Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
Undi3sss replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
Kinda disappointed that Sandman's arm isn't a bigger aspect of the build, and the lack of The Lizard as well. I'm still hoping one day we get a modular Oscorp building, with The Lizard and Curt. The Daily Bugle has a giant TV with Curt on it so they'd just tie in so well together. -

And now it hurts even more that I'll never get City or the Docks 😅. -

I hope the D2C is a modular. Avengers Tower is inevitable to me, but I want to see Oscorp more. They could have so many villian origin stories in it, and the spider bite. Plus the Bugle teased Curt Conners, so his lab would be nice. -
Love the set, but $800 in Australia is freaking insane!. Guess I'll have to sell some organs to Science 😏

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Undi3sss replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I kinda feel like it would've looked better without the Pizzeria side; just making the Jazz Club side bigger. Had this same thought last year with the Art Gallery. Is the Tailor the same guy from the Bookstore (minus different pants); does ge go and buy "Sewing for Dummies" books to keep his business a float!? 😂 Also kinda sad I didn't get around to finishing my first moc modular before this got revealed, since it has a pizzeria that looks very similar on the inside (at least this one doesnt also have a butcher shop and mafia office 😂). -
I personally love the new road plates, but for me personally I don't want to see them in Winter Village sets. Prince point aside, I always picture like lil country style cobblestone roads (think Diagon Alley) over the big asphalt style roads in a city so they don't belong aseptically imo. Initially I was a bit dissapointed by the idea of another toy store, but I like the fake head canon idea I have that one is a nice little local family buissness that hand crafts his own toys with love, and the other is a rival chain company coming in with the modern era toys haha.

what do you call your lego city/ names for lego city?
Undi3sss replied to legoguy1984's topic in LEGO Town
I still haven't decided on my cities name; I'm still yet to make a giant mountain behind my city with a Hollywood esque sign haha! My name is Undies, so i'm leaning on Unditopia atm though. If anyone can think of a good pun name that links underpants and a city, i'm all ears?. -
i'm 50/50 on a park set. On one hand it could be really nice, and blend into the Market set well. Maybe like a large choir or woodwind band in a gazebo as the main bit?. A big aspect of Christmas is the music and vibe, so we do lack a big concert gathering area. On the other hand, it's not as exciting to me as a building build to add to my street, and the Market is probably my least favourite WV set because it's just lots of little builds that don't blend into the street of shops well imo. All my thoughts on how you could make the park exciting also make me think it'll be too samey. We just had the New Year Ice Skating Rink so it'll be boring if this park also features ice skating. I only just got around to bricklinking garland stuff to moc that set into a christmas setting too haha.

I'm loving the Marvel Modulars so far, and I can't wait for more, but it makes me sad that DC isn't getting the same amount of treatment. Personally i'd like a Gotham City series of modulars; Wayne Tower, Arkham Asylum, Jokers Funland, the Iceburg Lounge. I know theres lots of non Batman buildings that would be iconic, like the Daily Planet and Fortress of Solitude, but Batman is the main appeal of DC to me.

The Elves represent Dwarfism. Jokes aside, it would be pretty great to have more diversity in Winter Village. Maybe a deaf person? they wouldn't have to hear Mariah Carey ''AlI want for Christmas is You'' haha.

I personally would love remakes of some of the older sets I don't have, the updated Toy Shop is probably my favourite WV set. That said the reception for the Toy Shop remake taking up the spot of something new was so bad I doubt they'd do it again anytime soon. They'll have to do two seperate releases I think. I'm really hoping the larger piece count means a bit of landscaping? Like the Grinches' House ontop of a hill to over look the village in disgust.

Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

Ice Cream trucks are like becoming the new Police/Fire stations. The gaming tournament truck sounds the most unique outta this line up so far. -
I might be the minority, but I'm hoping it's another "fantasy/lore" style set. I like the realistic buildings, and would totally welcome a candy store, library, police station etc, but the Elf Clubhouse and Gingerbread House style ones are my favourites. Something like an Iceburg House with a fishing hole, with Penguin minifigures would be nice. Or a house for Nutcrackers, A Grinch, Snowmen.

It makes sense that it's not a modular building, 1 a year is usually what Lego do. I woulda loved it to be an Avengers Tower though so hopfully next year?. I still really hope we get a modular Oscorp one day too!. You could have Peter Parker getting bitten, lots of villian origins too. Plus they teased Curt Conners in the Daily Bugle so having him in the set would be great. Anyway one idea I was thinking of that could be good; what if it's a statue of Stan Lee (similar to how we had brick built minifigures in the Harry Potter line awhile back), but with some other things like a Spiderman comic, props from his cameos, Tony Stank parcel etc (similar to the UCS Hedwig). -

They look so good together!!! I can't wait for Lego to make more Marvel (and hopefully DC) modulars. -
Was watching reviews for some of the new Monkie Kid sets, there is a really cool treasure map/scroll piece Mei is holding in the Team Van set (80038). I don't know much about the story of Monkie Kid but the City of Lanterns set had a big Golden Lotus Flower on top of one of the buildings, and this treasure map seemed to be searching for that Lotus Flower. I am certainly inspired to make a Johnny Thunder and the search for the Golden Lotus Flower moc set now.

These are really great alt builds, my favourite so far is you Police Station. Would love to see you tackle an alt for the Home Alone house; i've yet to see anyone do it, and as someone who doesn't care for that movie it's something i've been curious about.

I'm not that interested in Avatar tbh, it was amazing for its time but i'm not that excited for the sequels. The tree of souls looks so nice though, it could make a very nice weeping cherry tree to go with the bonsai tree set.

I only don't like how the trees are black, brown trunks would've looked so much nicer imo. I get it's to match the forestmen/classic sets but still.- 2,976 replies

I love the modulars (I have everything post Palace Cinema, and wish I could have the others), but these two Marvel ones really hit me differently, they're soooo awesome and full of nostalgia/easter eggs. I hope we get more licensed modulars asap. Avengers Tower is the obviously one, but i'd love Oscorp (Curt Conners was on a sticker in the Bugle, so this would be the perfect place to have him as an actual figure or figures), The Baxter Building, or even a DC modular for Wayne Tower and Arkham Asylum. Also between the Sanctum, Lions Castle, Space Set, etc I have no idea how i'll afford my bills this year. -

So I finally purchased the new Diagon Alley set, loving the build so far. I have a dumb question for you hardcore Potter fans that I didn't see mentioned before; in the Quality Quidditch Supplies store there are four boxes of clothes on the first floor. Red for Gryffindor, Green for Slytherin, Yellow for Hufflepuff and then Grey. Is there a reason why the last box isn't Blue for Ravenclaw?. -

The minifig list is disappointing for the Sanctum if true, I woulda liked America Chavez and there's a couple big spoiler characters in Dr Srange 2 who I know everyone would love to have. -

I have a snake phobia and the new train kinda gives me a snake vibe, not a fan at all haha. Too spoopy. Loving the minifigures we're getting here tho, the prosthetic leg is great!. Oh also the Train Station seems nice from the blurry photos I saw. Looked to have an official way to have road plates connect to train tracks at a crossing. Now we just need curved road plates for corner train tracks. -

Loving all the new animals, and the sheep being able to be sheared is a 10/10 play feature idea. I do wish the barn was more detailed, but it's a 4+ set so I can ignore that. I would have liked some fences for the animals though. The blue haired girl is cool, I'm liking how latley they've been giving us lots of new colours for hair instead of the more traditional colours. I like all the new logo'd farm outfits, though I think 60287's red tartan guy felt more farmy to me over these new ones.
