Not really—the movie releases a month later than the previous ones, so it's only fair the sets do too. Actually, I just noticed how weirdly the biggest July movies are treated by LEGO: Superman isn't even getting a set, Fantastic Four is getting only one, and Jurassic World is getting a whole wave.

Yes and no. I feel like 2025 is the best year for LEGO ever, personally—a Spider-Verse set and a whole CMF series, more Andor, Lilo & Stitch house, another Horizon set, Arkham D2C, a cheaper LotR D2C (based on my favourite location too), How to Train Your Dragon set, a Fantastic Four set (with all members at that), Ninjago being better than ever, a whole One Piece theme, another Fast & Furious set... Literally half my LEGO dreams are suddenly getting fulfilled. I couldn't be happier. But then you have some baffling decisions, like—no Superman set(s), ever-increasing prices, Star Wars becoming a gimmick / Clone Wars extravaganza, How to Train Your Dragon getting a buildable figure instead of an actual set or a whole theme... So I am happier than ever with LEGO, but also some of their choices (and especially the Superman set) really sting.

Eat Chewbacca. You can give that Clayface to me. That's what I'm really afraid of now. The only way I could be interested in buying the Arkham is only if it's a colorful, comicbook-based set. If it's focused on The Animated Series, or worse yet, any of the movies, my interest will deflate immediately.

I never even saw a reliable leaker mention a price for either of those sets. Both Bag End and Krusty Burger had estimated price points, but from what I understand they were just guesses. For Bag End, various ones have been thrown around, from 250–400€—always a different one at that. The piece counts are what's real. We will have to wait for the prices.

I hope not. Even though LotR isn't a theme now, I want its sets to have a more varied price range than 500€, 500€, 500€...

Uh-uh, uh-huh... so as I was saying, this isn't Star Wars anymore. It's Clone Wars. Just ridiculous. I won't even comment on another Clone battle pack, or a weirdly-sized Clone vehicle. The AT-ST sounds neat, but I wonder why it's a regular 18+ set instead of a UCS one. I mean, they're all real. Those rumours come from reliable sources. It's just... it doesn't sound real. LEGO literally forgot about any other Star Wars projects at this point.

Come on, that price is obviously wrong. Rivendell has 6167 pieces at 500€, while Barad-dûr has 5471 pieces at 460€. There's no way Bag End, with 2017 pieces, while go anywhere above 200€. I am so glad we're finally getting a smaller LotR D2C. Combined with the fact that it's my favourite location from all the movies, it'll be hard not to pick this one up.

You know what's funny? Schumacher's Batman movies, which are widely regarded as some of the worst DC movies ever, are apparently getting a set... ...but a brand-new Superman movie doesn't. Makes it even more ridiculous, because apparently LEGO believes that something like a Schumacher Batcave will seel well, while a Superman set won't.

We get Quicksilver rumours every year, for some reason. I wouldn't take those to heart. It'll just be buildable figures and Infinity Saga sets. I really hope we get smaller X-Men sets though, and more Spider-Verse ones would obviously also be welcome.

How about, hear me out... a mix of all? Like, is this not an obvious solution? The new series get just a set or two. The Sequel Trilogy has barely gotten any sets in the past five years. Location sets are non-existent at this point. Originals get four times less sets than they did before. Buildable figures and 18+ gimmicks are aplenty. Lightsaber-focused prequels don't get lightsaber-focused sets. Rogue One, Rebels, and Solo haven't been touched since their premiere. Clone Wars barely gets sets without clones. Series like Andor and Skeleton Crew get a single set, while The Mandalorian gets at least a few sets per year. There are no location-based D2C sets. Smaller sets barely exist at this point. Why are there two 150€ regular sets in a single wave with only a few sets? And so on, and so on. I could keep going, but what's the point? This year alone the waves are almost entirely dedicated to helmets, midi-ships, buildable characters, and other gimmicks alike. Yay, another Clone-focused set... I won't even lie, I hate how oversatured this theme is recently with those. It's becoming repetitive, and frankly, quite boring. The awful piece count is just a cherry on top—813 pieces for 150€?! That sounds like a 4+ set, if they made them at that scale. Simply laughable.

Some of the piece counts are surprisingly bad, especially for Ninjago's standards. The small sets are normal, and the big ones are quite great, but the middle ones? 381 pcs for 45€, 584 pcs for 70€, 561 pcs for 90€, 996 pcs for 120€? That's not good at all. Also, the dissonance between the 100€+ mechs is weird—Lloyd's has over 200 pieces more, but somehow costs 20€ less than the Kai one?

Eight sets in August is more than I expected. Intriguing that all of them (except the ones without a piece count) don't go above 400 pieces.

Also worth noting that the sets are releasing in June.

The book nook has 1201 pieces, so we can expect quite a big set—especially compared to the Harry Potter one, which only has 832 of them.

I am glad we're getting Schumacher-based sets instead of more Burton and Nolan ones, but... I really expected it to just be based on the comicbooks. They're leaning too heavily into movie-based sets, just as they are doing with LEGO Marvel. It's either movie sets, or generic mechs and cars. Nothing in between. How I miss the early days of the Super Heroes theme.

So, uh... some news on the Batcave... The set has 909 pieces (with a 100€ price) and it's releasing on August 1st. The big thing though? Apparently it's based on Schumacher's Batman movies—one leaker has posted the above information with the Batman & Robin Batcave in the background, and another is saying that this image is very important to this particular set.

One Piece is peak though. I'm so excited for those sets. Superman not getting any sets is beyond ridiculous, but I don't see how One Piece is supposed to affect it in the slightest. By that logic any new theme or set would be weird to get.

No it shouldn't. It's named "teaser"—it teases the movie. I mean, seriously. Is it actually your first teaser trailer? Because that's always how they are. It just depends on the viewer about how much they'll make from the context. Where are you pulling your ridiculous assumptions out of? Atmosphere is one of the reasons, sure, but you have to have been living under a rock if you think that’s the only one. Obvious not everyone liked it, never said so anyway. Same as not everyone liked The Dark Knight, or any other praised movie. Doesn't change the fact that the majority of people love it, and it's widely regarded as one of the best comicbook movies ever.

No it doesn't. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it deserves any slander. It's an incredible movie—loved by fans, casual moviegoers, and critics alike. Is... is it your first time seeing a teaser trailer? You can't be serious, right? That's what actual trailers are for—telling you what the movie is about. Teaser trailers are just snippets of the movie, usually a cool montage or a longer sequence. They're supposed to show what the aesthetic and the climate is about, without revealing any story details. Also what your asking for is completely irrelevant at this point. Just wait and see the movie! Why would a trailer for a Superman movie tell you why a tertiary supporting character is wearing a uniform from a non-appearing character? Weasel's backstory in the new episode is quite possibly my favourite thing Gunn has ever made—and that's coming from someone who would put all his works in a "top 10 comicbook projects ever". Every movie is about making money. How is Oppenheimer different from it? Killers of the Flower Moon? Longlegs? Literally anything? Every movie's goal is to ultimately make money. That's why studios finance them. You might say, "Okay, but it depends what the director's (or writer's, or anyone's from the cast & crew) goal is." But it doesn't—ultimately, they also want it to make money, because that means the studio will finance another movie, and all they want to do is keep making movies. Of course, you can approach it from various angles—some projects allow the creator's to take the helm, letting them deliver the best version of the product they can. Some, on the other hand, try to nip their creativity in the bud, focusing on cold calculations on how to make the movie. But the point is, all movies are still, ultimately, made for money. And I don't really see what you're trying to say about Superman.
