    I'm going to be 47 later this year I remember having a bunch of the sets from the 80's and 90's and having to use my imagination to come up with good villain characters because there weren't a lot of variation in minifig heads so I ended up using solid black heads for my villians. The original green dragon was great still have mine in my lego room. I always liked the fantasy parts of lego back then it made me feel that Lego castle was a wide world that had many different things to it. Today there are so many different parts and figs it's actually amazing the possibilities of creating worlds, creatures and races. And now with all these new factions it's going to be even better.

    People can view castle however they want to but mainly my point was that Lego has had some fantasy elements in their castle themes. The castle theme hasn't been a staight up medieval theme either. I think it's ok to include fantastical elements to their themes and it makes the lego castle theme more exciting and makes for a wider variety of races, creatures and settings in my opinion.

    The way you are phrasing it seems like you are saying that if it doesn't fit into your view it's not castle. I'm saying that's a pretty narrow view since Lego has included fantasy elements in the classic castle theme for a very long time. I'm also saying not everyone is going to agree on what's castle and what's not and Lego has to somehow make everyone happy with what they put out. I personally don't mind fantasy elements in a castle theme and also wouldn't mind if there were no fantasy elements in a castle theme either. I'm just happy to see any castle sets and especially new figs and new settings.

    I don't understand this view that if I don't like it it shouldn't be in castle theme. Lego has to connect with a lot of different people all across the world it's not just what you want. Yeah there may be things you don't like in a theme but lego has to try to appeal to people all over the world so it is ok to have things that are a little different and may not fit into your view of what the castle theme is. I mean realistically the lego castle theme isn't real anyway it's all made up and not based on real life. Variety in castle is good. I wasn't a huge fan of the 2013 castle line but bought several sets for the figs and pieces to add to my castle/fantasy lego world. It's ok to not like something that's in the castle theme but to expect other people to view castle exactly how you do isn't goin to work. Each person has their own view of what the castle theme is and that is perfectly fine and good. That is a fairy not an elf. Elves are like humans with point ears most of the time depending on the creators and they usually live a very long time. They also usually tend to be one with nature and the land. There are also dark elves that are more evil. goblins are like orcs but smaller. Of course this isn't everything elves and goblins are but these are some generalities. This is a very closed minded view of things and once again it's all in what you want when there are millions of lego castle fans out there.

    Thank you for the info. it will be a useful part especially with modifying the new 3in1 castle with the horse knights.

    Does that piece come in other colors? I noticed it looking at the leaked images and thought it would be a great decorative piece.

    I'm not saying they would do it. LionKing said that he would like to see a female centered minifig theme with fantasy creatures and I was saying they did something similar already just with minidolls being the Elves theme.

    Depends on how you view castle as a theme. I mean lego had the fantasy era castle sets so it was included within the castle line. I have my own castle/fantasy world. I don't get hung up on realism for my castle stuff, i like using stuff from other themes too like LOTR/Hobbit, Ninjago, Dreamzzz, hidden side, Marvel, DC, HP, SW, Monkie kid, etc to create figs and use parts to fill out my world in lego. Also if you look at it Lego's castle theme is meant to use your imagination too it's had dragons, wizards, witches, skeletons, ghosts, so it's definitely had some fantasy elements to the theme.

    Yeah I just picked up 2 more Paladin's from Barnes and Noble. I've finally got a decent size unit of them now at 14. The beastmaster has been so hard to find. Hopefully I can find a few more of him as things calm down towards the end of this cmf run.

    Still will make the wolf easier to get trying to find the beastmaster has been incredibly hard I have only found 3 so far.

    Fantasy era and Kingdoms were my favorite themes. Would love to see an original Lego theme with fantasy creatures like minotaurs, centaurs, dwarves, elves, dark elves, goblins, demons, lizard men, dragons, griffons, halflings, gnomes, etc. There would be so much to explore and the architecture for each could be very different.

    I actually have some of the Elves sets the Elvenstar tree set was great and I use it for my Moon Elves. The Elves theme had some great pieces that I use in my fantasy world and the Goblin King dragon is a really nice looking dragon. I also used several of the hair and hood pieces for customizing my figs.

    You said a female centered theme with fantasy creatures which is literally what Elves was just not minifigs. Hence why I said Like Elves.

    Friends Pony ranch has some horse pieces in black that could be useful for decorations or statues.

    Pigeons do look great and the Wolves will be on PAB for sure now that's excellent.

    There is a new pear piece coming in some of the animal crossing sets. It will be nice to have some different fruit variety instead of just the apple and cherry pieces. Hopefully that shield ends up on PaB that would be great.

    yeah that's an interesting design there. Set looks good in my opinion. The figs look great and will definitely try to get multiple of this like the other 3in1. The alt build look good too. The figs will be popular on PaB for sure.

    yeah it was speculated days ago when the leak popped up. Now confirmed. Can't wait to get some red foxes soon hopefully.

    That Herbology HP set has some great pieces the new pot piece and the Mandrakes will make for some interesting pieces to be used in MOC's. Also, that bubble piece in sand green looks very useful also. I can't tell what gold piece is used on the top that looks to have a hook on it but definitely a set worth getting.

    I think it will be a unicorn on the shield or possibly something like what the unicorn cmf fig had on it's shield.
