I got an e-mail a couple of days ago warning me to prepare myself for the 5000 piece beastie's arrival - It's not been dispatched yet. They've notified me that credit card authorisation has happened but that no funds will be taken until the Falcon is dispatched. five long months of waiting for the falcon to arrive - hardly the kessel run but it's nearly here - HOORAY! X-D

Finished building it last night - TOPS! I was a little cheesed at the naff box and inconvenience of two books though... but that's all peripheral stuff in the grand scheme of things.

*yoda* I guess you knew there'd be agreement ffrom me. I have to say, beautiful rebels? yes please! *wub* ...and Leia *wub* ...and stormies X-D ...and R2 & 3PO (again) ...and Capt. Antilles ...and yes... *vader* A thought occurs though... couldn't we have EPIII and IV with a simple set of additional bricks (and bail organa & *yoda* mini-figs of course...) I'm thinking a real special kind of set.

I'm really chuffed that this simple little idea has been greeted with such enthusiasm. Of all my mocs, this has had the most posting on the web. I think V-dub campers are awesome and decided to do a whole retro thing... I had no idea it would generate the attention it has. Thanks for all the kind comments!

I heard that there were a few given away as prizes at the recent "celebration" expo, these were supposedly some of the early numbered ones... I think I got that from the celebration website or something like it... well, either that or I dreamed it!

It's got to be a classic revival! Blue & Grey and the old moon logo! I'd love to see official reworkings of 918, 920, 924, 928! (I'd love to see re-releases of them too, as part of a LEGO limited edition "VINTAGE" theme!) I get all dewy-eyed when I think back to those late 70's sets!

The 7665 Republic Cruiser that I've just managed to obtain (albeit with the Obi-Wan head not the Qui-Gonn - an experience shared with many here!) makes me convinced that a Rebel Blockade runner in Mini-fig scale is a distinct possibility. Roughly the dimensions of the Republic Cruiser... opens up to reveal a central corridor with rebels, stormies and vader. One side has Leia and R2 (I WANT THOSE PLANS!) the other side has an escape pod! I believe the phrase I'm looking for is: REBEL BLOCKADE RUNNER ON!

I've absolutely no idea but a guess would probably be around 1500, I've taken it apart, didn't do any instructions, or counting or taking vital statistics... I needed those parts back in play! You've made me blush... :-$ *sweet* :-$

I think I owe you good people a big apology - I did this before I was a member here and I remember seeing a lot of confusion over my "box-mock-up" - I just did it as a bit of fun for the FBTB UCS competition. Incidentally the IRON GIANT and VW camper on my Brickshelf caused similar confusion elsewhere, despite the deliberate inconsistencies I tried to put into my pics! So, to anyone who feels hoodwinked or tricked by me... SORRY!! :-$ Oh, and Sinner, I'm touched that you like my Grievous... Thanks! :-)

Yup... that's what I was I was getting at, just better explained! It'd also be nice if they did the set and included in a "playset" kind of way - Nein-Numb and Lando, so you can do the ROTJ bit, just take off the radar dish - add those guys in the cockpit... "Wahooo!" I'd like them to include a nice black base plate like the old space landing plates but decotated with white stripes (deathstar styled). I'd be willing to pay quite a bit for that sort of playability in a larger set!

Yay!!! Little golden mini-fig made his appearance yesterday in the post... came from the same Langenhagen address as posted above. So, if you won one, they've reached the UK now!

Even though we are about to be spoilt by the UCS Millenium Falcon... I'd like to see another smaller version akin to the 7190 or the 4504 with better internals so that there is a walkway into the cockpit and smuggling compartments. I'd also like to see them do Anakin's pod racer again. Actually I'd like to see a whole range of pod racers. (those sets could be very good for parts if there was enough greebling!)

I'd still like to see a poll... Please. I think it might be nice to have more entries though, possibly open it out to people who'd still like to have a go at another vig contest. Maybe give them another fortnight or something? If no-one "seconds" the desire for a poll - I'll shut up and go sit on my own.

OMG! I think I'm going to have to beg, plead and pick up all the copper coloured coins I see... After this year's sets that are already slated... the UCS falcon etc. etc. How the hell am I going to afford this definite need! In the 'other place' they are speculating on a 120-130 euro price point - I doubt that this "little" beauty will slip in under 150! The motorized bit will make that RRP soar! think how much the creator dino is...

I'm not sure about the set ideas... Golden fertility thing and boulder, yes... There are a few sets that seem to make sense, but once the fourth movie is out - what then? Where are the onward opportunities? I love the Indi figure but I'm not sure what else they can really achieve long-term with this. In a similar way I think it's why Superman would never really work for Lego despite how awsome the mini-fig is/would be! (I'd love a future Batman set to include Superman though)

Actually, don't answer this - It's the same treatment europe always recieves and there will be the same objections/comments from both sides in response... I'm just going to bite the bullet and try to find a way to import them!

For me the essential issue hasn't been raised here before, it's that there isn't a universal rule that applies to all set pricing. How can one licensed set take account of exchange rates, yet another license does not? Jedi Hyper-ring $49.99 (US)
