Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
THELEGOBATMAN replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Unless he's only heard descriptions, which is even worse. Then the choices itself for sets would suck, in which case for most people the quality wouldn't even matter as they wouldn't be buying those sets. -

Not in terms of builds. The pictures we've seen for June wave - the only thing that will differ (apart from maybe small changes in builds) are minifigures and printings (Basilisk for example). Just take two smaller sets from Ninjago - the builds look exactly the same, only minfigures are much better and different. -

It looks fantastic, but with this piece count it'd cost around $400, which is basically Diagon Alley's price. -
LEGO Ninjago 2021

I honestly don't mind the show being underwhelming as long as the sets are amazing like they are. Ninjago is definitely in my top 3 themes, and since S10 I've not been disappointed yet, all of those sets are awesome and the setting they choose for each one is always different and intriguing. -

Well... I like the June wave as well but the August wave? God no ~ @Guyon2002 -

Yeah I mean of course it's business and they calculated that it would make them more money. -

Honestly, we should treat this year's wave as a nice gesture from Lego - instead of leaving us with nothing because of Dominion's delay, at least we have those few sets, even tho they won't probably be that good. -

I don't know why, but that really good PPP ratio somehow disturbs me... I hope I'm wrong, and they are just good value instead of something weird June release date is almost certainly just a mix-up on their part. -
DC Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
THELEGOBATMAN replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
It all depend on Lego tho. We have a lot of DC movies coming, and the variety is bigger then ever - but based on previous patterns, will they make Shazam! Fury of The Gods or Black Adam sets? We can only hope so. -

Watch those 3 The Batman sets be the only DC sets in 2022 2017 was the peak for sets based on DC, and I don't think it'll ever get better than that. I still have all my TLBM sets displayed and they look stunning together. -

Do you mean worse with each year, or is it even worse in 2022 I guess the first one tho. I mean just compare it to this year's Marvel - 8 comic sets, 7 MCU sets, 3 Spider-Man sets (possibly MCU), 7 Avengers sets, 1 D2C, 1 bust, 1 Advent Calendar and then 1 CMF series. Isn't that crazy? This year's ratio is 29 to 5 -

Yeah, this year is a huge disappointment for DC. We're getting literally 5 sets. Not to mention that one of them is an accessory pack, another is a 4+ set, then there's a bust and a D2C set - which leaves us with one regular DC set. This really has to be the worst year for any theme ever. -

76181 and 76183 are 2022 sets for The Batman. 76180 and 76182 are Batman 66 vs Joker 4+ and Batman bust respectively, both coming May 1st. 76239 is a 40€ Batman set coming October 1st. 75240 is a 230€ Batman set coming Nivember 1st. As you can see, this is not a wave. There are 3 "waves" this year with 4 sets in total, which is basically nothing. -

Well you're wrong. Not to mention that I'd be way too early for November leaks. May 4+ set is based on 1966 series. -

Fingers crossed. But I think this the case where a lot depends on Marvel itself, and how much they decide to show Lego - for example it didn't work as good for Endgame... -

Oh well I mean at least they are affordable - 15€, 40€ and 70€ sound really good imo. I'll probably either pickup up two smaller ones or one bigger, depending on the villains. -

I would actually be really surprised if even one of those characters didn't appear in a pack like that tbh. -
Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion

Really? Well for me The Batman is my most anticipated movie, probably, ever (my 2nd favourite character after Spidey). Marvel movies are a mixed bag - Love and Thunder I'm excited for SO MUCH, In The Multiverse of Madness will definitely be really good and have amazing sets, but Black Panther 2 and Captain Marvel 2... not even remotely excited (except for Kamala and Monica in CM2). -

The best they would be able to do are tie-in sets like those we got for the last 3 years - crappy builds and a lot of Spider-Men. Sony just isn't into making Lego sets, and it's not like their deal with Marvel helps either. Before someone mentions that, MCU Spidey sets are a different case. -

2022 will be so big - The Batman, Dominion, (hopefully) Deathly Hallows sets, (at least) 4 MCU movies (including Love and Thunder, my most anticipated one), (hopefully) something special for Marvel's 10th anniversary, and not to mention a lot of Disney+ series, both Marvel and Star Wars. -

Yeah, a lot of how I distribute my budget this year depends on Summer Avengers sets and August Harry Potter sets - but from what you've said about August wave, I'll probably end up getting just Hogsmeade, as I guess we'll just get more terrible Hogwarts sets. -

Knowing Lego we'd just get Harry, Malfoy, Cedric and Cho
