  1. Thank you Ayrlego! All credits go to KB, it was his idea and all I did is to build it in real bricks. Unfortunately I had to substitute part of his work with my own pieces, the original one is much better. Thank upi Capt Wolf! I find the walls amazing too. It should have a tiles floor but we kind ran out of time when preparing our entry, sorry.
  2. Somewhere in New Terra, in Eltina to be precise, the local taverns and inns are suddenly crowded by seamen and marines of la Royale. This inflow of seamen is not unfamiliar to the residents of the town, each time when a naval vessel or a Terraman anchors at the bay, the sailors would always seek consolation in these establishments, but this time, the locals are suprised by their opulence, spending their doubloons like kings! However, not all of them prefer to throw their doubloons in taverns, some of them choiced to seek a moment of peace, for example to take a rest in the garden of the town, to have a walk with the lady, or to do some gardening. After a long voyage on sea, a marine rifleman takes here a well-deserved rest, an officer of la Royale talks about his latest inter-faction mission to a lady, and we can also see a dude doing some gardening behind the bushes. Misinformation He's hiding gold! Looks like someone has "made" a small fortune during the last voyage, and he's not ready to share it. But why hiding the gold in a garden? Maybe he doesn't know that the BOC is a safer place. Thanks for viewing. Vive le Roi!
  3. Thank you Capt Wolf. In fact there is nothing new in these ships, the building techniques are quite old I think. Glad you like it Faladrin! Don't worry, no one has fired during this encounter, the Oleander soliders obey to orders, but they are not crazy.
  4. Great build! It's also nice to see the Natives in security, they have suffered a lot from the recent Mardieran explorations.
  5. This is a big build, it shoud take you many hours to complete it, and the result is astonishing, I like the story and the assortment of minifigs, good job!
  6. Too funny! No one could expect that, a play ground.
  7. Nice story, those stingy Mardierans, we should ask them a fair amount of gold in exchange of our help. The three builds are amazing, I like the furniture and interior details of the first scene, the pyramid is imposing, wonderfully built, with tons of details, the abundance of vegetation and moss create a good effect of desolation. The fort is impressive, with dark red and white colour scheme, the cannons are huge, the illumination feature is a nice touch, it increases playability.
  8. He played his role very well then, I'll tell LaGaufre to keep an eye on him if he ever meets him.
  9. It's a long and interesting story, the reading was entertaining. The scenes are nicely built and I like these minifigs, the High Priestess Yisbeth fascinates me the most, with her wizard dress and fencing skill.
  10. This is the part 1 of our collab, the scene takes place apparently in a small Garvian tavern. 'There's no way those pesky yellow coats have gotten that far East already!', the bartender replied in an obviously shocked tone. 'Our navy is patrolling all over the Prio Sea. If what you claim is true... it can't be, nobody slips past a Garvian blockade!', he insisted. 'But I'm tellin' ya, I'm not ripping yarn here, heard it from a guy who's heard it in Kings Port himself.' The increasingly tipsy sailor felt he had to defend his reputation. 'That expedition must have reached its destination by now - And you know what they say about it, so may the Gods help us if the Marderians find that gold!' The bartender fell silent for a while, contemplating. 'If it exists' he then replied. 'If what exists?' 'The gold, the gold of course.' 'Ah, the gold, yes, the gold. Well, it has to exist, why wouldn't it exist, all the sailors East of Terraversa can't be wrong after all!' The bartender had to suppress a tiny chuckle, but then he went on: 'They'll never gonna believe me if I bring this up' 'Who isn't gonna believe what now?' 'The Admiralty, my dear lad, our Admiralty. Somebody has to report this to the authorities immediately - and it sure as hell can't be you, my drunk friend!' 'I'm not your friend, pal.' 'What?' 'What?' 'Nevermind, they'll just have to send out a vessel to intercept them - at least on their way back. They have to return eventually. And should they have found any gold - boom - our navy is going to take it from them. With their entire navy struggling to fight us and the Esland...andiandolans I doubt they could afford to have allocated sufficient naval resources to this expedition. I mean, how many ships could they have sent?!' 'Seven' the sailor replied, now being clearly drunk. 'No, it's a rhetorical question' 'Rhetorical, eh? Eight!' 'Do you even mean what rhetorical means?' 'Do I know what rhetorical means?' He then slipped right off the chair and immediately fell asleep on the floor. The bartender rolled his eyes, closed the bar, and hastened to into town. This was alarming news, those Marderians needed to be intercepted. And he was confident that they would be. Note for the judges: The story was added after the challenge deadline, so please disregard it in the judging process.
  11. Oh my eyes! I can't see anything! So much gold! Impressive built, most impressive is you did all these awesome works youself, you are like a one-man army.
  12. Gorgeous waterfall indeed, good work on the mountain, and is there an owl on the bank of the waterfall? Cool choice of minifigs, especially the native wearing redcoat torso.
  13. Glad you like my ships Garm! You've noticed the white plumes , I wasn't quite sure if it was a good idea to put so many of them along the hull, but at last, it looks not so bad. The colour scheme i draw inspiration from a ship model, representing a french vessel of late 17th or early 18th century, it has brown and blue hull and richly ornated walls, with white flower motifs.
  14. Eslandola Jones It's great to see the scenes of the movie built in lego. I like the end too, golden soldiers!
  15. Thank you Stig! Nay, the big ship hasn't got a name yet, I'll probably name her after a fearsome french adjective.
  16. That's a long story. I like your builds ,they are great! But this Sinbad, is he supposed to be the bad guy?
  17. The forest diorama is nice, I like the trees and the minifugs on the boats, redcoats, scientist and a highlander? The pyramid is impressive!
