  1. When retail is open Easons is probably your best bet, but you need to be quick if it’s a desirable minifigure. Larger Tesco stores too. I tend to pick them up on newsstand.co.uk which also sells Blocks magazine (and all the other Lego magazines with foil bags). Again, for desirable minifigures you should order in advance of release.
  2. Voted for Nebulon B Frigate. Other 2 likely to be made again at some stage. I’d say winner arrives 2021 at earliest (although all 3 are probably in development already). As for 2020, with the 40th anniversary of ESB I wouldn’t bet against an AT-AT as UCS release
  3. Still a few in Hamley’s At Heathrow airport - Free with £40 spend
  4. I would certainly welcome this proposal. A few ideas: Cantina Encounter €14.99 Ponda Baba, Dr Evazan, Obi-Wan, Luke, small bar section. Wampa Attack €24.99 Wampa, Luke with Tauntaun, Small cave build Max Rebo Band €14.99 Max Rebo with instrument, Droopy McCool, Sy Snootles (minidoll body with molded head), Oola. Reunion in Saw’s Hideout €39.99 Jyn Erso, Saw Gerrera, Benthic, G2-1B7 droid. Holographic projection of Galen Erso (print/sticker on transparent panel). Interior build includes Bodhi Rook in prison cell.
  5. Well the Rugby World Cup is on there (Japan) in September so perhaps it’s a promotional set linked to the tournament
  6. New Han in Stormtrooper costume circulating. Could this be in anniversary set 75260 ?(www.stonewars.de) however the other anniversary sets seem to be based on vehicles from previous (generally much older) sets and the only set that this figure has been in is the promotional Detention Block Rescue from 2017. Perhaps a promotional figure.
  7. It’s been regularly reduced at Amazon UK by 30-35% (currently 30% off). So, I would suggest waiting for a deal.
  8. This is exactly why I think that the 2HY list is incomplete. The pattern for several years now is more than one theme in the summer and some one-off additional sets (eg Service Station, Cargo terminal, Hospital) and people packs. I would not be surprised if the Fire Station with boat dock, kayak adventure and diving boat just released are designed to complement a Harbour/marina in the Summer wave.
  9. I think Sky Police effectively eliminates Airport as a Summer 2019 sub-theme. I would bet on Space. I think the lack of boats currently makes a Harbour subtheme likely. The fact that there is a diving boat in great-vehicles makes a return to Deep sea diver subtheme unlikely too. I don’t see a whole Farm sub-theme but a stand-alone Farm set would be very welcome. I don’t think “Fun on the Farm” people pack could incorporate enough Farm scenarios unless you substitute a lot of minifigures for animals. Fun at the fair would complement the Creator expert sets well. Finally, the lack of a Train station since 60050 makes this a likely set.
  10. Musical clue....I’m still hopeful that it could mean a concert theatre, corner building, with an orchestra. Not long now....
  11. Sky police with simple builds, action features, light and sound is really aiming for the main City police market i.e 5 to 8 year old boys. Somewhat disappointed by the snow-groomer (pisten bully) although they probably would have needed a higher piece count for more detail and wasn’t aware that a snow cannon was a thing although the set is similar to a smaller version of this https://ideas.lego.com/projects/f19d9e19-9d34-45e8-adf2-0b5baed58b24 The harvester transporter is the highlight. I think the Sky Police, diving yacht and Harvester may rule out Airport, Divers and Farm as summer sub-themes. So perhaps Space again and hopefully a harbour/dockland.
  12. So if Airport is on a 3 year cycle (2010, 2013, 2016) and Space is every 4 years (2011, 2015) one might expect both as Summer 2019 sub-themes. However with the Sky Police coming I think we will get Space exploration and a water-based sub-theme in the summer -there will be very few city sets with boats available at that stage. We could possibly see a return to divers (maybe marine biologists instead of treasure hunters) and hopefully a large harbor set.
