  1. Hot damn well if retailers wont be stocking the SC looks like I will only be picking up one
  2. DC and Marvel sets in general have been weak, the main draw card will always be the mini-figures and as long as LEGO keeps pumping out new and unique superheroes the majority of us will be happy
  3. Haven't seen anyone stock those cases in a long time
  4. impressive young ritz, worth of a fight vs my tusken army
  5. keen on tc4 please pm price and ship to Australia, cheers
  6. To be honest given the limited aspect of the figure you may reconsider offering multiples to one person as given the huge interest some people are going to miss out
  7. No one is twisting your arm to buy barons instructions so why the concern. I have had many people ask me instructions for 'Dewie' but for one I can't be bothered making instructions and second I like to keep it as a unique MOC in my collection that other people don't have so instead of all the negative opinions think of it as a privelage to be able to get instructions for some of barons beautiful MOCs. Also the OP could have been a bit more descrete if selling the model was his intention, instead of making this thread could have posted on eBay and avoided all this commotion, to me it comes across as a bit of a slap in barons face. I'd say it's about time admins lock this.
  8. Stop building and leave em in the box until you find more space. We get a lot of dust here in OZ so I don't have any LEGO outside of a display cabinet or case.
  9. Yes I would like 1x please, I am paypal ready, PM me for details cheers
  10. What are you a lawyer? I have bought barons MOC instructions in the past and grateful for it and baffles me why in the first place someone would bother reselling any of his creations. If there was any real value I'm sure baron wouldn't be offering his instructions to the public and sell the models himself. Baron is a respected member of the MOCn community and if he is kind enough to offer up his creations for a small fee then in return people should respect his conditions. We are talking ethics here, you can't just take someones unique design without permission and try to sell it off for your own benefit. Seriously put away the fancy law talk, this is a LEGO fan forum, not the supreme court.
  11. Big fan of the tumbler, you have done a nice one there and neat little diorama
  12. I agree, 2-3 lines doesn't warrant any sort of significance to include a mini-figure in the set. The scene would have taken the same course even if Aunt Beru was not in it.
  13. You misinterpreted my comment, I would pay extra for a SC that 'looks like' the CUSSOO version, not wanting the exact CUSSOO SC. Essentially what I meant is maintaining the same scale and size as what we are getting but being brick built and more accurate looking, not plates and exposed studs.
  14. It's hard to see a kid just stroll into a shop and drop 299 on a LEGO set, but in saying that theres enough play features incorporated that suggests the SC is not exclusive to just AFOLs. Its not the UCS type of set we have been accustomed to in the past, it seems LEGO is moving this particular UCS out of that 'exclusive' club to appeal/cover more of the market. So we end up with a UCS/Playset hybrid. Personally I would have been more than happy to pay 100 more for a no nonsense SC that looked more like the CUSSOO version with PF and just a couple of Jawas thrown in for novelty, but i can't speak for everyone, it is what it is.
  15. Well of course you are comparing to a set nearly 10 years old, any re-release is bound to be an improvement over the old one. We should be judging this latest effort against what it is replicating, that being this and this The proportions and shape of the new SC looks fine, what looks off to me is the aesthetic treatment to the surface. seeing all the exposed studs and randomly placed smooth plates is an eyesore and the overall finish comes across as a first time MOC. To me a brick built SC would have been a better result though I suspect the designers decided to take the easy route by using plates to overcome the complicated surface angles. Its for that reason I have also attached the CUSSOO SC because in my opinion that SC is 99.9% as good as a LEGO built SC is ever going to get and the new SC falls flat on its face in comparison especially in the surface finish. So despite the old set 10144 being less accurate in overall shape, to me the finish is more accurate and pleasing than the one we will be getting this year. The minifigure lineup is exactly what you would expect as a bare minimum based on the movie scene and overall quite unimaginative. Obviously we are getting Jawas and other than Uncle Owen and the 'unique' droids, the rest are forgettable. As irrelevant as Aunt Beru is to the scene, including her would have given a little spice to that minifigure lineup and for those counting on Tuskens and Banthas, all I can say is 'I told you so'. Regardless of those criticisms I will be picking one up and maybe two if they go on sale, can't wait
  16. I see the BOGO works out at 25% discount, not enough for me to start going on a wild spending spree, hardly tickles the prices of the bigger sets
