  1. I think it really depends on the compartment. For example the Bathroom has an exceptional interior with fantastic details, while the Fluffy Encounter ones... I get the 16x8 one, as Fluffy is supposed to fit in there, but Devil's Snares are really small, and the 3rd compartment is literally empty. Saying that, I'll choose the new wave in an instant in a heartbeat, because of a single reason - connectivity. While 2018-2020 sets looked amazing on their own, I think they looked pretty terrible when connected to each other. They were this one, inconsistent line of random, yet iconic Hogwarts compartments. This one, on the other hand, is consistent in every way, and the possibilities of connecting them with each other are endless. Also, in 2018-2020, I hated how unaffordable they were. Except for 20€ RoR (which was good, but it was just a wall) and 80€ WW (which is already a big set), they were 100€ each. This ones can be 100€, 150€, 50€, or even 10€. That's what I love about it. Well, to be fair that's just your opinion. There are many people (including me), who love those expansions, or like them even more than the 2018-2020 ones (also including me). @Textorix himself said that they are fine, but he just can't imagine the Clock Tower in this style, that's what they were discussing.
  2. Well the Hospital Wing is located within the Clock Tower, so it only makes sense. The new expansions focus much more on the interior than on the exterior. That means that from 2018-2020 they were like "hey, let's do the Clock Tower, or the Astronomy Tower", while from 2021 they are more like "hey, let's do the Hospital Wing, or the Moaning Myrtle Bathroom".
  3. Well, not really - the Chamber of Secrets is $140 and includes 11 8x8 compartments (plus 5 roofs and CoS entrance). The Great Hall itself in this set includes only 3 8x8 compartments (technically a 24x8 compartment) and 3 roofs, same as the new Clock Tower (we're not sure about how many roofs it includes tho). That part of the leak is correct, Promobricks is never wrong about the prices. That's not the point of the new Hogwarts expansions - they are supposed to be connectable to each other. To be fair there really aren't much characters left for them to do.
  4. That's because they are not going for a full-perfect Lego replica of the Clock Tower - they have to adjust it to the new style, meaning it's only 8 studs wide.
  5. This one has 510 pieces. Last one had 922 pieces. Don't you realise how the new Hogwarts style works? You get multiple 8x8 (sometimes 16x8 or 24x8) compartments, which you can easily connect. This new expansion has 3 of them (we don't know how many roofs or tower-roofs are included).
  6. Well, it's in the same way that this year's Chamber of Secrets was a remake of the 2018 Great Hall set, Both include the Great Hall, but they are vastly different from each other. This set is also based on the Clocktower, just like the 2019 set, but that's where the similarities end. After this year's Hogwarts expansions revolutions it would be illogical to omit most recognised Hogwarts compartments with this new style.
  7. God I hope so. Seeing as this year was mainly PS and CoS, I hope they make more sets from movies beyond that. We need a Shrieking Shack from PoA, so that's definitely what I'd count on. But I hope they include Werewolf Lupin in a 50€+ Shrieking Shack / Whomping Willow set, and a regular Lupin in a 20€ Hogwarts expansion. Just imagine a 20€ expansion (like Polyjuice Potion Mistake) with Harry, Lupin and a Boggart Dementor, with a DADA classroom that includes a wardrobe. It'd be amazing.
  8. Because they are self-contained sets that every kid will love. Just imagine, as a child, seeing an openable Harry Potter book with a classroom and 3 minifigs. Yesss They need to do it. Also, Beans for Dumbledore. I expect them to include little Easter Eggs like those in this set.
  9. This actually sounds like an amazing January wave! I don't collect Hogwarts Moments sets, but I understand that they work as a once-a-year type of gimmick. And as they are not the only sets in the wave, I don't mind them one bit. Nice to get Patil twins (well, at least one of them, again). Kinda disappointed that we'll get another Moody (seeing as we already have a perfect one) instead of Lupin, who we got only once in a pretty big set. The suitcase set sounds so intriguing. Definitely not going to buy it, but it sounds so weird, I can't wait to see it. Dorm rooms are there, and customizable minifigs? AND it's just 50€? Sounds great. Now for my favourite - finally, the Hospital Wing. It sounds so good. Minifigures sound great (Madame Pomfrey at last, and I hope Harry gets a new torso). It also sounds like a great build. It has only 3 8x8 compartments with 510 pieces (wonder how many roofs there are?) - for comparison, 76387 had 4 8x8 compartments with 3 roofs AND a buildable creature, and not even 400 pieces. That means that we can expect this build to be really detailed (can't wait to get some of them sweets).
