  1. If I'm building with my son, then I'm on the floor. However, being 6'7", my back can't take that for very long. For any larger set that I'm working on, I have to be up at a table with proper back support (back cushion). I suffer from mild scoliosis, so if I don't take proper precautions, then I'll feel it the next day in a bad way.
  2. I turned 30 this year and got a couple of sets for my birthday. I don't usually have any sort of a party, but my wife wanted to have as many of my friends together as possible to celebrate. My immediate family were the ones who gifted me the Lego. Admittedly, there were some strange looks I got from friends. But hey, it's my birthday! I've only just gotten back into Lego in the last 12 months. For me it is a creative and therapeutic outlet. It allows my brain time to relax and try new things. It also creates fun family time. Even my wife loves sitting down with my son and daughter and trying to come up with new things. 3, 30, or 103, I don't think age matters!
  3. I've been eyeing a lot of modular mods which mirror sets and have been wondering the best course of action. I think my brain would get too easily confused if I tried going that route. Maybe the next set I build I'll practice a bit.
  4. I had some spare room in my last cup and ended up fitting quite a few pairs of these in.
  5. I think this is absolutely brilliant!
  6. Hello Eurobricks! I've recently come back to the wonderful world of Lego after many many years of being away. My son, now nearly 5, fell in love with Lego early last year. We've had fun the last several months starting to build our collection of sets and bulk bricks, albeit a slow process. Me being one for online communities, I decided to venture out to see what other like-minded individuals were talking about and building. I ran into this as well as a couple of other sites to quell my growing curiosity. I figured it was about time to be a part of the community instead of lurking in the shadows of the inter-webs. So, here I am! In the short time I've been back, I've developed a love for Modulars (though I currently own none...), Star Wars, City, and Ideas themes. Though let's be honest, I'd gladly build any set/theme! I've also found my way into buying and selling fairly quickly as the way to fund my growing hobby. I decided early that, as much as I may love Lego and want to buy every set I see, I simply can't afford to spend other budgeted money...so, there you have it. I haven't gone as far as to start a Bricklink store, but will likely consider it over the next year. I look forward to reading, learning, and hopefully contributing!
  7. My first test post. I've been on Brickset Forums for a bit now and wanting to expand my exposure to this community I've been lurking in for awhile!
