  1. So the Christmas set doesn't fly anymore ... Apparently it's actually a Christmas AT-AT.
  2. Good one @Renown On here we have a nice healthy discourse and debate. Social media is mostly spam. What annoys me the most is the Youtubers who I know use to follow leaks and read these threads purely as a hobby, now tagging their own posts as leaks when they are nothing of the sort because they know how annoying it is to have the hashtag full of spam.
  3. The interior sketch would seem to suggest that Neville will be in his pyjamas and it also shows full grown Fawkes in Dumbledore's Office. The underground rock level apparently includes the Devil's Snare, Winged Keys and Chess challenges, whilst the Mirror of Erised is situated above Dumbledore's Office in the roof eves like it was in the original 2018 Great Hall set. It's tenuous but perhaps that's why Quirrell won't be included because the challenges don't lead to the end goal, but I can really only see his inclusion in The Great Hall set rather than this one as a marketing ploy to make people buy both sets to display or play the end scene. Obviously not everyone is going to be forced to buy two very expensive sets just to do so, but it will surely influence some.
  4. The Herbology minifigure count is very dissapointing, especially since Sprout if said to have plain tan legs. For the rumoured $50-$60 price point I would have expected at least four minifigures. I'm guessing the new Mandrake is either considered a 'minifigure' or just used some of the budget either way. I'm starting to think Neville saying 'Why is it always me?' has become an inside joke at Lego HQ. I really hope he is in his teddy pyjamas in The Main Tower! I'm guessing the Quidditch player is the way to provide a Slytherin representative and increasing the play value by having a student able to fly around the tower. I'm guessing their torso will either be the same Qudditch robes or a reuse of a new Quidditch torso that will come in the QQS set. The faceprint might be a reuse in both sets too.
  5. It's real supposedly ... But as usual just take everything with a pinch of ... gingerbread ... until any solid info.
  6. It's listed as an 18+ so I would guess it would be minifigures although no leaked information as of yet.
  7. Thank you. So that rules Kettleburn out of coming with the Monster Book Of Monsters then.
  8. It does, but then it looks better in the photo on the front of the box. It's a really good looking model overall.
  9. Yeah it is weird. Cruella's dress, the two puppies, the 18+ Puppies build and now Cruella's Car. Assuming that Cruella's Car wasn't the 18+ set all along. Still even 3 sets is quite a lot when there's no new movie or anniversary.
  10. Do you think baby elephant in the sky means a buildable Dumbo? I'm surprised there is apparently going to be another Disney Princess Advent Calender. The last one didn't sell well at all from what I can see.
  11. From what I can tell the buildable Thestral family is said to be real and this year's Harry Potter Brickheadz are said to be Goblet of Fire based and Luna and a Thestral.
  12. For the love of all things buildable ... Well it means less money spent this year I suppose and they have got to find someway of keeping the theme going without waves of only repeats. It will either turn out cuteish or total nightmare fodder I think. Now can we have some more pictures of the new sets pretty please.
  13. Lego designer to 2nd designer: 'You want a gingerbread biscuit?' 2nd Lego designer takes a gingerbread biscuit. Swoops biscuit in air. Lego designer: 'They fly now?' 2nd Lego designer: 'They fly now.''
  14. It depends if the set could be seen as based off different movies if Dumbledore's Office is in there seeing as that location is not seen until the second film. They put Luna in the last COS set despite the fact that we'd never met her by that point in the book or films although yes she would have started Hogwarts that year. They might decide recognisability is better for sales than complete accuracy. That being said I'd rather she was left for sets matching her film / book appearances and the slot is used for someone different and preferablly new. It was nice to flesh out some background students in The Great Hall even if the faceprints could use some variety. I'm also now thinking Fred / George with mid legs could be a possibility. I really hope Wood isn't one if them seeing as his faceprint and hair combo have always been reuses and he's already in the wave with a better torso. Percy with a black version of Mr Weasley's hat from The Burrow would be cool.
  15. Yes I think you could be right, but I guess it could go either way. I'm thinking maybe a Luna, Cho, or Cedric from other houses even though they weren't introduced until later, but Lego does like to put them in anyway.
