Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
doclord replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I'm very late on this but I wonder if we will continue to get Marvel street mini-modulars while DC gets the big modulars for a few years. Wasn't it rumored we will get a smaller Baxter Building? Daily Planet is almost a lock for next year and they could do the Hall of Justice after that. -

I have a feeling Sentry and Doom will be the standout figures, but I hope they show some love to the X-Men as well. -

Superheroes got very little budget this year. -
Yeah of all molds, Mihawk not getting a special hat is a little odd. In the most expensive set too.
-
I have the sneaking suspicion that aside from a few parts and ship/fig design changes (Nami hair) they are trying to make things look fairly close to the manga.
-
The Merry looks good, but I am not seeing the $100+. Funny how you can just swap the eyes on the figurehead and you get an Anime/Manga version.

I wonder how they will do Buggy's power? They don't usually break apart figures in marketing.

Miguel looks a bit chopped without his gauntlets, but I had a feeling they would just print it. The cape is a nice surprise, and the AI. -

It has to be both. I assume that: -

The new Andor head looks very good on Pedro Reed. Also, with the newest scoop on Spidey 4, we are going to get lots of discussions featuring a certain bigfig. -

Reed's hair and beard does not look sufficiently brown on the fig, IMO. I think the newest Strange hair will look fine. Agreed on the Jonesy head for Johnny. Anyone have suggestions to get rid of the "default woman" face they gave Susan? -

I'm loving the "Modular NYC" thing going on here and I hope they keep going, maybe expanding to Defenders somehow? -
I'm going to guess there's a playscale one coming next year with villains? Because it's a unique variant of Kilmer's suit and more of a display model, probably for the anniversary.

I think between the dogs and Cruella herself it's just a good merch movie? She's always showing up in Disney Villain merch and programs so I assume she just sells well. -

Really curious about what figures we'll get besides Cruella. Horace and Jasper or some of the dogs? -

Yeah I thought this was the Marvel lego set thread, not the MCU discussion general. -

After the What If sets flopped I don't think we're ever getting animated marvel lego again unless its snuck into a CMF (see: possibility of Spectacular Spider-man in the Spiderverse CMF) -
I don't think a mixup is out of the question here, a $100 movie batmobile with one figure doesn't make any sense unless there's a twist to it. Either an age rating or a gimmick we don't know about (remote control?)

minifiguremerc on instagram pointed out that the legs of the "comic ultron" are actually 1:1 the legs of AOU ultron. So if 1/3 of the figure exists he should be coming sooner than later. It's both funny and sad how many figures from the winter wave are cobbled together figbarf. At least Ultron looks good. -
I think it's very possible. It is hard to mistake the Schumacher for the BTAS batmobile.
-
I'm assuming there's more to the batmobile set on piece count alone, regardless of the leak. Also the batmobile in Forever doesn't really resemble BTAS. However... the Arkham batmobile does look closer to BTAS. That and the "Arkham compatible" thing have me curious.

I would also say that Moon Knight is one of those examples that's basically an entirely different character between the two versions. There's a few other examples in Marvel (see: White Tiger, of which there are several) where a comics version would make sense to do as you haven't scratched the itch properly. Though as these mini-modulars all seem to be spider-focused, spidercharacters and villains are likely going to come before the Avengers and the Defenders. i would love to be proven wrong however, an Avengers Mansion or comics Sanctum facade would be amazing. I feel like it means they WILL do that. Miles and Gwen from the Deli set both look like they are missing cmf prints. -

I think Beast will be a unique static mold as he doesn't fit bigfig, minifig or tallfig (Avatar, Jack) sizes. But it would be cool if they went with a bigfig for poseability. -

Random marvel buildings in a modular city is probably the only way we're going to get classic comic characters. Big fan of this approach. -
Forever and Batman & Robin are the only 3D Bat series where Arkham Asylum appears in any serious capacity besides the games. This unfortunately makes sense though they could've done a "Daily Bugle" with a Lego original design. I'm assuming they played it extremely safe due to the other movie sets selling well, and also Two Face and Mr Freeze would require big budgets for printing. Though if this is anything like the shadowbox, a high price point may not have any influence on the figures being good or not.