  10. Ooh this is getting exciting Cannot wait for the news. But please, give us more than some random gimmicks. 18 CEST, so yeah, one hour and one minute to go.
  11. I've just seen Shang-Chi, and I think it just became my favourite MCU movie. Simply incredible That is why my disappointment in those sets is even greater. Great Protector is great, love this build. But the 30€ set is a mess with inaccurate builds (might be the wrong word, as they haven't even appeared in the film)... Minifigures are also so bad. Shang-Chi without a new face and dual-moulded arms with a regular brown stick... Wenwu with the most generic face ever... Death Dealer with his ponytail printed on the back of his face... Razor Fist with black hair... I do like Xialing and Katy tho. Not as much as I could, but compared to the other they do look better (especially the latter).
  12. Not necessarily. The series is coming in December (as far as we know), which means the set(s) could come before 2021 - for example first The Mandalorian set released a month before the series.
  13. I honestly think that the Shang-Chi sets were made before Lego started putting more effort into the Marvel sets - more accurate characters and builds, with more details and prints. Eternals, The Infinity Saga and Spider-Man sets are all stunning.
  14. What do you guys think happened to the one remaining 2021 set (except for the UCS AT-AT), 75369? Do you think it could be a set for The Book of Boba Fett, this being the reason why we know nothing about it yet? Or do you think it was either a misunderstanding or the set was cancelled?
  15. So glad they are going back to Battle Packs. This one sounds really great. Regular blasters, display stand for minifigs and a new Trooper variant. What doesn't sound so great is the price increase. 20€ for 100 pieces and 4 minifigs (3 of them being the same)? Kinda sucks.
  16. New Batman minifig from Batman Begins will serve nicely for my profile picture, that is until we see The Batman sets
  17. It's kinda herd to say with sets that we're pushed back a whole year. We might hear some descriptions this year, but I wouldn't count on actual seeing the sets. But who knows, leaks are becoming weirder and weirder with each year.
  18. Finally, why did they wait so long after revealing them.
  19. In my opinion ComicCon exclusives are usually okay. I mean there are 3 sets types that I am okay with, and 2 that I am not okay with: Ones that I am okay with would be Brickheadz, sets that include minifigures that aren't exclusive (or at least none of their parts are, I mean that they have no exclusive prints) and minifigures that we wouldn't even care about (like Sheriff Deadpool). Ones that I'm not okay with are sets that include exclusive minfigures that aren't released later, like the Black Widow set. Not only does it include a new variant of Black Widow, but a whole new character too. Same happened with Captain Marvel but at least they released the blue suit later as a polybag. The other one would be desirable minifigs - Symbiote Spider-Man, Barbara from Stranger Things, or PS Spider-Man.
  20. Oh sorry, I thought they were talking about a system scale Batmobile, not a D2C one
  21. They include only 2 minifigs in Batmobiles tho.
  22. That's like saying that new Loki is just Loki with a coat, or new Wanda is just Wanda but with a new suit.
  23. The sets are live on Shop@Home You cannot pre-order them yet, but they are there. I hate how unceremoniously Lego reveals Super Heroes sets. When they revealed this Barcelona Stadium set, they made a whole introduction video, and properly dropped it on the social medias. But when it comes to Super Heroes, they just randomly drop them on Shop@Home. Lol no they won't, same as they made the 2014 Joker exclusive to that set. Now they are making a remake of this set, so it's logical they had to include him. But it's very clear they want this version of Joker to stay in a D2C set. The only Joker variant from this movie left is the Nurse Joker, but they won't make a set based on a scene where a hospital is blown.
  24. I feel like Strange would be a much more intersting choice than Gamora or, if we count characters outside of What If...?, Monica. I'll probably also say the same thing when the Party Thor episode comes out.
  25. They'll want to keep Ledger's Joker variants exclusive to the 2 D2Cs.