  18. Nice inn! I like these classic corner wall, shame I only have one of those. The interior is exquisitely decorated, with the blue dark blue and white tiles, just beautiful. Cool minifigs too.
  19. I see what you meant, the hull is indeed very flimsy, that's why I put it out reach of my son. If we take size as a criteria, I think my vessel is comparable to the example shown in class 1, maybe slightly larger, which I'm not sure. Right, that just gives me a pretext to build another 2F, with proper size.
  20. Thank you Legostone! I was still trying to figure out the old classes, now I'm completely lost with the newer ones.
  21. I own only one ship till now: Drakkar 2F, it should be a 1F according to the new classification?

  23. This collab is realized by Captain Genaro, Blackdeathgr and me. Here is the part of collab built by Captain Genaro: Amazing, the Mardierian officer thought. Had the native guide not pointed it out, he would completely missed the half overgrown stone, but now that he saw it, his imagination ran wild. The stone, more of a boulder really, was nearly the size of a man and despite cracks and weathering, had clearly been cut out by skilled stone masons. The overgrowth and weathering alone suggested that it predated any colonial settlements, but from what he had seen, the current natives lacked the means to quarry this block, much less move it any distance. CH V Entry by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr The native guide attempted to explain something about the stone with hand gestures, falling from the sky? No, that doesn't make sense, the officer thought. Or is he trying to tell us to rest? But before the Mardierian officer could interpret the gestures, he heard shouting followed by a thud, splash, and screams of terror. Immediately, he turned his head towards the commotion and saw the head and upper torso of one of the adventurers bobbing amid the torrent. Another man lay at the officer's feet, struggling to get up, and with a massive chest sitting precariously close to being washed away by the stream. On the opposite bank, men shouted at the poor soul to swim, keep his head up, grab onto something, head for the bank, just do something until we can help you, but all their shouting was in vain. The officer, though he had seen his share of violence and death, simply stood there stunned by the result. To think the adventure had gone so well up to this point, not a single man lost and an alliance with the natives. But alas, in his haste to reach his goal and avoid the Garvian frigate, he had decided to take the most direct route regardless of the risks. Sure, the stream was narrow, but it moved too fast and was mostly too deep to be forded. A bridge wouldn't take more than a few hours to construct, but the Oleanders couldn't be kept waiting. Any delay on his part and the ship-of-the-line captain might decide to abandon their deal and return to his patrols. And now, as a result of his haste, as a result of his greed for gold, a man had died. CH V Entry by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr While the officer stood there stunned, the rest of the men recovered. The shouting soon stopped, the roar of rushing water drowning out the prayers mumbled by the men as they quietly blessed their selves before fortifying their selves to continue on their journey to the coast. CH V Entry by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr "Shall we continue, sir," the soldier on the near bank asked. "Sir?" he repeated as the officer remained in his stunned state. "Oh, yes, yes, very good. As you were," the officer muttered seemingly to no one in particular. The soldier eyed the officer who seemed unaware of anything that was happening around him, and then began shouting orders for the men to continue and to watch their damn step lest they want to become the next sacrifice to the river nymph. CH V Entry by Capt. Genaro, on Flickr Here is my part of collab (recognizable by the bad photo quality): On a bright and sunny day, a Garvian frigate cruises in the vicinity of Tema Hiva (rumours say a city of gold was discovered on this island). The ship, the Ugly Duckling, The Lion of Garvey, is a newly commissioned 6th rater (or class 5 in the universe of BoBS), pride of her captain. On this cruise, the captain must fulfill one mission, intercept the Mardierian vessel carrying the gold discovered on the soil of natives. The captain of the Lion of Garvey was very confident of the success of his mission, knowing Mardierians have lost most of their ships in the battle of five fleets. But it seems he has neglected one detail, the Blues are not in war against Mardier and their fleet is intact. So, on this shinny day, the watch of Lion of Garvey was surprised by a big bowsprit pointing at their six. - Captain, ship on our six! - Can you identify her? - Nay, sir, but she's a two-decker! - It must be Margot, our Eslandolan friends are trustworthy lads. - Sir! She is arboring a Fleur de lys on the bow castle! - What??!!! Impossible!!!! - What should we do captain? She's gaining rapidly on us! The garvian seamen aren't mistaken, she's indeed an Oleander ship of the line, built in urgence by the Royal Shipyard and arrived in time to the rendez-vous point. The Mardierian exploration team, although lost one of their men in the haste, finally managed to plow a path through the jungle and loaded the gold aboard. There, the gold is placed under the custody of a Mardierian colonel, who will make sure that the gold reaches safely its destination. The Oleanders are well aware of the importance of the cargo, therefore, they've despatched a SOTL carrying 60 guns. This is her maiden voyage and some Oleander dignitaries and ship experts are onboard to evaluate her sailing ability and supervise the loading and unloading of the gold. - Captain! They are opening the gunports, what is your order, sir! - Hum, humhum, heu, rehum... - Sir! - Lay down your weapons, lads! We can't fight a sotl at this distance. - Farewell Garvies! The Mardierian officer on the stern waves at them and says in smiling. Extra pictures of the ships: Thank you for viewing!
  24. Thank you Bregir, great writing! Glad to see the tiny Drakkar managed to make its way home. I was a little worried for them, and I presume the able seaman, Mr. Sasquatch played a crucial role in outrunning the pirates.
  25. Nice built! Very inspiring work. The story is pleasant to read too.
