  1. Unless the series gets a feature-length film, I have little hope for a line of Adventure Time Lego sets. However, I do think a collectible minifigure series would do well if they ever released one.
  2. Here's a more detailed look:
  3. I wonder why the Brick Show got the exclusive? I didn't see Minecraft reported on by any other Lego news outlet, and usually there are videos from other publishers that have the floor person walk them through the features of the model. I'm sure one will surface soon enough, but I really want to see the Ocean Monument interior! I'll be picking up that crafting box for the horse alone.. too bad the price shot up $10 for what doesn't appear to be more than the original. But still totally worth it for someone who didn't get the fortress and has no plans to. The Ocean Monument is quite massive, but it's a bit clunky (Also $120). And I guess I'm unimpressed with their sea lanterns, but what else were they really going to do besides use a glow-in-the-dark brick? But the interior could really add to the value of this thing, which so far is only in the mobs and enchanted armor.
  4. No problem ;) I dunno what's going to be presented at New York Toy Fair tomorrow, but hopefully we get to see the summer sets. I'd be happy if we got a glimpse of the minifigs and mobs at very least. I think a squid would fit perfectly into the monument set, but we'll just have to wait and see. The only distinct feature of caves beneath mountains is emeralds - emerald ore only generates in extreme hills biomes. Then again, this Secret Waterfall Escape totally surprised me, so who knows what's in store for this Mountain Cave set.
  5. Also, in case anyone hasn't seen over on Brickset, three sets for the summer wave have been listed: 21135 - The Crafting Box 2.0 21136 - The Ocean Monument 21137 - The Mountain Cave My thoughts upon hearing the names: Another crafting box could be cool, it all depends on what goodies it has to offer.. The Ocean Monument was an unexpected surprise, but a welcome one! I can't wait to see how the Guardians are done! And, after seeing the new pieces used for minecart rails in The Nether Railway, I think I know why the set The Mine was discontinued so quickly. I'm gonna guess The Mountain Cave will introduce more rails and replace the original mine and probably feature a snowy surface and some emeralds to mine within the cave.
  6. Thanks! Though it was really only due to my computer issues that I didn't see it when I last posted. I'm actually an avid follower of JANG's channel haha. And since seeing it, the set has really won me over. Completely closed, four doors, two beds, a tame cat and an anvil, plus it's easily reconfigurable - what's not to love? I'll be picking it up for sure, but like all the Minecraft sets released so far, I'll be waiting for a decent sale first. (Even though the price per part ratio is good as it is on this one, my Lego budget ain't huge ahaha)
  7. Thanks for sharing you guys! I had some connectivity issues recently and just had my internet access restored.. Time to catch up! Can't wait to see what the waterfall base has in store..
  8. Thanks for the heads up! I was waiting to see more pictures of the sets' interiors and details. This may be my favorite Minecraft wave to date. Here's the comment I'm referring to. If you just go to the Smyth's website and look under the Lego Minecraft section, you'll find the pics.
  9. I'm with you on that! This makes perfect sense to me.
  10. Oh Jedi Bob haha, bringing back memories.. was he a master or a knight? Haha And you can't forget the classic Hoth rebel with red emo hair! Awesome MOC all in all! The two guys above me pretty much took the words from my mouth. I love the retro vibe and you blended those scenes together really well. I don't think there's a single transition from scene to scene that feels forced or too abrupt, it all rolls together real smooth. Well done! I, too, look forward to seeing more in the future. Cheers!
  11. That witch is a must-own for Lego/ Minecraft fans! Fingers still crossed we get another variant of villager in the yet-to-be-revealed summer sets.. We need inexpensive access to villagers pronto.
  12. ^ I agree. Let's all hope his round body gets a festive new paint job, say to resemble a tree ornament. I could probably get behind something like that.
  13. Ah yes, I've seen quite a few members on here sing Bluerender's praises. I suppose it's worth a try then. Thanks!
  14. Very well done! I'm thoroughly enjoying this build and I think you really brought that inexpensive little set to life! It's so much more functional and filled out. Would you recommend the program named in your pics to render LDD models? I just downloaded LDD last night for the first time and I'm really eager to render my first creation. Any tips or tricks will be greatly appreciated! Cheers!