  16. I think it's ironic that in the promo images for The Great Hall set, Harry (in his Gryffindor robes) is holding the Philosopher's Stone and Quirrell is eyeing it. Clearly he couldn't wait to get his hands on it until they were in the underground challenges. Also, if we take the minifigures in The Great Hall and replace them with some of what we have seen, or can speculate, to know will be in The Main Tower, then I think it might only be students left we don't about. And I feel like the Gryffindor Common Room might be in the set as Nick seems to be in it and The Great Hall gave us the Far Friar with his House Common Room so I'm not sure if they'll give us all Gryffindor students or go for a mix like in The Great Hall. Quirrell = Quirrell again? Harry = plain clothes Harry Ron = plain clothes Ron Hermione = plain clothes Hermione Dumbledore = another Dumbledore? Vector = Kettleburn Fat Friar = Nearly Headless Nick Daphne = Parvati? Terry = Dean Thomas? Leanne = Neville (pyjamas would be cool, but probably not) Troll = Fluffy? + how many more minifigures for the extra $30 = maybe 2 = Percy, Angelina?
  17. It does seem odd that Quirrell is in The Great Hall set now. Sure the troll is in it, but he didn't have to be in there to do the whole 'troll in the dungeon' speech as Harry and Ron fighting the troll in the bathroom could be seen as the play intention for the troll minifigure. Leaving Quirrell out of a set with the Final Challenge in would seem more nonsensical though so it seems we may be getting a repeat. Helps them with budget I suppose.
  18. Exactly, although considering a teacher thought to be Kettleburn is sitting next to Sinistra at the Great Hall teachers' table in PS, I'm not sure why we discounted him really when they have included one background teacher in the last couple of main sets. I mean, granted, they haven't gone all in and given him a hat / hair piece which is a shame, but at the same time the fact that we are getting to this level of completionism is fun.
  19. I don't think they will do two main sets per movie, but they seem to be covering PS quite thoroughly almost like they are systematically working through before moving on. The Flying Lesson set being released as a standalone has felt a bit weird, but if it joins to the latest castle sets and they include the end challenges, then altogether with The Great Hall and classroom sets, PS is quite well covered. They have covered snippets of COS too with the Duelling Club and the upcoming Herbology, but they integrate quite nicely into these sets without much effort I think. The only outlier is the Owlery, but maybe that was an easy standalone set to work in at the start as it does standalone and not attach to the castle so it didn't need other sets to be released first to attach it to. I can see next year providing the COS, then the year after that a POA clocktower and then an Astronomy Tower could be likely after that. And whilst the end movies may not get a main section entirely each, it feels like they are trying to cover the movies well in terms of locations so I'm hoping things like Umbridge's Office won't get missed this time. Or maybe they really do just love the first movies and think they are connected with the castle more, but the recent Malfoy Manor set for instance gives me hope that the designers are thinking in terms of all the movies.
  20. I'm expecting something brickbuilt with molded heads. I think it kind of is more in the theme of Lego and the last one looked pretty good I think apart from them not recoluring the grey joints. That being said, I'm not opposed to a new mold either. I know they gave us the troll in The Great Hall, but I'm not sure Lego would spend the budget a new Fluffy mold when the heads are available. They could even go all brickbuilt like Wolf Jacob in the Twilight set and ditch the unique molds entirely. Yes, I said myself I thought Fluffy was likely to come with some castle set, but I think we mostly thought this section would include Dumbledore's Office and be COS themed, or maybe GOF or OOTP after that. Then again maybe Dumbledore's Office will still be included, and hopefully include Fawkes, and it will include a Dumbledore that could be seen as from either PS or COS unless maybe you are a collector or movie fan looking very hard as his outfits are all fairly similar. Or maybe Fawkes will be left for the COS set that must be inevitable. Either way, I'm really excited to see what we're getting. It almost feels like 2018 again.
  21. I'm liking Nick's new look. He's looking very dapper with that slicked back hair and ruff. The tower being PS is unexpected. If it means we are really fleshing out all locations and going through the films sequentially with larger sections then not only could this system be sticking around for a while, which I think it really needs to and stop all the rebooting, but we may actually get some better minifigures for later films in the end. Do we think Fluffy will be in the Main Tower or could that be the exclusive retail set? Having a large creature in a main set like last year's Troll in the Great Hall makes sense, but as much as I don't subscribe to price per piece exactly the $69.99 for 548 pieces might suggest some larger elements like Fluffy heads.
  22. They do these weird things though don't they. Create this new mould we all think is going to be used elsewhere and is perfect for another character etc and then it never sees the light of day again. I'd be surprised if we don't see it again though.
  23. Yeah, but they didn't wear the same costumes did they. I want accuracy for my money gosh darn it not reuses! Wonder if we'll get any of those new skirt pieces in Hogsmeade seeing as they all go to the same tailors?
