Lego requested that something I did eons ago be taken down from mocpages - pointless really as it's still ALL OVER the web - and on my BRICKSHELF - including instructions! ...anyone wanting a cheap alternative to this set need look no further - please have, take, gratis, free, without charge :-) They didn't ask me btw - they got the owner of mocpages to do it, then he sent me an admittedly apologetic e-mail saying they'd requested it be removed... It's only the pack mock-ups though - which explains it a bit more I think, still, it seemed really petty and small-minded to me... Especially considering that it's been viral around the web for as long as it's been out there - totally pointless exercise that makes me think poorly of TLC.

Some of those new parts look great, I just hope they turn up in other sets/themes!

Yeah, that was my first port of call - they were really cool, they even searched other places for me! Unfortunately, the stickers are no longer in stock and so that's it. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I know this is a very old problem, but for various reasons, I've only just discovered it. Annoyingly, I have the wrong sticker with my UCS Falcon - stating "12 Quad Cannons". Obviously I don't want to apply that to the display stand... I've checked with Lego customer services but unsurprisingly, they don't have the correct sticker left in stock. I've already applied the control stickers, invalidating my warranty as-it-were! So now I have a valueless alternate with the wrong wording, grrr! Simply put, I'm after the "2 Quad" variety so I can finish my model. I can't offer much in the way of recompense - certainly not Bricklink prices... I wondered, if someone has a spare of the sticker would they part with it for P&P? I'll consider trading a mini-fig or two for it, but in the end it's just a sticker and IMO not worth that much compared with actual Lego pieces... obviously I'm old enough to understand supply and demand, hence the mini-fig concession. I hope someone in the AFOL community will have a spare - or know where I could locate one... where else would all those surplus ones have gone from "lego service"? Please feel free to PM me with an offer if you can help...

I think it's a great way to provide useful feedback, the incentive isn't really my reason for doing it. I try to provide fair criticism of the set and that often includes the continued trend for stickers over printed elements! I've never won anything, the odds of winning are probably terrible, I have wondered if there's some sort of age filter for the AFOL...

I've had another attempt at revamping the classic space 918 ^click image for gallery I've tried this before here when I tried the 928 and 924 at the same time... I'm not sure how successful I've been - I guess I just feel you cannot improve the sheer beauty of 918!

I'm so fickle, a couple of weeks ago, all I wanted was a REBEL BLOCKADE RUNNER... But now, that news of the 10188 deathstar (not UCS) thing that's been bandied about all over the net makes me just want the deathstar! I'm holding out hope for: a black base plate in the hanger. han and luke in stormtrooper guise. garbage compactor with moving walls. obi-wan at the sheild generator. cell block with interogation droid. more storm troopers and imperials than you can shake a lightsaber at! I don't really care what format it takes - cloud city style, whatever, just bring it to me!
