target while in line at the register. Set Number: 30062 Set Name: Target Practice (from Brickipedia) Theme: Castle Sub-Theme: Kingdoms Piece Count: 31 Price: $3.99 (USD) Purchased At: Target Minifigs: 1 I was equally surprised to find that a Free Child Ticket for Legoland California is included on the backside of the bag. It expires 12/31/11. The instructions, like other poly-bag sets, are rather small: The set includes a nice useful collection of 31 small pieces: Got to love the Kingdoms Archer that will make a nice sentry for 7946 King's Castle: Two spears and a crossbow are included for weapons. A crate makes the perfect storage container: This archer eats well with a flame-grilled chicken cooking on a campfire. LEGO seems to love the chicken piece. How about a steak for the real carnivores? The main build in this set is a little apple tree with target: I didn't realize that one could attach the apples to the tree pieces in this manner. I'm also thinking, "Now this is what the Creator AppleTree House needed. The target plate is attached with a hook to allow the traget to lift upward or downward: This side image shows the design a little better: Extra pieces include a hook and a flame: Here is the completed set: THOUGHTS For a mere $3.99 (USD), this is a great little set. Just when I had all but forgotten Kingdoms, I find this. Although I like the Green Army better than the Reds, an archer is quite useful to a castle tower or even some forest adventure scenes. This set would also go very well with a few Forestmen from the Series 1 Minifigure collection. I find the collection of accessories quite useful, although I wouldn't personally use the set as an army builder with just one minifig. Target Practice also provides a nice taste of the theme for those not into Kingdoms. Now I need to find 30061 which I never saw in stores. Hope you enjoy the review - nothing fancy, but a quick and dirty look at a neat little set.

Hi Jipay: we'd love to see this bridge again, but I notice you posted this back in 2004 - it was bumped by Fuzzylegobricks looking for pictures. Fuzzylegobricks: Please review topics before bumping (esp. old ones). This had to take you some time to find, as it wasn't even in our Train Tech Index. Why would you look for pictures of this MOC now? (don't answer that). In any case, you're getting very close to being chambered, as I see you're having trouble with our forums. Let me remind you that this site is for Adult Fans of Lego. Help show us that you belong here.
