Great build! The foundry looks great and the scenes represemting the manufacture process are very convincing, and instructive. And yes, it's quite unusualy to see cuirassiers in the tropics, with their heavy plastrons, they should suffer even more in the tropics.

Seems you have introduced a new beverage in your colonny, I like these small scenes depicting the daily life of our minifigs.

I like the boat on the roof, and the photos turned out fine!

Using black plates to represent the destroyed house is a good idea, and it's very well thought to include a pic of the house before its destruction.

[OL - FB] Celeste DuprΓ© pens a letter
Bodi replied to Ross Fisher's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Monsieur Guérin, I learned from our common friend, madame la duchesse de Dupré that there is some discontent about young Pierre's rank. Or more precisely the title of "chevalier de la chasse", monsieur, I'm afraid that there should be some misunderstanding. First, the knighthood has never been considered as a rank, but an honorific title awarded to those who have contributed actively to the glory of our empire. You should regard it as an honour, rather than an insult. The recent accomplishment of Padre François has gained him the favour of the court and we'll be more than pleased if he could pay us a visit, to discuss his ecclesiastic advancement, and the granting of an appropriate rank to monsieur Pierre. Cordially, Duc d'Ablette, le ministre des colonnies PS: You may affix your family's crest in your signature if you so wish. -
I prefer to interpret this misappropriation of Oleon uniform as a sign of allegiance to our crown.

Thank you, Roadmonkeytj. Non, c'est encore mieux en vrai. Glad you like it, before using cones, I've tried to build a more elaborate roof with plates, and I failed so I had to try an easier way.

A nicely done festival scene.

Fantastic build, I like how the house is filled with details, and it looks great from the outside as well, the knob on the door is very clever. And I wonder why Mr. Smith is wearing an Oleonder uniform.

Hope I haven't stretched the rule too far with this "on a boat" category. Maybe that ninja was spying for the far away empire, beware of your treasure maps. Glad you like it. The cones are supposed to represent the round tiles commonly seen on ancient Chinese buildings, I think 1x1 round studs may have worked too.

The oktober feast is nearing its end, people had good time drinking and playing, in their euphory, they had noticed a new presence on the dock of Weelond. A strange looking, painted in red, with odd patterns and characters. And the men in this boat thingy don't speak Eslandian, but this lack of linguistic communication was easily overcame by the exotic beverage and food. While people were having good time, a suspicious figure climbed on board, let's hope he's here for the fine food. @Capt Wolf You may license this build as a small (or medium) property, I know the main build is a boat, but this is a painted pleasure barge, usually it's moored in permanence, it doesn't have any means of propulsion, except a rudder to steer the barge when it drifts down the river.

Great custom hull, and good job with the figure head, I like it.

The new house looks very good, I like the colour combo and the lion head ornaments, and the furnished interior. It's also good to see Acropolis getting some attention.

Thanks mate. The stern slope is of simple construction, just a pair of hinges holding the plates in place.
-
This is stunning, you have built the entire settlement on your own, impressive work, chapeau bas. I love all the buildings and mostly the monastry positionned at an angle. I'm a little worried for the searats treasure hunting team, as their Corrish counterparts seem to be better armed.

Hilarious story and great use of parts, such as the transparent slopes and the curved tubes.

Thank you Capt Wolf. The color is a pure coincidence, I've ordered some blue flags on the net and wanted to try how they look with the commonly used yellow strip.

Very funny, it's a class 5 boat. The prefabs can be served as a good base for medium sized ships, I prefer to keep the lower parts and get ride of the upper parts if I want to build something more realistic, since lower + upper parts may make the ship to appear out of proportion, KB has told this to me in the past but I only realized what he actually meant recently. And you only say this now, hard to dust off with all these threads. Glad you have noticed these details, Kwatchi, and the eye/blocks method in fact comes from Sebeus I, I've saw it for the first time on his Dancing Ember.

The recent upgrowth of black flag fleet, composed of all sort of dinghies and drift woods cramped with adventurers and opportunists, is menacing the safety of honest merchantmen. Facing this new menace, no, not really a menace, nothing can defy the superiority of Oleander navy, we prefer to qualify it as a small inconvenient, which needs to be treated consequently, with minor force if possible. Therefore, fast sailing ships are needed, of smaller tonnage and lighter construction, vessels like sloops and brigs are more adapted to anti-piracy task, and we could spare our precious Sotl from routine convoy duty. Side view of la Sentinelle, as you can see, it's a 16-gun brig. She was built a couple of months ago, I wasn't able to post it in time because I didn't have time to take pictures. Thank you for viewing. Vive le Roi!

[OL - A-MCRA] Travels to Terraversa
Bodi replied to Captain Genaro's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Meanwhile, at Westface. The small fleet still hasn't lifted anchor, despite the discontent of local authorities. But this state of inactivity is about to change, since the Oleander seamen are roaming in the street of the small harbour city, seemingly looking for provisions, is this a sign of departure? At the back of this procurement team, were two senior officers, Capitaine Greybeard Albert and Capitaine Redbeard Romeo, who were exchanging their points of view about this expedition, when suddenly Romeo exclaimed, "We can't return home empty handed!" Albert, knowing his colleague for his impulsive temper, replied sceptically, "raiding the port office or bombing the local garrison?" "No, souvenirs, we must buy some souvenirs for our family, here, voila a toy shop, let's get a tour inside."
