  1. Your Disney collection is quite impressive BSR. I've always been a huge Disney fan, so I especially like this set. On a side note, please be aware that our site guidelines are images not to exceed 800x600 - if you could please resize your larger images. Much appreciated.
  2. Hi Blondie-Wan. It's always nice to learn more about our LEGO Train fans - very descriptive post. I could not agree with you more about the Indy theme as well. LEGO could have done so much more with a great theme. In any case, glad you took a little time to share an intro. Welcome again and I hope you continue to enjoy LEGO Trains.
  3. Beautiful Tony - I'm loving that station and water tower but the entire display is stunning. Front-paged!
  4. Welcome to the Piney Woods...of East Texas LEGO Train Builder Extraordinaire, SavaTheAggie, has shared his amazing Piney Woods LEGO Train Layout in EB's Train Tech Forum. Built for the 2012 Brick Fiesta, the impressive 10x10' layout will be displayed at TSRR Park at Palestine Texas. Fortunately, you can see this splendid LEGO Train layout right here at EB. Check out the details!
  5. Absolutely! I can't wait to get my hands on one of these. Great furnishings for the Haunted House. Thanks for taking the time to provide a review Plissken. Nice little set (TheBrickster walks away slowly whistling the tune to the classic 1967 song, Spooky).
  6. Hello bjtpro. We have a topic for non-LEGO train brands and I have moved your question here. Your question certainly belongs here as opposed to our General Question Topic. As this is a LEGO forum, I try to only maintain one topic to discuss off-brands but all are welcome to discuss them here. EDIT: Personally, I try to never buy cheap LEGO clones (with the exception of a Creature from the Black Lagoon Mini-Mate). The Swamp Creature was not available at the time. Carry on.
  7. Welcome Chris. You're certainly off to a good start. One of LEGO's most beautiful passenger trains and a Wild West Train. I'd give them . Hope you enjoy the forum.
  8. Rebelego: let me be the first to congratulate you on a splendid MOC (and welcome to EB). The real appreciation of this little steam locomotive/train is watching it venture through your woodland setting with smoke and sound. In Anaheim/Buena Park California right down the road from Knotts Berry Farm is a McDonalds that has had a woodland G-scale train. It's been there for many years (I'm talking like 20+). I always enjoyed going in and watching the train pass through the woodland scenery. This train reminds me of the experience. I'd really like to see your entire layout that really adds to your wonderful little steam train. Nice job and I love the music. The band at the end is a neat little surprise.
  9. As always Cale, you've outdid yourself once again. I'm loving both locomotives and just wondering when LEGO will be releasing a $200 model with one of these bad boys. The details are splendid and these models easily surpass the quality of an HO or G scale train. Absolutely beautiful!
  10. Interesting mod Mikka. I like the red accents, esp. the front of the locomotive. Your additional details add some nice interest as well.
  11. It's always neat to see these tabletop layouts. I think it looks nice with the amount of space you have to work with. I've had the same challenge with my own table. I ended up purchasing some larger boards to make the table bigger. Space is always a challenge and as one's collection grows, it's hard to fit everything in. I see that you even have an elevated track area always adding interest to a layout.
  12. Not a problem - good answer for the benefit of a new train fan.
  13. Hi Artifex. I was hoping one of our Train fans would answer your question but since no one has responded, let me try: There's a topic here in Train Tech called Discontinuation Speculation. It talks about set availability including the Maersk, a very nice Cargo Train I may add. Train fan MojoLego also created a nice graph that depicts the life/availability of 9V and newer trains. Generally, the life of a train seems to be around 2-3 years depending on how well the train sells. You never know what or how many future train sets LEGO will release. Trains have been doing pretty well over the past several years, but prior to that, LEGO seemed to release a new train every few years. From experience, I would not wait too long if you like the Maersk or one of the City Trains. 7937 Train Station is a neat set. I like the pedestrian bridge that goes over the train/track. It adds a lot of play value and detail to a tabletop layout. There will always be a new station so if you like it, I would recommend you buy it now. Good luck with your decision.
  14. Hello Ballast - welcome. Glad you took a moment to share your collection. Looks like you've got some nice trains. I've always wanted 4564 - love these little Euro trains. Feel free to share some images of your custom train down the road. Again, welcome!
  15. Welcome Brett - very nice build. I've always liked these types of electric locomotives. Nice color as well. Please be aware that our image posting guidelines are 800x600 max if you could resize your images. Much appreciated.
  16. Welcome LLS97. Hope you enjoy the forum. Thanks - not real original, but it was fun at the time.