  13. Overall an excellent year! Best Theme: 1st The Lego Ninjago Movie, 2nd TLBM, 3rd Ideas Best Set: 1st Ninjago City, 2nd Assembly Square 3rd Old Fishing Store Best Minifigure: 1st Flying Monkey (70917) 2nd Vacation Batman CMF 3rd Volcano Garmadon CMF Worst theme: Nexo Knights Worst Set: Hulk vs Red Hulk Worst Minifigure: Corn Cob Guy ( not looking forward to series 18)
  14. I was actually referring to the villains coming exclusively in wave 3 sets - Boomerang, Crazy Quilt, Gentleman Ghost, Egghead and Condiment King
  15. On the positive side I think this series 2 is really well designed, and the accessory variety and count is generous ( should make it easier to feel the ones you want too). Given the comments so far part of me wonders whether there will really be an appetite for a 3rd wave of sets apart from JLA party and Joker manor. Also given the reaction to the Bricktober Minifigure set they may have missed the opportunity on including more wacky batsuits in this series. What I would have liked to have seen for wave 3 would have been 2 different complementary JLA party sets with 5 figures each and small builds, the Joker manor with all the FaF characters and drop the vehicle sets entirely. They could have then used the unreleased villains, nightwing, reggae Batman, and thrown a few more Bat-variants (these are the ones my kids want most) into the CMF S2.
  16. Looking back at catalogues between '83 and '88 (when I was a child enchanted by Lego) there was a simplicity to the sets that included a much higher proportion of low to medium priced items, compared to more expensive sets, than are available now. There were suggestions for alternative builds. There were few stickers that restrict the utility and re-use of bricks. In the current era, across a vast range of themes Lego has failed to deliver pocket money affordability (CMFs have limited playability) for today's children and they need to look at having proportionately more sets in the €10 to €20 bracket. I think that more useful classic and creator sets need to be released (we don't need 42 colours in each set) and a limit on the number of licensed themes to help keep price per part costs down. There will always be bigger sets for special occasions and always room for AFOL-targeted mega sets but the bigger picture needs to be smaller.
  17. I think maybe that's what @Catanas was hinting. Very hard to see what else will now make up the 20 with few villains left, no Phantom Zone villains, and unused preliminary sketch villains excluded. Please let it not be more Super Friends.
  18. I think they will go for the wackiest remaining unreleased batsuits for the CMF (I'm still amazed that 3 of the best ones are in the Bricktober set), most likely we'll get 5 like last time so I'm hoping for the following 1. El Murcielago 2. St Batricks 3. The Batriot 4. Mayor-disguise Batman 5. Silent but Deadly I think the first 3 are highly likely but I wouldn't be surprised if we got Krampus Bat, Racer Batman (Bat-Hurst 1000), Mer-bat or SWAT Batman.
  19. Wow, if these are leftovers from the CMF series 2 we have reasons to be optimistic!
  20. It's looking like we may get way fewer villains in CMF series 2 than in the first series (11 rogues) Correct me if I'm wrong but those that have been confirmed are: 1. Clock King 2. Hugo Strange 3. Killer Moth 4. Zod 5. Possibly "tropical" Joker hopefully we get Dr Phosphorus ( would be great with Ghost rider moulded flaming hairpiece) but any ideas who else could make up the numbers if no Phantom Zone villains? Another Harley variant? Other unreleased Arkham variants eg Scarecrow? Non-licensed Phantom Zone folk such as Swamp creature? For team Batman I hope we get 60s suit Alfred, trenchcoat Barbara or Soccer Mom, and winged avenger Robin.
  21. Excuse my ignorance but who are the characters above and below King Tut? I don't recall them in the movie so I guess they have a slim chance of making it to CMFs
  22. Ok apologies but with conflicting messages and talk of placeholders it s sometimes hard to keep track.
  23. Has this person also confirmed Crazy Quilt for the Harley Quinn set?
  24. So, considering there are few other remaining villains (apart from Dr Phosphorus which could be a great CMF) we can reasonably expect a Robin, Batgirl, Alfred variant, possibly another JL party figure, and if we are not getting Phantom Zone villains then perhaps we are looking at 6 or 7 batsuits?
  25. Thanks!! I ordered a Water Strider and Jelly Sub combo for €15 discount and got free Kai dojo pod and the iconic Cave"people" set. Great deal.
