  2. Damn right BOY! Bring on that old tin rust-bucket. Just make sure you leave some fish in it for the walruses. I'll blow a hole in that hollow belly like the empty chest of the Tin Man! CLANK! What time do you have to return it to your momma?, Robo-Crop Duster
  3. Get ready for a 6-pack of woop @$$! POW!
  4. The air suddently begins to chill... There's a wind blowing from the west. The smell of coal and sulfur begins to fill the air. Not generally seen during the day, it's TheBrickster's Snow Steamer that has come to take down all who oppose his wrath!
  5. Yes, teachers of the Academy may participate. ------------------------------------------------------- Hey! I just saw a giant porcupine on the EB Slopes. It's Sir Dillon's Snow Box entry. Looks great! Nice job Sir D.
  6. (Anthony enters the room dusting off some snow from his shoulders) Sorry Chaps, I had to find a bathroom and seem to have gotten lost. I was able to pick the lock of the front door. Would you believe it's snowing outside. There's some people gathering along the side of the hill. Looks like they intend to race. Unfortunately, when I was making a yellow snow angel on the hill, I dropped my Acme Pick-A-Lock Kit. After re-entering the house, the door slammed shut behind me locking once more. I've never heard of doors that lock from the outside, but what the hay. (starts sweating as he continues to add to the unbelievable story) Well, let's just say I've been watching from the "sidelines". Damn these mysteries are hard to keep up with after you've missed a few pages! Did anyone solve that last cryptogram? or) Hinck, are you still examining the shaft?
  7. For those of you following the exciting Snow Box Derby from the sidelines, I need your input. (Name Team or Individual) 4) What do you like about them? 5) Anything else you want to say? UPDATED QUESTIONS 1) Why are you following Snowbox Derby 2008? 2) Are you also rooting for the American Team? 3) If yes, why; if no, who are you rooting for? 4) There seems to be some issue between TheBrickster and Mr. Mandalorian. Who of these two individuals are you rooting for? / Why? 5) What would you like to say to your favorite Snow Box Fellow or Staff member? 1) What brought you out to the EB slopes today? 2) Have you been following each of the entries? 3) Who's your favorite? 4) Who's going to win this year's? event / Why? 8. Guss, Dennimator: Your MOCs made great examples for the Sideline Scenes contest. Thanks for sharing. If either of you want to create a new entry or change/modify your existing entries, just post them on the entry thread and I will delete what I posted for you. Just remember a one entry limit per person. Christmas Eve I'm looking forward to seeing all the great entries. Hope you all are having fun with this contest. Oh, and YES, there will be a poll in the end for the best entry.
  9. TheBrickster immediately bows to the power and beauty of the Snow Queen and her Native American ancestry . I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy! As one of her faithful minions, clear the snow hill for the queen. Someone give me a red carpet! - like pronto! Nevermind, I'll do it myself. (Begins clearing a trail through the powder). That's better. All hail to the Snow Queen! Your pushing your luck little man! Nice job, but my eyes are focussed upon the Royal Snow Box of the Snow Queen.
  10. I may do a Wild West Snow Box though. I'll let you know.
  11. This is excellent! I love the snow tunnel as the minifig digs his way out. This may find it's way to Classic.Town.net as part of the Countdown to Christmas. Thanks for sharing and I hope you continue to build these great scenes!
  12. SNOW BOX DERBY Sideline Scenes Upon request from EB members, the Snow Box Derby Contest has been expanded to include ALL EB members. Non-Fellows and Non-Staff members can now participate in the contest by building "Sideline Scenes". Sideline Scenes can include crowds cheer'ing, crowds boo'ing, concession/food stands, mountain and snow-covered forest scenes, as well as wacky antics on the slope! Check out the Sidelines Scenes Rules & Discussion thread for more information. Also, exclusive daily media coverage of this exciting event can be found at Classic.Town.net. Check it out today!
  13. Partly, yes. Nice job! Oh ya, one entry per person. Thanks.
  14. I've been paring people up as they've been sharing their entries. So far, we have: - The Dragon Clan (WF & Dragonator) - The American Team (Sir Nadroj & Erdbeereis) - The Wackers (Hinckley & Sinner) - just because they're both wacky (although we haven't seen their entries yet, they are often times pictured together) - You - Mr. M's Big Mack - And haven't paired me with anyone yet I'll create some more teams as more participants enter.
  15. Nice job guys - and very creative. I'm looking forward to seeing the other entries.
  16. Oh my gosh! It's as big as an AT-AT. That thing is huge! I'm not getting in front of that thing. Does it have "frick'n laser beams" to? Damn! EDIT (about 5 minutes later): Damn that THANG is huge!
  17. Non-Fellows and Non-Admins: I've added a supplemental Snow Box Derby contest, "Sideline Scenes". Now everyone can participate. While sideline scenes and crowd shots are preferred, if you really want to create that sled that didn't make it to the official race, you can even enter it here. Sideline Scenes Rules & Discussion
  18. Snow Box Derby Sideline Scenes Rules & Discussion Post Your Entries Here Entry #1 by Guss: :P from left to right : Stauder, Vbbn ( without epaulettes^^ ), Erdbeereis1, me, a stormtrooper , zorro3999, Captain Zuloo who let his normal camera at home, so he took this little one instead :P
  19. Isn't that an official set? Seriously, it looks like it could be a Batman Impulse Set. Nice job! - I am looking for a partner.
  20. Snow Box Derby Sideline Scenes By request from some of the other members of EB, I've decided to create a 2nd part of the Snow Box Derby called "Sideline Scenes". This supplemental part of the contest will allow entries from non-Fellows and non-Staff only in the spirit of Snow Box Derby fun. RULES: 1. Participants build a "Sideline Scene" of the wacky Snowbox Derby 2. Sideline Scenes may include crowd shots (cheer'ers and/or boo'ers), concession/food/snack stands, trees and snow hills, accidents/mishaps, other wacky-related Derby fun. 2. Only Non-Fellows and Non-Staff may participate 3. One entry limit/person with one picture, no larger than 640x480 posted to the entry thread 4. This contest is for fun only, no prizes. 5. Have fun without too many rules and questions! People with too many questions will be disqualified and removed from the EB Slopes. Entry Thread
  21. Well where is it Bat Boy? Do we need to shine some sort of Bat Signal to get it out of the cave or what?
  22. The Economy and Leftovermobile - Top Notch! Excellent job guys, and very creative. Way to go American Team! NOTE: To all of the NON-Fellows and Admins: I would really encourage you to create some fan/sideline scenes. Guss created a very nice example of something other than a Snow Box. There's crowd scenes (cheer'ers and boo'ers), concession/food stands, sideline antics (even picketers). Let's add some fun to it as our Fellows and Admins build the Snow Boxes. Also, be sure you check out tomorrow's broadcast of Day 2 of the Derby on Classic-Town-net.
  23. These are excellent! I think we're going to need some live coverage: Classic-Town.net Make sure you check it out.
  24. Nice entry Dragonator. That thing looks like it's going to take off. Are you sure you're not part of Snefroe's Rocket Raiders? Also, I love the cheering fans Guss. Excellent! Thank you for being a real sport and adding to the fun. Just remember this old cowboy quote, one of my personal favorites: "We can't all be heroes because someone has to sit on the curb and clap as they go by". Not exactly applicable, but fun in any case.
