Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
THELEGOBATMAN replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
After sleeping on those leaks, I like them less honestly. Minifigures are great in each set, but I'm not feeling some of the builds. Plane Fighter Chase is still really good imo. It feels complete — both vehicles are well-built and appropriately sized, and the road sign is like a cherry on top. The Lost Tomb is such a weird set. The wall and the statues feel completely disconnected, even tho they are supposed to be a part of the same structure. I have no idea what is going on with that wall too. The base makes it even emptier — it's like someone made a few good, separate builds, and just put it randomly on a single plate. The Temple of Doom looks kinda fun, but the main section is ugly, and barely resembles what we've seen in the movie. The tracks look okay, although half of them are covered with the main section. Also, everything that's going on at the base is a mess, random plates sticking out here and there don't look good at all. -

All of those sets (the Brickheadz and the Icons Rivendell) are LotR sets, but none of them are part of the LotR theme. -

It's an internal leak. Things like that are sent out to the company that produces those magazines so they get an outline of what they are making this year. -

It does. I'm gonna be really disappointed if we don't get Lizard. Surprising we still don't have this character as a minifigure. Sandman would be nice, but whatever really, because we've gotten at least five variants of him. -

Yeah, but I feel like a yearly magazine spreadsheet is something too random to fake. The first seven minifigures are definitely real, as we've seen some of them in other magazine leaks. I feel like we have no reason not to believe it. -

I meant it more in an impressively-built way, as it looks like no set LEGO has ever done. But yeah, I need to see more angles, as it looks pretty empty. Something is definitely missing. -

Nah, I just phrased it weirdly I meant that I've found the whole spreadsheet with all twelve minfigures, and not just the cropped version. It was posted by lego_minecraft_goat on Instagram, a reliable leaker who gave us most of the Summer set numbers, and other leaks too. -

Fighter Plane Chase looks great. The car is really well built, and so is the plane. The road sign is a nice addition. Open jacket for Indy is great, but Senior's hat should've been a new mould. The Lost Tomb is really impressive. Didn't expect it to look almost like a diorama. The floor could've used more details tho. Great to see Marion has dual-moulded legs. The Temple of Doom also looks pretty good, although I'm kinda disappointed. The statue amd the whole middle section is completely inaccurate — the skull doesn't even look like a skull. I like that it's more compact, but the base still feels randomly scattered. Minifigures will definitely be the standout tho. Overall, it's a really good wave, but I need to see it in HD to fully judge it. Hope it happens sooner than later, seeing as it's already leaked. -

I've seen the whole magazine spreadsheet (the one with five new Summer minfigures), and it's definitely real (also, it was reposted by a very reliable leaker). The remaining magazine minifigures for the whole year are: February / March: General Vangelis March / April: Dragon Cole April / May: General Aspheera May / June: Golden Zane (no mask) June / July: Oni Garmadon [switch to the new series] July / August: Kai August / September: Ras September / October: Arin October / November: Raz November / December: Lloyd -

This is truly the biggest week for LEGO leaks ever. Minfigures for the next Ninjago series, twelve adult set concepts for 2023–2024, and now three sets from the return of Indiana Jones -

There's a rumour about a 200€ No Way Home set on Instagram, apparently coming from someone who attended the Nuremberg Toy Fair. You know, after the recent events (the big leak, and random Instagram accounts suddenly giving us true information) there could be something to it -

My point exactly. Including two set numbers without any context over that picture does create a bit of confusion. Unless both of them are N-1 -

Actually, lego_minecraft_goat's post included two set numbers: 75355 (a 240€ May UCS set) and 75361 (a set we haven't heard of until now) — with an image of an N-1 Starfighter underneath it. -

I don't think it's a D2C set. I mean, the first time we heard about this set was from a regular retailer. It might be exclusive to LEGO for a month or a few, but eventually it will be available in retailers around the world. -

Definitely won't be a part of the D2C. I suppose it has been pretty long since we got a Desert Skiff tho, huh? I think it's a very likely option for an August set. -

They also said that Jabba's Sail Barge releases later this year. Definitely makes sense. -

Huh, that's actually a really good point. Some of those sets won't release for at least a year (like Barad-dûr, or the Burrow), which gives them quite some time. -

Yeah, the leak is real. This is from the magazine schedule for the remaining year. The sets weren't finished when they got it, and that's why the minifigures are unfinished. I really like the ninja suits, especially the part under the helmet. The villains look fantastic too, really fresh for Ninjago. -

I suppose they will. This is a breach of NDA, and I think LEGO takes it pretty seriously. -

Promobricks is as reliable as it gets, but they did mention that those leaks came from a source they haven't ever encountered, and that they don't guarantee it's actually true. Still, I think we have every reason to believe it is. -

That's something that has never happened before. And mind you, it's not an actual set leak. These are set concepts, some closer to being finished and some further, for late 2023 and early–mid 2024. -

They do, but LEGO got so much better at holding the leaks at bay. They might never leak, most likely we'll just have to wait for LEGO to reveal it themselves.