  15. ^ Yeah, seriously! Is santa-capped, snowboarding BB-8 really supposed to be our holiday-themed exclusive? I sincerely hope not..
  16. I agree, as of today I think only very minor adjustments could be made to the Ewok Village set to "improve" it.. It's just, with the Sandcrawler, Death Star, Snowspeeder and now rumored Millennium Falcon remakes, does it not seem probable that Lego would just re-release it like the rest anyway?.. Eventually.
  17. Anyone else notice that the Ewok Village set is filed under retired sets in North America? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do not remember ever seeing the "Retiring Soon" label put on the product to let consumers know it was going. With Carrie Fisher passing I was considering picking the set up using VIP points to pad the cost, primarily for that superb Leia fig. What do you all think are the odds of Lego re-releasing the village?
  18. Yes yes yes! Haha I agree entirely, that was literally my first thought.
  19. Stoked off your avatar, I did some clicking, happened upon this thread and I'm really happy that I did. I had no idea about this contest, but now I'm seriously considering throwing my hat in the ring. So first off, thanks for the heads up! Secondly, I'm a huge fan of your Key-per model and think as is it would look flawless beside the official Adventure Time brick-built figures. A Mannish Man with Enchiridion book as a prop would be the perfect complement, although making that manly minotaur sounds truly challenging! I'm also really diggin' your King Worm and Sue Strong builds. All of these models stand a chance I think! Good Luck, brother! EDIT: Just had to add that Flame Princess' hair could not be crafted better in Lego bricks, superb shaping!
  20. Yep, that was my thought, which is a huge eye roller.. Round two for the Ithorian head mold and it's in another ship from some side project that is wholly uninteresting to me.
  21. Couldn't have said it better myself. I agree 100 percent.
  22. Being one of my favorite animated series, I was thrilled to see this ideas set get the go ahead. I'm glad it also opened the door for fans to get minifigures of certain characters through dimensions. Unfortunately, with the tv series ending in 2018, unless there's a much-hyped, feature-length film hitting theaters sometime around then that Lego can capitalize on, I can't see this license becoming a regular theme with sets containing minifigs and the like. But glob knows I'd buy any Lego Adventure Times sets that get produced. Such a wonderful show with so many lovable and colorful characters. Bummer CM4Sci is gone, but it's nice he was wrong about BMO's feet. The brick show video confirms they aren't printed like the eye pieces. But as pointed out, that nice piece made its way to b&p anyway.
  23. Good eyes! I'm personally relieved to see the magma cube has a non-spring form, but I wonder how it's constructed. As a set where a kid has to entertain themself riding a minecart in circles, I'm guessing that spring function has gotta be one of the play features. Also, why both sizes of magma cube, but only tiny slimes? Love the translucency though. My hunch is a large slime will be featured in a future set centered around the slime block (a real game-changing block, honestly, be it for its ability to grip blocks in redstone contraptions or bounce the player/break their fall) where part of the play is slaying a slime to get round 1x1 slime green tiles.
  24. I didn't even realize that pickaxe was lavender to indicate it's enchanted, but that's a really awesome inclusion. It's hard to tell if the coloring is solid, but it would be nice if the lavender is pearlescent. Same goes for the leather armor, I guess I thought it was just gold at first glance. Also wanted to note those lily pads have a rather clever construction. They appear to be two Mixels teeth alongside two melon slices all in solid green to make the perfect representation. I've also been trying to figure out what that transparent green thing on the witch's hut's ledge is, as it's a different shape from the potions on the brewing stand, and my best guess is it's a splash potion of poison, like the ones those nasty witches use in game to drain your health. Now, I wonder what the two summer sets will bring to the table.. There's such an expansive array of items and blocks in the Minecraft universe, what do you guys think is coming next/ absolutely has to come out before the license ends? And how much longer do you think the theme is going to last? I hope a couple more years at least. This summer I'm hoping one of the two sets is a desert temple with a chicken or two included.
  25. I thought that was a little funny as well, considering Lego will likely sell fewer than with other battle packs due to the lack of an army builder draw, but I'm not gonna question a good thing! Four desired bounty hunter figs for under $15 is an excellent deal. My only concern at this point is whether they're going to come with stud shooter blasters instead of appropriate blasters and rifles. Easy, cheap fix, but goodness do we need gun updates for the Star Wars theme.
