  1. So, lets discuss how the tracks are going to be powered, we have two options: a) hub & motors in superstructure, 2 axles through turntable b) hub & motors in undercarrige, slewing in undercarrige as well But there is more to it: 1) Direct drive - each motor drives it own track 2) Substractor So what is your guess? The model is big enough to feature A) + 2), but I'm afraid we will see more basic configuration. Could be nice mod though.
  2. I guess only the "railing" is 17 studs wide, whole truck should be 15 wide, it would'n look good. I'm not really fond of such solution, real trucks don't have such high walls at all and it looks too bulk. It is very easy to make such railing without widening the bed, just use 3,18mm bars, clips and rigid tubbing. It would look better, more realistic and would use much less plastic, providing room elsewhere on the model.
  3. that is usual placeholder used for many years
  4. You are correct that 450€ is not that much compared to other near-or-far related hobbies. Take for example die cast models. The medium ones are easily 450+ and it is accepted price in the comunity. The novelty here is that such price point is among first for lego, while lego is still percieved as toy maker for kids, not a maker of collectibles for adults (in general view, ofc not here). TLG is trying to move there but it will take time. I wonder if this set will be in catalogue, maybe it will be only D2C
  5. What I don't like is the advised size of the new BB/hub, it goes straight into opposite direction making electronics smaller. I mean look at every modern electronic device, tool or toy. Everything is running on lithium batteries, even the cheapest stuff. Here we have the most expensive toy on market loaded with obsolete AA batteries and hub sized at least double of buwizz.
  6. they are already available on brick and pieces for about 1€/pc, I guess they will show on BL for similar price soon
  7. I don't think so, I would say they stick with "official" Liebherr colors - DBG + white. The price is out of this space, 450€ lol
  8. That LA body is ~11 studs long + mount, that is very nice. The bucket is single piece
  9. B&P are back online and various 2019 parts are already there, woo! For example pin with pinhole in white (15100 from Porsche) \\oh my, big sprockets from tracked racer are also there, also the prices seems lower than usualy, this is better than christmas \\YELLOW #2 CONNECTOR IN STOCK \\ general tips: 15100 - first available in blue and white, awfully expensive on BL 32291 - in white, long time since its last appearance 22961 - in black, new recolor, BL price is usually higher 24119 - in white, new recolor 43857 - in white, recolor from 2018, still quite rare on BL 42529 - big sprocket 64683 + 64391 - panels 3+4 in dbg, new recolor 42531 - fenders from Corvette 11478 - in white, new recolor 35186 - new drive ring extension - HUGE price drop 35188 - new wave selector, HUGE price drop enjoy
  10. I'm not impressed so far, I would like to see the rest of the entries that were not selected
  11. Sooo, it was quicker than expected, here it is: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ttu5sF8GB6yf-VWw2HMFu_awwUXtrDNf/view?usp=sharing An entry on rebrickable will be available soon. I have made several minor changes, mostly to save some part, use more common one or to make some assembly easier to build or to fit. Have fun edit: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-21317/Ivan_M/ah-77-hunter-helicopter/#comments
  12. For the bigger thread no. You can also drive them by wheel(s) with tire, motorcycle wheels are usually used when you need very large wheel, it is necessary to have narrow tire. You can also use smaller thread, it can be driven by any spur gear (16,24,40, 56 turntable). 8T gear fits as well, but it is too small to wrap the thread around it. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?id=741#T=C&C=11
  13. DBG with black is indeed very nice and possible to build: 1546803591m_Copy There are also #3 and #4 panels in DBG already so the only panels missing in DBG are 1,2 and 5,6
  14. Thank you. I took AW169 apart long ago, I do not keep models build at all. The biggest difference is of course placement of flight controls, on AW169 it is very handy and you can play with it more easily. Here on Hunter it is more accurate to real helicopter with stick in cabin. I have enjoyed both very much
  15. I have finished physical build, it is very nice model. Give me week or two to make instructions
  16. Wow you are fast, I will take a look and start with stepped build
  17. I'm total sucker for your builds so in that case i wouldn't resist making instructions again
  18. Hmm, might be the case, I don't really remember, maybe I have used different cable first, damaging it
  19. I have bought "crawler" https://www.gearbest.com/block-toys/pp_009464151272.html?wid=1433363 when it was for 30€. It arrived in ~2 weeks, labeled with price 20€ so I didn't had to pay any customs or tax. The servo and L motors behave exactly like TLG, servo can make steps when hooked on IR receiver and controlled by train controller. So far very good. However the battery was unable to charge straight out of the box, I was only able to check that it works thanks to small left over power from factory, then it was useless. Well, such things happen, even to TLG so I do not make any hasty assumptions. What striked me as more interesting are some parts, there are some of them nowhere to seen at TLG: 3,4,5,7 & 9 long beams with alternating holes, OMG, such parts are my dreams come true! There are also some nice recolours like black shocks, black dog bone, etc. I was quite surprised how well is everything fitting, clutch power is stronger, sometimes too much. The design of the crawler is however subpar and I have build it only to test the parts.
  20. I think dozer is very good guess, I think it will introduce PUP into technic - new BB with PUP port, something like IR reciever with two chanells, 2 L motors with PUP connectors. It will feature gearbox similar to 42070 - switch between drive and blade operation, rear ripper will be manual. Parts wise it will be less than 2000, I would say around 1600, of course yellow, price wise RRP 220€+-10€
  21. Wow, nice. That lifting feature is killing me, I have build the third sprayer from the last year's gang and I had spend a lot of time on lifting, but I had failed and considered it "impossible". How wrong I was! it is working like a charm here. I also like your approach to drive.
  22. 2H sets from 2018 leaked in December 2017, but given how well TLG protected 1H 2019 I wouldn't expect any information till much, much later
  23. One more thing - Vette is fitted with wheels 43x14 with smooth pattern - ie from London bus, it is nice to see them in new set, they are quite expensive on BL
  24. now my hopes for yellow #5 and #6 panels are in vein, WHY the hell they use all yellow sticker over black panel
  25. There is black BWE ring used as front bumper on Porsche, so it means it is ~25 studs wide. I also think there is white pin with pinhole (15100) on it. The rear mirrors are a little bit blury, but maybe there is 32291 in white?
